Dirt is a huge AAA developped in 3 years. WRC is a licenced AA game developped in less than 1 years. (licensed mean limited by the FIA for some things like car destruction for exemple) + comparing a freshly released game with an already installed, well patched game released in some years. I like them both but you should take that in count
@@_Zerth0 The WRC series can be compared to FIFA in the sense that they are putting out a product that is not a big leap over the previous iteration; they haven't had time to make the necessary improvements. There was a nearly three years between Dirt Rally and it's sequel.

Meaning each year they have to rebuild the game for each platform, fix bugs for every platforms, do the promotion, make several builds (like the estival demo on steam) ect ect. That is a lot of side work that cost months of development every years. So you can't cxompare it with a single game devleopped in 3 years. That is the main reason why new games tends to be based about DLC (less work doing content than a whole new game)

For me the only winning category of WRC is dirt/dust textures and maybe some environmental graphical fidelity. Dirt Rally 2.0 set the bar so high WRC has a lot to beat. Not bad for a 2 year old game.
Dirty Rally is a joke, when it comes to the Stages. 2 stages per Country. Backwards, forwards. And cut in 3 pieces. Forwards and backwards. And additionally: The. Super-Hyper-Whatever-Edition. The content is a joke. But in every other aspect: I think you're absolutely right. Conclusion: We still prefer Richard Burns Rally. :D

That's because DR2.0 went the authentic way, recreating stages/roads as they are in the world. WRC10 on the other hand takes reference images/footage to get the aesthetics and flow more or less and then create stages that are a combination of actual and fictitious/fake roads. I do like the stage layouts in WRC and would love to be able to drive similar ones in DR2.0 or future DR titles.
Based on what are compared here, it seems like aside from dirt/mud effect, the rest is obvious Dirty Rally wins. The fact that Dirt did dirt effect worse than competitor is ironic really. :D
I'm not entirely sure if its worse. I can imagine that Dirt goes a more realistic way, while WRC maybe just applies very early much dust/dirt on the car. I wonder if the shown results are really the absolute maximum of dust/dirt a car can have or if it was just a stage driven.
i own WRC 9 and Dirt rally 2.0. And the stages of WRC 9 are really really cool. Especially Japan and Kenya. Tarmac, stage design, career mode are far better in WRC 9/10, but the rest is Dirt rally 2.0 yeah.
Just because there is more dirt on the car doesn't make it more realistic. WRC 10 seems to just put dirt everywhere which isn't realistic. DIRT Rally 2.0 may have low amount of dirt but we don't know the length of time driven.
Not all dirt is equal, there's good dirt and bad dirt... and the dirt in Dirt Rally 2 feels less dirt than the competition, which is not Dirt but good dirt it sure has!

From what i saw here WRC looks and sounds like a sunday drive. Dirt Rally 2 gets the adrenaline pumping! Plus VR compatibility on dr2 makes games so much better! Every racing game needs VR comptibility

Let's not forget the main killer feature DR2.0 has, it supports VR. It boggles my mind that a brand new sim racing game can be released in 2021 without VR support! Once you play any sim racing games in VR, it's nearly impossible to go back.

I tried WRC 9, WRC 10 and Dirt Rally 2 one after the other today just to see the difference and in WRC 9 and Dirt Rally 2 the cars are a lot more grippy on loose surfaces. As you say you can be a lot more expressive when sliding the cars in WRC 10. It feels right and very convincing. Wish it had the stages from WRC 9 in it though.

Dirt Rally 2.0 is such a great rally experience for me and because of how good it is I don't need another rally game in my library. Dirt Rally 2.0 is all I need. Great job on the video.
Dirt is about style and emotion. WRC is an immersive experience with a heavy focus on the physics, hence the lackluster visuals. They’re two fundamentally different things, and if you’re into cars in any way, WRC is a must. The fun bit here is that I don’t care about cars at all and never have. I just like a good game with deep and immersive mechanics, and on that front, nothing beats WRC.

Dirt Rally 2.0 is love for me. Best rally game ever. It is so hard to accept the fact that an official licensed rally game is lagging so much behind when it comes to design and fun.
I bought wrc10 and asked for my money back after 2 days! Dirt rally is better in every single way! I can’t master it and that is what makes me keep coming back for more!!

