30 Min SHOULDER WORKOUT at Home with Resistance Band

Wanting to add definition and shape to your shoulders? Grab your band and lets work each part of the shoulders!
All you will need for this resistance band shoulder workout is a mat and a long band.
The exercises are performed for 40 seconds each with 20 seconds rest and we will perform 3 sets of each exercise. The exercises are as follows:
PRESS IN AND OUT
HOLD OPP PRESS (switch at 20 secs)
PRESS PALMS FACING
ARNOLD PRESS
FRONTAL RAISE (all same side)
FRONTAL RAISE (opposite side)
UPRIGHT ROW
REAR DELT FLY
LATERAL RAISES (switch at 20 secs)
For a finisher, just to make sure we have completely exhausted the muscles! 😉
40 seconds FRONTAL RAISES
40 seconds LATERAL RAISES (switch at 20 seconds)
Please use the 20 seconds in between to manoeuvre your band to suitable resistance so that you can reach full range of movement.
Take your time and control the eccentric move when lowering. Your core should be braced throughout.

Full length, follow-along upper body band workouts are so rare on RUclips. This was so perfectly edited, with the timer and the music. And your physical cues (in between the sets) made it easier to understand what's coming next.

Hi Caroline...I’ll do this tomorrow. I have just done yesterday’s glute routine which was good...good to do glute not least as my upper arms and chest were sore(in a good way) from doing so many press ups yesterday. Looking forward to your 1 hr workouts next week. I have already blocked an hour in my diary each day to do them. Have a lovely weekend...I believe you can now go shopping again in NI if you so wish. So I did these with you working out those shoulders and every time you were feeling the burn I was feeling the burn every time you was giving up I wanted you to keep going every time I try to give up I Look to You for me to keep going and I hate you and I love you at the same time lol these were super effective I just subscribed to your Channel and you're just as fit as I am muscle wise.

Probably one of my favorite shoulder exercises with bands is a rear delt fly-the constant/increasing tension from the bands makes the exercise killerrr and always helps me active the delt better than with machines/dbs. Great video-keep the content coming!

🙈I couldn’t sit on my heels at the beginning - pain in big toe, knees and hips :) I had to do it on my knees :) I am not flexible enough 😅

Really great workout! I'm a bit limited for equipment at home but do have a variety of bands - I asked you about more band focussed workouts and you delivered! Thank you!!! Maybe a couple of stretch sessions would be good, 15 mins, 30 mins, 45 mins, to suit the time people may have available!? So glad I found you and your channel, such effective workouts and so much variation! I follow on RUclips more but have started to check in on Instagram in case I miss anything!! 😝

I only have mini bands. I’ll have to invest in some longer bands. My favorite fitness channels have been uploading workouts with long bands

Help Lyrian! Thanks for commenting! Sometimes you can have slightly more muscle in one arm than other if you tend to use one more often! When workout maybe try some single arm work, start with the weaker arm and make sure you do same reps for stronger arm. Also when doing push or pull movements, such as rows or chest press, try to aim for symmetrical movements! Cx

Hello Karla! Yes absolutely! I have a general warm up video in my playlists but of course when doing an specific body part I recommend spending alittle more time on that area warm up the joints and gentle stretches such as circles of arms, triceps stretch! Cx

Great work out, but too long on the knees.
Hello Dianne! So happy you liked this workout! This is the only shoulder workout sitting on the knees I’ve done as it suited the length of the band but you can stand of course for many of the movements as long as you can full range and not feeling strain in lower back! 💓
Please tell the viewers how to do the exercise before the actual timer starts, and please also show us the proper positioning of the feet. I know you're strong and I also know you want us to be strong, but please teach us the appropriate execution of exercises. I appreciate your video, and this is my critique as I want you to improve.
