Bro all the other videos out there are ridiculous. This is literally a minute and a half video and it was to the point and worked like a charm. Thank you.
Holla at the VIPER! OMG GORGEOUS in that SILVER! & Thank you SO much for posting one on just the lense replacement; not changing wiring, not replacing the whole mirror assembly, just the lense. Thank you thank you thank you. OH and YES... Sorry, whipe the drool off your VIPER for me, my bad... lets see a clip of that please!!!! or attach a link... please? pretty pretty please?... is that a Hennessey kit, or front bumper? (My Dream Car, & now that im divorced... maybe sooner than i thought... lol)
I did what you suggested to get the glass off my drivers side mirror. As noted by Miguel Rivera below, I had to pull very hard and had the same concerns about breaking the glass, but I did not. I was a tough pull, and because it comes off with you pulling so hard, I had the electrical connections disconnect from the back of the mirror. No damage, but it did concern me. I am having a devil of a time finding the right glass replacement part, as this glass is heated and auto dimming. Finding the heated online was fine, but nothing indicated if it has the auto dimming. I guess I'll just have to call one of these companies or go to the dealership. But I just want you to know your video was very helpful and I probably could not have done it without you. You were also direct and to the point, unlike alot of uTube videos.
Awesome video mane saved me so much time and possibly money 🤟🏽 I was able to get the driver side with the screwdriver method but could t get the passenger side without thinking I was gonna break the glass. Found ur video went to harbor freight bought the 5$ suction cup and it took no less then 10 min to pop it off and replace the new cap thnx again
Those little clips on the skull cap are almost impossible not to break when taking them off. I was replacing the blinker light. Dent pulled was a godsend!
This was very helpful however I didn’t see the part where you actually remove the cover and put the new one on. By chance do you have a video of that or can you explain what I’m supposed to do after the mirror is pulled out? Also, which male wire goes back to which female connector? Thanks.
Im trying so hard to pull it out i feel like im gonna break it. I just wish you grabbed someone to hold the camera for you while you show how much pressure should be applied to pull.
@@abdulrahmanalayyaf812 i honestly quit because the pulling was impossible lol. Had to cease amd took it to a auto glass shop. Took em 5 minutes to take it apart. $40
@@MikeyLaPeste I just got the passenger side done. Zack was right you gotta give it a few good tugs.... for any one wants to confirm even more visit this thread: 5thgenrams.com/community/threads/side-mirror-removal-to-replace-mirror-cap.1517/page-7
When you said the blue wire goes to the inside, did you mean toward the inside of the mirror (toward center), or toward the inside meaning closest to the truck?
I had a quick question are all 5th gen ram mirrors the same ? I have a 2019 ram 1500 sport new body style and I broke my driver side mirror and it needs to be replaced. I bought a driver side mirror off a 2020 ram 1500 sport it has the same features as my 2019 ram 1500 and the mirror comes with the 2 plugs so do you think it would fit my 2019 ram 1500
@@twmcmillan1 hey thomas i am trying to replace the turn signal as well. did you take the mirror off with screwdriver? then removed the cap to get to that signal?

Thank you. Short and simple is the best lol
Thank you very much, you were the only one of the dresses this sensibly with no bull crap. If there was a RUclips award you would get it for me.
Happy to help.
That’s a clean viper in the back😍
Lol thanks. Been my dream car since I was a kid.

Yea I got a few videos of it on the channel. It’s not a hennesey, had good vents on the stick hood and added a front lip splitter from AutoForum.

That’s great to hear, it works great and super cheap and fast to do.
This is awesome! Thank you!!!!
i cracked the blinker light on my 2020 mirror, this is the only video ive found that shows how to get the glass out
I’m glade it worked for you.

Happy to hear it worked good for you. Just did a buddy’s truck the other day with no issues.
I have to replace the blinker on drivers side. Has a crack. Is this to correct way to get to that blinker as well?
Great video man. I had to change the signal light on my passenger side mirror. The suction cup made the mirror come off no problem.
Happy it helped you out.
I had a rock hit my turn signal lens on my drivers side mirror and now there’s a hole. Is the lens/turn signal part of the mirror a separate piece?
@@hbuen33 yes it is

Yea it takes a good tug to get it off. Was home by myself or else I would have.
Did it work? Cause i feel like I’m gonna break something from how hard I’m pulling!

@@ZakDeckich yea I just need the Normal ones thanks for your help you relieved my stress I thought I wasted $500 appreciate you !
Looking at mirror from behind blue wire right pin, black left pin?
I believe so.
Does this way work for changing the turn signal also?
I never had to change the turn signals on the mirror but I don’t see why you couldn’t do it this way.
@@ZakDeckich thank you I'll give it a shot
@@twmcmillan1 Did you ever replace the turn signals? Theres some sequential turn signals I want but idk how they're installed.
I just did it the traditional way I used the screwdriver and pop the tabs off but the sequential turn signals didn't work even with the resistor

do u know where can i buy a new exact one? i have a 2021 4x2 ram big horn. I just got my left mirror stolen in a sizzler parking. fucking burglars.
A new mirror cap or the suction cup? Mirror caps I bought on eBay. And the suction cup I got at Harbor Freight
