I was really impressed by how well you demonstrated the differences in the patterns. Most videos leave out some aspect, like how to fold the fabric. You really thought out those little details. The examples with the fabric were fantastic too, it highlighted the differences in the fullness, drape, and silhouette. I’m actually going to modify the circle skirt pattern to make a royal cloak with a mantle, and this was really helpful in helping me decide how I wanted to draft the patterns. I really appreciate this video, and I’m going to use it as a teaching tool for my kids who are learning to sew.
Thank you for this! I started seeing your things months ago and now my Mother is going to make me go to a sewing school because of you! Thank you so much!

I sew a double circle skirt from your video and it came out great, and now i'm going to do a full circle skirt, can't wait to see the results. I love all of your videos, they're very simple.
I watched this video at least 3 times and I ended up just folding a lined paper in 4 folds and measured from the folded corner the radius of my little sister’s waist, folded my fabric in 4 folds, cut a 60x60cm square and traced the piece of paper on the folded corner and again, measured the length of the skirt from the corner 🤣. This was wayyy too complicated to me. The method I used gave me a perfect full circle skirt . (my little sister’s measurements is 52x50 but I do 60Wx50L to be safe) she’s turning 3 years old in 16 days 🥰
Thank you, that was great and you made it seem simple and easy to understand. Do you have any videos on the sewing process of the circle skirt? Thank you

@@lennonbabicz968 yeah you can do it! I'm actually making a chiaki jacket right now but I'm still finding the right color of fabric and material :"] 🤞good luck!
I was wracking my brain for a while trying to work it out until I finally ran a test on paper. Basically the reason for multiplying is because the pattern being traced is on a single piece of paper/fabric (as opposed to a larger piece folded in half or in fourths) squared off at the corner. If you calculate just the radius without multiplying, you only have "a quarter of the pie" and would end up with a very tiny circumference, hence multiplying accordingly to wind up with all pieces of the pie and the full and proper circle.

Please use a contrasting color fabric. The white table and the white fabric are too difficult to see with my old eyes. Fantastic tutorial! You are very good at explaining the steps
I hope my question isn't stupid. I'm quite new to sewing. I was wondering how to draw the pattern if I want to attach a flat (no elastic) waistband? Logic tells me to use the same pattern and from the first radius, measure down the desired width of the waistband. Double the width to allow for folding over. The skirt length would be reduced by the width of the waistband. Am I on the right track (or even making sense, lol)?
Thank you! Yes you may add a zipper and add sewing allowances. Better to watch the updated video of this tutorial. There you will see how to put a seam on the skirt