I wish Richard Burns Rally would make a come back - the physics in that game were phenomenal to say the least. My favorite tacks were the rainy ones, because every time I woud pass through a puddle, it was the most realistic feedback I´ve seen in a video game.
Can't wait for the WRC's license to come to Codemasters. I really hope they do something good with the classics too. I would love to have an Anniversary mode in Dirt Rally, not just McRae's career
As someone with 50+ hours in WRC9/10 and Dirt Rally 1/2, I can safely say that WRC comes out on top. Its stage design and tarmac physics are just so much better. Never really got the hate on its graphics either, I think they look great.
I'm worried honestly. I LOVE Codies, but having two different options for Rally games is nice. Hopefully they take the campaign mechanics and interesting course design. But like... Monopoly+yearly releases+EA+FIA = probably won't be as good as DiRT has been.
@@mobilechikane8574 as someone with 50+hours on each and every wrc game from ps2 era until wrc9 and over 1000+ hours on dirt rally 1 & 2 I really don't understand where and how the modern wrc games beat dirt rally in any way shape or form, especially the tarmac physics! On wrc you can set the car up an 2 completely different ends of the scale and it still feels basically the same, 1 little change on dirt rally and the car feels completely different! Since dirt rally 2.0 came out iv tried going back to wrc9, that lasted all of an hour before I reverted back to dirt rally due to how awful it is..... imo they should have remastered the ps2 era wrc 4 and wrc rally evolved games, they're so much fun even to this day!

I would take WRC 10 Over Dirt 2.0 any day of the week. It just has so much more to offer. I have both games and have put about 15 hours on WRC 10 at this point. Official stages, drivers and cars of the WRC 2021 season. Graphics are stunning, gameplay is spot on. The improvements this year with the expressive co-driver, new physics, improved graphics, new tire model (tires play a much more important role). The career mode if that's your thing, (I mostly play seasons and online). Livery editor, online clubs daily/weekly challenges official esports series. I mean if you could only have one it would have to be WRC unless none of that stuff matters to you, or you must have VR support. Interesting comparison video though. Buy em both people, and you will enjoy them both as they offer different experience. See which one you want to play more... my bet is you will turn on the WRC 10 more often ;)
good things about wrc 10: official stages,tarmac physics and livery editor+ they also removed the unrealistic finnish stages that they had for 5 games. bad: graphics are ps3 era, has horrible sound engine,interior cams are laughable,imo cars have less detail than in wrc 8,cars still look like they float on roads.

In WRC 7 it was a random generator while driving which decided if you get a flat tire or not lol At least we have tire wear^^ I wonder if Dirt has tire wear too? I believe not?
Dirt Rally 2.0 is by far the best experience. The environment feel and feedback is very real. While Driving in DR2 it feel real driving behind steering wheel.
Sound: codies Graphics: codies Track design: KT games Career Mode: KT games Physics: Codies Steering: a little bit more codies (Controller) Damage: even cobra 11 games had a better damage model than wrc 10! Overall i have to say: i love the track design and career mode so much in wrc 10. after yesrs i have enough from dirt rally 2.0. wrc 10 is my new fav. Rally game. Just my opinion.

But the thing is, comparing stages between the games isn't fair. One has faithfully recreated IRL stages. (Portions of.) The other has fictitious stages. ( They'd better be interesting or why bother?) Apples and oranges. It's fine to say you prefer one over the other, but they are not comparable. Secondly, sure the career mode in DR2.0 sucks, lots of players just don't care. They want to drive not manage a team. Show me an IRL driver that does all that, they just drive. Besides codies has a decent career system, it's in F1. Slap a WRC skin on it more or less, and done. KT Charging Triple A prices for a single A game, with a license that bumps it to double A. The one year dev time argument is BS, they've been interating on this since WRC 5.
I'm playing the first Dirt game rn and I noticed how much worse the damage model has gotten since. The most annoying thing is that the windows never break, they deform and bend with the body like they're made of metal...

