That’s what I was thinking. If the switch that’s getting older and having joycon issues, wouldn’t it be the secondary since it’ll rarely leave home? I’m currently debating on getting a second switch or downgrading to the Lite, I currently have v2 switch that I got a few years ago and I’ve been having issues with the right joycon disconnecting when playing handheld. I don’t mind playing on dock but after a while it gets tiring to be sitting on the edge of my bed or on a chair after a while, then I switch to handheld and then have to shortly switch to tabletop while laying down since handheld is difficult with the weight and right joycon. I got the Lite and V1 switch. Still mostly play the old switch, except when I’m out. Offhand, I think my Lite is the main switch for download games, as my main switch rarely if ever leaves the house.
Yeah, multiple Switches is a mess. Nintendo does not want you to own multiple consoles, just like with the 3DS where you literally had to render a previous model useless if you wanted to have multiple (which is why I now own 3 models in the 3DS family that are modded). All of the rules about which system is the parent, who has to be online, and my favorite - if my daughter launches smash bros under my account instead of hers on HER switch lite - it now erases my record of 300+ hours with the game in my profile. Just so much stupid stuff like that to prove that Nintendo will never understand how to operate in the modern networked world. I picked up the Mario Red Switch, and since then have relegated my old/launch Switch (which has all the same issues you mentioned - Joy-Con that slips off the rails, crazy-loud fan, scratches from the dock...) to being a physical-game-only system. Basically it's had Bravely Default 2 in suspend mode for like 3 months, and eventually that'll be Link's Awakening, Astral Chain, Final Fantasy IX, etc. because then I don't have to worry about it being online, or which account is which. It's just frustrating, because this is something that has been solved on consoles for over a decade, and I know that Nintendo has the technology to do it properly, because I worked at the company who sold them the tools when they upgraded to the Nintendo Account system! Anyways. Good video. Rant over.

I have the Turqouise Lite and I like it a lot and plus I have a 64Gig SD card but fills up fast. I bought mine brand new and I have several games that was free to play and have games I purchased. Wolfenstein youngblood is good but lacks the sniper rifle and tbh you can upgrade the assault rifle to a sniper rifle with the right mods.
I have my v2 switch and I love it!! It does exactly what I need it too. One of the best tech purchases I have ever made! Excited to upgrade when the new switch comes out!

Good video pal honestly I'm not a big fan of the Nintendo account system, if you're a bit of an idiot like me and always forget your password or username from experience it seems much harder to reset Nintendo accounts then others. Do think I'll end up getting a new switch at some point but my current one is the gen 2 switch with the improved chip so no rush yet.
Ohh well guess I’m not buying an oled switch tomorrow. Wanted to get a second and but my outer games and newer games on it but if I have to check in on one of them every time I start a game f it. I’ll have totally different games on each no double playing. This sucks. Have a 256gb card and a 128 gb card I have to switch to play different games would have been nice to just grab my other system that had it in already.
I 'm honestly very confused. I have OLED for home (main) and LITE (travel). All my games are digital. But I have no idea how to sync them or do any of that. I have 100 games and a Nintendo subscription online for like 4 years. LOL. What am I missing?
My opinion I think the 1st generation switch is about to meet its end of its life cycle that's why the special edition Especially I was surprised the switch light came out with the blue purple game cute version I love it before the new Switch pro or switch pro to whatever's gonna call gonna be launching this year and then a year later will be the switch light next revision..

Can I just insert my cartridge of my game on the switch lite (which will become my secondary switch) and play my game as normal (same island, account, progress and everything) ? Or will it not allow me to play it on the switch lite ? If so what are the reasons for that ?
wow nobody helped you? The saves will remain on the primary switch. Looks like to transfer saves requires a subscription to nintendo online. Saves do not stay with the cartridge.

Does the playtime log get reset if your playing on the secondary switch console? Or does the playtime on each game carry over?
