- "It's only visible if you know it's there." Watch a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to run Jackson Hole Mountain Resort's iconic Aerial Tram. Head Tram Mechanic Mike Vase and his team of tram mechanics take you on a journey high above Big Red and into the "crow's nest", soaring countless vertical feet on a daily basis and further cementing their status as the unsung heroes of the Jackson Hole Tram.
This was really cool to watch and experience. Thank you for posting this!
Good to see a Wyoming Boy representing!
This is some of the best branded content I've ever seen. Great storytelling. JH rules!
Agreed
belongs on the discovery channel or something
Has anyone seen the traveling Jackson Hold Keep it Wild Jeep Cherokee running around town? What a kewl ad campaign!!
Couldn't have said it better myself! Highlighting non-obvious roles, and elevating jobs that may be underappreciated. Kudos!
Awesome insight into the hidden world of lift maintenance.
I used to love riding on top when I did lift maintenance.
This is phuking rad! TY for the many trips to the top...stay safe & ride on!
My friend has a home in Wilson . I have been to the top of the mountain in the summer . Beautiful Gods country
Where would one go to school to be a lift mechanic
As a baby I. Was told that where baby come from asd
Chris Onufer's mom here. He loved that tram and I loved the video. Thank you
What an insane promotional video. Whoever directed this and shot it should be doing dam documentaries.
Awesome, keep them wheels spinning!
Also as for the accumulation of ice and snow on the instrumentation, I wonder have you considered engineering and routing some heating equipment to the area? Seems like it could work in at least some of those areas.
Most important job in the county
started so dramatic
love the vids
Great video. Very interesting. You folks stay safe up there.
I used to do that too, also as a tram mechanic. On the original tram and it's first replacement. Still have a few Frey AG Stans embossed Swiss army knives from then. Many years ago though, probably before these workers were even born. Nice video.

What's a Mountain man do when coming home from work 🤠?
{Word 1 or Word 2}
I've been on that tram several times over the years and I've always loved it! But I've never heard of a "tram junkie" before! Learn something new every day! God bless you brother! ❤
Ah Doppelmayr! I trust those with my life, but i’ll be honest and say the tiroler Zugspitze Bahn still gets me nervous
So much respect for all these guys! Alohas from Maui!
This is sick. You should paraski and lunch from that thing.
Thankful to have been able to hitch a ride in 2016. Can't pick between this or Lone Peak tram at Big Sky, both are incredible
Very cool need to snowboard here one day
Idk what i expected when i clicked on this but this is cool as fuck
WOW! I am so impressed! Fantastic video Mike Vase! I want to work for you!!
Good Job!
How do I get this job I will gladly do it
You guys are awesome! When we do visit for the first time, we will make sure to stop and say hello to any maintenance crew members we get a chance to see. You guys make peoples dreams come true. Thank you for your service.
As a retired mechanic i approve of this message! Heros for sure
Hail to the tram operators
I'm guessing this is what takes us to the ski trails.
This is NOT the tram I rode in 1977! 😎 🎉
this was so cool! now we need a video of Peter and the gondola team riding on top also. amazing stuff thanks for sharing!
This is so cool. Thank you for your hard work to everybody involved in making a skier or boarders dream a reality!
Where do i apply to join the crew? lol
Mike Vase! Dude, you rock!
This place sucks unless the snow is good but it was hard pack blown out. Paid $230 for blown out groomers and hard pack garbage. Should have gone to Mammoth or Tahoe
Our US Wired store sells outdoor ski sports equipment with guaranteed quality and ready for first time delivery.

Amazing! We just ski. Never think about how much work behind the scene. Hope I can ski some day at JH.
Must have been up on Big Red a hundred times and never noticed the Crow's Nest. Nope. JH my favorite ski area.
JHMR is forever a guide to my upbringing as an adult. Ski school management was killer, but the other fantastic employees on the hill made it.
Wild!
Amazing
Awesome content. Keep ‘em coming!
Very Impressive…
Gotta be in the Blood!😊 10:33
Great Story Telling... Loved the musical choices..
Amazing and incredible! Loved this video! Jesus bless you all!

So cool to see people doing something they really love. I met Mike IRL, Dude is a real one. Great video.
Amazing european engineering..
Why call it a tram, where are the rails?
Just finished my first trip to JHMR. Loved the tram ride to the top. Fun to find this video after getting home.
That's insane!! I was nervous just watching it.
Mike is one of my husbands best friends!!! Such a great human & he has such passion for this!!! ❤
I skied JH back in 1998, best skiing I ever did
Love that tram! Thanks for all that the crew does!
Love the passion this man has for his work
Crushing it! Love when I get to work on the mountains in Wyoming.
Damn those sheaves are stout looking!

Mikey V!!!
Strong work.

Radical...
Thanks to all you do! Looking forward to our January trip up there this year!
Crazy. The tram is still an incredible feat of engineering. Too many hotshots going up, though.
What do you mean?
@@owenjohnston3541 out of control skiers riding the tram …
That was 1 of the worst welds I've seen on youtube
I've done high-rise window cleaning on buildings above 600ft and wouldn't even consider doing this. That is real deal exposure, these guys are no joke. #respect
A big thank you for keeping the JH Tram in tip top condition. I think the tram got an overhaul in 2005. It's still looking great. It's one of kind in the USA.
Extremely impressive!!! EXTREMELY. I have been in Health and Safety for a decade and have seen countless preventative maintenance programs succeed and fail and this is literally the most impressive thing I have ever seen in that world. Unbelievable. Literally perfect. So so so impressive.
Wow...great video. Great passion and focus on keeping big red running with safety as a priority!!!
One of the coolest thing I did this Summer was taking the tram to the top of the mountain and having waffles. Amazing experience.
Brave souls not afraid of heights.
Riding up on top like it’s nothing.
Thanks to all of you brave souls for doing a great job keeping us safe.
I did this tram this summer. It was awesome . I would love to do it in the winter, though !
Much respect to the people that really put the work in
Such a spectacular ride with you and 99 other skiers! ⛷
And remember “If you don’t know…….Don’t go!”😉
Thanks for all the effort to keep this running safely.
Greetings from 🇨🇦.