im glad you added the "destroying the car" part, since its what its gonna be when im drinving. i suck at rally games, but its cool. just one minor annoying thing.. at the engine sound comparison while drinving in the subaru, you were kinda not full throttle in wrc while at DR you had a heavier feet. even tho its clear that DR wins by long this annoyed me a bit and resulted in clear audio difference. Codemasters Dirt Rally team is passionate about rally driving! They love it! Dirt Rally 2 is made by rally fans! That is why so much attention to details! On other hand - WRC low poly car models speak by themselves!
My last WRC game was 5. Sucked so bad I haven’t touched one since. Won’t be rushing to get this one either. Dirt Rally 2, on the other hand, is basically brilliant in all categories.
To be fair they were all terrible up until 8. 8 and 9 are both very good, 9 especially! For the price you can probably pick it up for nowadays I would definitely recommend it
Graphics are a big thing, but gameplay is extremely important to me. I’ve played plenty of both & keep coming back to WRC because the stages are better and I prefer the handling model as well. Both are great games.
they are never too spectacular despite the years that pass, both wrc and ditry, I hope that sooner or later they arrive at a credible level, of physics, damage, settings
Kudos to WRC getting close to dirt rally. But honestly I don't have any complain on dirt rally 2 driving experience, but if they want to add more track would be nice. My suggestions to WRC they still need to add more rough feeling when rallying.
I used to think Dirt Rally 2.0 was the best Rally game, even not playing WRC. But now, WRC 10 as a free PlayStation Premium game, I gave it a try and man, now it's for ME the best Rally game out there.
WRC seems to get worse and worse every year, the cars don't feel connected to the road and feel extremely floaty, I thought things would be different with 10 after the feedback they have been getting, but I think I am done with WRC and sticking to Dirty Rally from here on out.
Mixed bag here and there but DR2 still does more things better. It's also interesting that in some stages, e.g during the idle sound test, the color palette of DR2 looks very gamery when compared to WRC10 which seems more real and natural to me, whereas in others, such as during rain stages, it's the opposite!
Great comparison video. Wasted my money on WRC8 and this shows WRC10 hasn’t got much better, oh they may say much has improved since WRC8 but why not get it right in the first place. You had enough years under your belt.
Dirt's biggest flaw is the lack of grip on tarmac. Everything else...can be argued, one can say WRC stages are more fun but Dirt's more realistic...but there's no contest with the tarmac thing. Also, it's just a matter of looking at them side by side and having eyes to notice Dirt cars have a lot more polys.
Putting these two side by side like this really shows that DR2 is on a whole 'nother level. Physics aside, the immersion given from the graphics and sounds is hands down the best in Dirt Rally 2. Of course, we don't need the best looks or sounds to have the best rally experience, but that's what RBR is for. So, for me, WRC10 has no appeal to purchase at full price, and rally is my main squeeze.
I love WRC from the bottom of my heart. The stage is more interesting than DR2. However, watching this comparison video, I have to say that the WRC is completely defeated in terms of sound and graphics.
Dirt rally 2.0 is the superior rally game. However, wrc 10 has come ALONG way over the last few years and is almost in a position to truly challenge the rally franchise. It reminds me of fifa vs pes
Only downside is the tarmac physics on dirt rally 2.0. It’s just gravel with turned up friction which makes the car have a slight slippery feeling when it should have much more static friction keeping the car straight.
Come on WRC developers, you know exactly what to contend to.... Noope! Invisible cars, bushes and a screwed up sound and damage model should be fine :D
I played DiRT Rally 2.0 for about a month now, and love it. Although I wish the damage model was more realistic. I bought WRC 10 yesterday because I saw it on for half price. What a waste of $40. Terrible graphics and no steering linearity in the options!!! The cars are so twitchy they are undrivable on controller. Literally can’t do it no matter how much I play with the other settings. A game ruined simply because of no steering linearity option / slider like in DiRT Rally 2.0. What the hell were they thinking!??
WRC is the worst Rally game series ever I played 8 one and it horrible like you say horrible steering boring events and no steering line to help you control the car Nacon SA don't know how to make a good rally game unfortunately.
WRC for stages/modes, car selection and physics. DR for overall graphical quality and sound design. Codies choked out the competition by purchasing the WRC license effective 2023 i believe, so WRC 11 will be the last non-Codies rally title for a long time. Hopefully THEY learn from KT's great work in stage design and creating an immersive WRC experience that has lots of content for the nostalgists.
WRC 10 audio is crap in general, Dirt: Rally audio is cool, but not realistic at all - just compare it with real onboard videos, almost all the cars sound really different in reality. RBR FMOD is maybe not that cool and complex, but the actual audio of each specific car is much closer to the real thing.

The main reason to get World rallycross 10 is because the Celica, Impreza, and Mitsubishi Evolution are in it, not to mention many rally legends that people actually want to drive like the Audi Quattro and the Lancia Delta, rally 2.0 barely has a decent selection of rally cars, even the new Toyota Yaris is in World rallycross 10 along with the Hyundai

I'm a bit worried of EA though :( They bought codemasters :/ And the biggest problem of EA is, that they rush games. They dont give the devs time. It did already hurt many NFS Games.

