Wilmor Lake in Eagle County, Colorado

I had a good time fishing at Wilmor Lake in Edwards, Colorado. I was with my friend, Will. He’s in his seventies and have lots of energy. We were on the road and he decide to pull into Wilmor Lake to do some fishing. There’s a broken down rusted truck in the parking lot missing a tire and sitting on two big pieces of wood. Something, you would see in a horror movie.
Wilmor is a small lake by the side of the road. It’s actually my first time. I get really excited when it’s my first experience with a new lake. I rigged up and cast out. Less than five minutes, I get a hit. We must have caught fifty fish in about an hour and a half. The action was plentiful. The trout averaged around twelve inches!!!
As I grow older, simple things can make me happy!!! I really don’t need something exotic to thrill me. A small lake with some fish in it, tend to be enough for me. Just spending time with an old friend and fishing takes me to my happy place!!! Let’s make the World a little bit better, one fish at a time!!! Keep on Fishing!!!
