Man Peter, I know i've thanked you before. But I really appreciate the wholesomeness of your videos. They really bring back my enjoyment for boating. we go out here in kelowna almost every weekend. end up tied to the same "friends" who party all night, get wasted, drugs and music till the wee hours. girls in bikinis falling on each other. its gets old really fast. Or it's just me. I hate going back to work Monday, feeling worse than I left on Friday.
Sitting here in Victoria Australia under Covid lockdown. Watching the world through two very relaxed people. Such a great way to see your local region. Stay safe and enjoy the fruits of life.
Wire a balloon with (a half alka seltzer tablet inside) to the top of your drone over water. wire it thru the opening rim. aside from diving its the only way to recover it.
In 1982 I had a summer job at the French Creek fish market (it was called Margetis Fish back then) I learned how to filet, clean, pack salmon & often Ling Cod and the occasional Red Snapper. I also drove the forklift, pumped gas, shovelled ice and sold fish to the public. One time the RCMP came in on their boat with about 10 huge bails of weed they had confiscated on Lasquiti Island. I felt sorry for the hippies -tending to their high quality crop all summer only to have it all ripped out by the cops. Learned alot that summer way back in `82, what a perfect way for a teenage kid to learn new skills while making a few bucks..
I have sincerely enjoyed this channel since I found it last year. I went back and binge watched everything. I love the carpentry, and repairs, but I must say... the cruising is perfect! Thank you for having a channel.
Pleasing video Ernest commentary Remote control camera Fantastic views Elegant and minimal wake Crosswind leaving unsuitable harbor Trouble free except when lumpy Put them all together and it spells.... Well you know.
I always assumed when I retired I’d return to the San Juan’s because in my mind,at least, that area is one of the most perfect places to live on this planet. You are one lucky guy to be where you are doing what you do. May the wind be always at your back and the road rise up to meet you.
PS. I, unfortunately, retired far away and far from the ocean, less than perfect and lots of Northwest nostalgia … but still, a good life, even if somewhat vicarious. Thanks for sharing
Was so awesome to see you coming out of pirate's Cove on our catilina 30' on Tuesday... We rented it based off of your vlog and I brought my son and nieces there based on your previous episode on this area (they loved raiding the treasure chest, but I should have supervised, rather than my father... As they took the pirate theme a little too literal and took more than they left 🤦). Thank you so much for your dedication, hard work and thoughtful videos. An inspiration and source of motivation. Thanks again.
Lady Z and Peter. Even though your crossing of the straight wasn’t exactly PERFECT. All three of you look so relaxed sitting on the rocks sippin whiskey. Travel safe.
I use a similar( just a cheap point it one way one) wifi security camera to keep an eye on my 4 cats when I am away for a couple of days, it tells me when the automatic feeders (they can hold 2 months worth of dry food) are operating, and I can see that the water fountains are also still functioning, which gives me peace of mind when I have to leave them to their own devices for a few days for work or holiday. This was a necessity once my daughter moved out and as i now live alone, the cat feeding etc was a necessity and this avoids relying on others to come in and feed them.
A big thanks for your recent posts. The haul out well demonstrated pioneering use of previously unseen materials and methods. The beauty from your recent travels is breath for a chorus of bravos. Suggestion: Viewers may enjoy video posts occasionally peppered with the differences between living on the water in a boat and on land in a house. I bid you fair wind, kind beer, and a dryish bilge.
Nice! Loved that opening shot with all the big logs on the beach. As an old “Beachcombers” fan, I was waiting for Nick Adonidas and Relic to start fighting over them. 😊
Amazing video, thanks! You really capture the beauty of your country👍 I have a question , are the folks from " onboard tangaroa " from the same region? Grts and please more content 😀
I'm always amazed by the scenery but also by all the names of the places you can see when you zoom in and out of the chart. You have everything, Malaspina (bad fish bone, but really means bad feeling, also a surname), Sevilla (city in the south of Spain), Hurtado (a surname that means taken without permission), or Lund (a city in the south of Sweden and the name of a type of landscape), Thulin (a Swedish surname)..... and the list goes on and on and reflects all the people that came to the area and their origin is my guess. wonderfull :) thanks for yet another great video :)
Scotch on the Rocks is awesome. But neat is perfect!
Every human needs a perfect Buddy / Friend ! Cheers

I see I'm not the only one who cuts their hair with a pocket knife.🤘😎
You've won the internet today with that one :-)

Nice! Loved that opening shot with all the big logs on the beach. As an old “Beachcombers” fan, I was waiting for Nick Adonidas and Relic to start fighting over them. 😊

Beautiful video...except for "It's the fall now" comment. :)