I think the wrc gameplay is better and stages, besides walles and Sweden. Dirt Sweden and walles are just to awesome and Real. Take the sound and graphics to wrc or vice verse and we have the best rally game ever.
Every car feels like you're driving on ice with RWD matter the tires, transmission settings, road surface, weather. When you accelerate hard and barely turn you can see the cars snap into a drift mechanic. WRC is hilariously bad for a sim in 2021.

The one thing that makes WRC a better game are the driving physics. The physics trump everything, and that’s why WRC is better. And this is coming from someone who played dirt rally 1 and 2 and thought they were the best rally games out there.
From my experience, if ur a true rally nerd and u love the sport, get them both. They are different and are fun to switch between. They both have there pros and cons. If ur really looking for an in depth career mode get wrc. If ur looking for less depth and just bunch of cars and fun, get dirt
In another youtube review I've seen that WRC10 is more realistic in some aspects, and graphically it has some better stuff. But I will still love DR2.0 forever.
Wrc is an official arcadish game while the dirt rally 2 is simulation from handling to graphics to setups anything you change appear on track. And of course the 60fps make a huge difference

Let's not forget the main killer feature DR2.0 has, it supports VR. It boggles my mind that a brand new sim racing game can be released in 2021 without VR support!
Once you play any sim racing games in VR, it's nearly impossible to go back.
Both are in my collection. 2.0 for the hardcore feel and gameplay. WRC 10 serves as what Dirt 5 should have been or what I wished it was.
The physics in WRC 10 are more realistic than Dirt Rally 2's though. The cars in Dirt Rally 2 dont power slide once youre past second gear.

I agree.. I’m talking the overall vibe of the game. Seems to take itself a little less serious than Dirt 2.0. WRC’s sliding physics leave more room for expression while driving. I’m really enjoying WRC 10, despite it’s minor flaws.

Yeah, totally agree. I tried WRC 9, WRC 10 and Dirt Rally 2 one after the other today just to see the difference and in WRC 9 and Dirt Rally 2 the cars are a lot more grippy on loose surfaces. As you say you can be a lot more expressive when sliding the cars in WRC 10. It feels right and very convincing. Wish it had the stages from WRC 9 in it though.

WRC is an immersive experience with a heavy focus on the physics, hence the lackluster visuals.
They’re two fundamentally different things, and if you’re into cars in any way, WRC is a must.
The fun bit here is that I don’t care about cars at all and never have.
I just like a good game with deep and immersive mechanics, and on that front, nothing beats WRC.

Dirt Rally 2.0 is love for me. Best rally game ever. It is so hard to accept the fact that an official licensed rally game is lagging so much behind when it comes to design and fun.
I bought wrc10 and asked for my money back after 2 days! Dirt rally is better in every single way! I can’t master it and that is what makes me keep coming back for more!!

I wish Richard Burns Rally would make a come back - the physics in that game were phenomenal to say the least. My favorite tacks were the rainy ones, because every time I woud pass through a puddle, it was the most realistic feedback I´ve seen in a video game.

As someone with 50+ hours in WRC9/10 and Dirt Rally 1/2, I can safely say that WRC comes out on top. Its stage design and tarmac physics are just so much better. Never really got the hate on its graphics either, I think they look great.

@@mobilechikane8574 as someone with 50+hours on each and every wrc game from ps2 era until wrc9 and over 1000+ hours on dirt rally 1 & 2 I really don't understand where and how the modern wrc games beat dirt rally in any way shape or form, especially the tarmac physics! On wrc you can set the car up an 2 completely different ends of the scale and it still feels basically the same, 1 little change on dirt rally and the car feels completely different! Since dirt rally 2.0 came out iv tried going back to wrc9, that lasted all of an hour before I reverted back to dirt rally due to how awful it is..... imo they should have remastered the ps2 era wrc 4 and wrc rally evolved games, they're so much fun even to this day!

I would take WRC 10 Over Dirt 2.0 any day of the week. It just has so much more to offer. I have both games and have put about 15 hours on WRC 10 at this point. Official stages, drivers and cars of the WRC 2021 season. Graphics are stunning, gameplay is spot on. The improvements this year with the expressive co-driver, new physics, improved graphics, new tire model (tires play a much more important role). The career mode if that's your thing, (I mostly play seasons and online). Livery editor, online clubs daily/weekly challenges official esports series. I mean if you could only have one it would have to be WRC unless none of that stuff matters to you, or you must have VR support. Interesting comparison video though. Buy em both people, and you will enjoy them both as they offer different experience. See which one you want to play more... my bet is you will turn on the WRC 10 more often ;)

good things about wrc 10: official stages,tarmac physics and livery editor+ they also removed the unrealistic finnish stages that they had for 5 games. bad: graphics are ps3 era, has horrible sound engine,interior cams are laughable,imo cars have less detail than in wrc 8,cars still look like they float on roads.

