    I just need you to know that I've watched a TON of these tutorials and yours is by far the most comprehensive and thorough explanation for how to do this. I can easily follow your instructions as a complete beginner whose only ever sewn a pillow. Thank you for the time you out into this video.

    I haven't sewn a stitch since 1998, and I've completely forgotten how to measure and sew like how I used to. But your detailed instructions and clear step-by-step explanations have made it all come back to me. I get it now! I wish you also have videos on more designs like blouses, big sleeves, and different designs of Nigerian Aso Ebi party outfits. Thank you

    I was actually looking for an Edwardian walking skirt when I stumbled on your video. It could have been a how to for how to video instructional videos, your voice was calm and you spoke clearly, you showed the instructions in writing as well as talked us through them, your camera work was appropriately lit and the field of vision was unobstructed.
    The miniature manakin was a great idea especially where material is expensive and made understanding where to take measurements and how the final garment would look and excellent teaching aid. Well done from an old trainer

    Thank you so much for this video! I need to custom make a dress for myself, and I usually need a pattern. But with your instruction, hopefully I can create a unique dress that I can be proud of.

      You are welcome.
      A good starting point for creating your own sewing patterns is drafting your block using your own body measurements. I have a Pattern Drafting Manual that could help you to do this. Here is the link to get it:

      This is a nice pattern but i don't understand if waist is size 40 how you calculate

    • @PatternAcademyByCharnold
      @PatternAcademyByCharnold  2 года назад

      @@constancemoses7641 you will use the same method but use your own waist measurement instead. For example, for the 180 degree skirt, you will divide your waist measurement by 3.14.

    Great tutorial, you are so clear and your voice is so calm that helps me to really follow your video. Just a question, what I have to do to get the measure to cut the fabric if I'm using cm instead of inces??

    • @ATEEZownmysoul
      @ATEEZownmysoul 3 года назад

      Basically the same calculations. You just have to use centimeters to take your measurements for the waist and length of the skirt.