Dirt Rally 2.0 is by far the best experience. The environment feel and feedback is very real. While Driving in DR2 it feel real driving behind steering wheel.

Damage: even cobra 11 games had a better damage model than wrc 10!
Overall i have to say: i love the track design and career mode so much in wrc 10. after yesrs i have enough from dirt rally 2.0. wrc 10 is my new fav. Rally game. Just my opinion.

But the thing is, comparing stages between the games isn't fair. One has faithfully recreated IRL stages. (Portions of.) The other has fictitious stages. ( They'd better be interesting or why bother?) Apples and oranges. It's fine to say you prefer one over the other, but they are not comparable. Secondly, sure the career mode in DR2.0 sucks, lots of players just don't care. They want to drive not manage a team. Show me an IRL driver that does all that, they just drive. Besides codies has a decent career system, it's in F1. Slap a WRC skin on it more or less, and done. KT Charging Triple A prices for a single A game, with a license that bumps it to double A. The one year dev time argument is BS, they've been interating on this since WRC 5.
I'm playing the first Dirt game rn and I noticed how much worse the damage model has gotten since. The most annoying thing is that the windows never break, they deform and bend with the body like they're made of metal...

DR2.0 environment just seems so much more lively. WRC 10 environment looks so flat compared to it even though it has more variety.
im glad you added the "destroying the car" part, since its what its gonna be when im drinving. i suck at rally games, but its cool.
just one minor annoying thing.. at the engine sound comparison while drinving in the subaru, you were kinda not full throttle in wrc while at DR you had a heavier feet. even tho its clear that DR wins by long this annoyed me a bit and resulted in clear audio difference.

Codemasters Dirt Rally team is passionate about rally driving! They love it! Dirt Rally 2 is made by rally fans! That is why so much attention to details! On other hand - WRC low poly car models speak by themselves!
My last WRC game was 5. Sucked so bad I haven’t touched one since. Won’t be rushing to get this one either. Dirt Rally 2, on the other hand, is basically brilliant in all categories.
To be fair they were all terrible up until 8. 8 and 9 are both very good, 9 especially! For the price you can probably pick it up for nowadays I would definitely recommend it
Graphics are a big thing, but gameplay is extremely important to me. I’ve played plenty of both & keep coming back to WRC because the stages are better and I prefer the handling model as well. Both are great games.

It's like WRC aren't even trying with the sound design all these years.
There has definitely been an improvement since no. 8, but the problem is they're competing with one of the best sound departments in the business.
Kudos to WRC getting close to dirt rally. But honestly I don't have any complain on dirt rally 2 driving experience, but if they want to add more track would be nice. My suggestions to WRC they still need to add more rough feeling when rallying.
I used to think Dirt Rally 2.0 was the best Rally game, even not playing WRC. But now, WRC 10 as a free PlayStation Premium game, I gave it a try and man, now it's for ME the best Rally game out there.
and i`m just sitting here having an absolute blast in WRC 10 career mode :-)

WRC seems to get worse and worse every year, the cars don't feel connected to the road and feel extremely floaty, I thought things would be different with 10 after the feedback they have been getting, but I think I am done with WRC and sticking to Dirty Rally from here on out.

Mixed bag here and there but DR2 still does more things better.
It's also interesting that in some stages, e.g during the idle sound test, the color palette of DR2 looks very gamery when compared to WRC10 which seems more real and natural to me, whereas in others, such as during rain stages, it's the opposite!

Great comparison video. Wasted my money on WRC8 and this shows WRC10 hasn’t got much better, oh they may say much has improved since WRC8 but why not get it right in the first place. You had enough years under your belt.

Dirt's biggest flaw is the lack of grip on tarmac. Everything else...can be argued, one can say WRC stages are more fun but Dirt's more realistic...but there's no contest with the tarmac thing.
Also, it's just a matter of looking at them side by side and having eyes to notice Dirt cars have a lot more polys.
Tarmac was better in Dirt 4 than Dirt Rally 2.0.

Putting these two side by side like this really shows that DR2 is on a whole 'nother level. Physics aside, the immersion given from the graphics and sounds is hands down the best in Dirt Rally 2. Of course, we don't need the best looks or sounds to have the best rally experience, but that's what RBR is for. So, for me, WRC10 has no appeal to purchase at full price, and rally is my main squeeze.
I love WRC from the bottom of my heart. The stage is more interesting than DR2.
However, watching this comparison video, I have to say that the WRC is completely defeated in terms of sound and graphics.

Dirt rally 2.0 is the superior rally game. However, wrc 10 has come ALONG way over the last few years and is almost in a position to truly challenge the rally franchise.

Only downside is the tarmac physics on dirt rally 2.0. It’s just gravel with turned up friction which makes the car have a slight slippery feeling when it should have much more static friction keeping the car straight.

I played DiRT Rally 2.0 for about a month now, and love it. Although I wish the damage model was more realistic.
I bought WRC 10 yesterday because I saw it on for half price. What a waste of $40. Terrible graphics and no steering linearity in the options!!! The cars are so twitchy they are undrivable on controller. Literally can’t do it no matter how much I play with the other settings. A game ruined simply because of no steering linearity option / slider like in DiRT Rally 2.0. What the hell were they thinking!??
Interesting. I bought booth games too. I think Dirt Rally 2.0 is more twitchy. Sometime the cars jump around more the track gets.
WRC is the worst Rally game series ever I played 8 one and it horrible like you say horrible steering boring events and no steering line to help you control the car Nacon SA don't know how to make a good rally game unfortunately.
Non of car game can compair with Dirt Rally 2.0..it is really impressive
WRC for stages/modes, car selection and physics. DR for overall graphical quality and sound design. Codies choked out the competition by purchasing the WRC license effective 2023 i believe, so WRC 11 will be the last non-Codies rally title for a long time. Hopefully THEY learn from KT's great work in stage design and creating an immersive WRC experience that has lots of content for the nostalgists.

WRC 10 audio is crap in general, Dirt: Rally audio is cool, but not realistic at all - just compare it with real onboard videos, almost all the cars sound really different in reality.
RBR FMOD is maybe not that cool and complex, but the actual audio of each specific car is much closer to the real thing.
Funny that the developers of WRC 10 used real samples in the trailer and not the game sounds.

Agreed! If you ever drive a car, fire a gun or have similar loud mechanical sounds, The audio really makes or breaks it for me.
The main reason to get World rallycross 10 is because the Celica, Impreza, and Mitsubishi Evolution are in it, not to mention many rally legends that people actually want to drive like the Audi Quattro and the Lancia Delta, rally 2.0 barely has a decent selection of rally cars, even the new Toyota Yaris is in World rallycross 10 along with the Hyundai
WRC series was always behind its time.
It sort of seems to me that more effort was put into Dirt Rally 2.0. Almost every aspect shown here is done much better in DR2.0; like real care was taken.
I know Codemasters are taking over the WRC series in a few years, but I really hope we get a Dirt Rally 3.0, or a Dirt Rally 2.5 before then. I love how love of rallying - from it's past to its present - seeps from every pore of Codemasters' efforts.

my god the car model on WRC 10 is so poor for a 2021 racing game, but i give a thumbs up for the car sound finaly eventho change gear sound is still realy bad. and for WRC Physic many reviewer say its no diferent from previous 2 game, its great but still no new thing on it. I guess the money from Sony and Epic Games exclusivity deals is not enough for them to improve the game

I think the wrc gameplay is better and stages, besides walles and Sweden. Dirt Sweden and walles are just to awesome and Real. Take the sound and graphics to wrc or vice verse and we have the best rally game ever.
Every car feels like you're driving on ice with RWD matter the tires, transmission settings, road surface, weather. When you accelerate hard and barely turn you can see the cars snap into a drift mechanic. WRC is hilariously bad for a sim in 2021.

For being an official game they definitely need a ton of work, crap something out to meet deadlines and that's exactly what you get.
The one thing that makes WRC a better game are the driving physics. The physics trump everything, and that’s why WRC is better. And this is coming from someone who played dirt rally 1 and 2 and thought they were the best rally games out there.
From my experience, if ur a true rally nerd and u love the sport, get them both. They are different and are fun to switch between. They both have there pros and cons. If ur really looking for an in depth career mode get wrc. If ur looking for less depth and just bunch of cars and fun, get dirt
