Hi Peter, not to burst your bubble but nothing in the head is original. It had been badly remuddled by a previous owner when friends of ours bought the boat and they spent many years lovingly restoring it. If I remember correctly it had a small bathtub in it which was boxed out into the saloon. They also had the lovely bronze dashboard, which made a brief appearance in this video, custom cast. So great to see the boat so well cared for and out cruising.
Peter my partner’s dad use to always say ‘Bob’s your ankle’ not the term we use and for many years she never thought that expression strange at all! Great scenery and very relaxing. Thanks
I understand your decision to remove the video on the mobile router, however I did appreciate learning what the product actually does and how it's NOT a cell phone booster ! I for one am always interested in the "techy" stuff you add to the boat. Also ......... It was no fluke that I saw the video before you took it down. Cheers!
The word ‘Fluke’ brought to mind the novel by James Herbert. I must have read it at the end of the 1970’s and not thought about it since. Thanks for reminding me, I’m going to go and re-read it. Enjoy your travels. 🍺
"Catching a Frog" reminded me of my Word of the week: "A /ˈmɒndɪɡriːn/ is a mishearing or misinterpretation of a phrase in a way that gives it a new meaning"
What a fluke that you've sunk 2 drones. I think you need to invest in a floatation device for your next one!! Even just strap an empty water bottle to it! Great work Pete
Wow ! That was spectacular. I can only compare it to Scotland. So beautiful. It’s great to see you relaxing Peter. Compared to a few weeks ago, when you were slogging your guts out in the haul out. Sorry about your drone...... Again, and your Go pro Again. It was such a fluke. 👍
I was hoping to fluke out and connect somewhere up the coast, but that epic event will have to wait. In the meantime, thanks for another great episode!
Loved to see some cruising now that it seems like both boats are in good shape. I was thrilled when I saw you grab hold of the mast and step it in the dinghy. A little gurgle from the dinghy’s wake is such a pleasant way to while away an hour or two. All the work is starting to pay off.
Great scenery up there in the northern hemisphere Peter. Similar to our South Island fiords. Thanks for sharing. Cheers from NZ. PS I too have drowned 2 drones, once my fault the other was gremlins.
Great Video .. please a little more time on the chart plotter saying, when you are pinching it in and out from where to where you are going. My Very Best Vibes for the new drone. Maybe there was a ghost in that area, that didn´t liked to be on camera
yeah start another sailing tech channel for all the techy stuff! Nice to see you and Lady Z having fun. Good video for a cell phone you must have a good cell phone. I use a pixel 4a 5g. It was no fluke I use a Google Pixel 4a 5G
Though the word of the week has many meanings and uses it has given me a mighty hunger for my favorite sweet white piece of sushi... looks like the menu tomorrow will be fluke! Thank you for the inspiration (on your return from desolation), Peter.
Beautiful scenery with a touch of maintenance and even a mishap with the drone such is life. Through it all you seem well rested and in good spirits Peter.
If I may make a suggestion or two... For the opposite helm docking, a detachable 10" fisheye mirror hung to show the blind side would be helpful. As for the new faucets, they appear to be "Globe" valves. Regardless of globe or 1/4 turn cartridge's, I would suggest disassembling and coating everything with heat proof plumbers grease, especially the valve stems. At this point you can determine and procure what would be needed for repairs if and when necessary. I love and hate globe valves. They are almost infinitely serviceable with a bit of rubber, stem packing, plumbers grease and a seat reamer or field expedient. Sorry to hear about the drone and memory card.
Another great video, Peter! I am still living vicariously through you, here in the Desert in Texas. :( My boat has been on the hard since 2006, due to drought, so, I need to see some blue water, and you help me do that! It is no fluke that you love beer as much as I! My Sister still wants to know if you have ever seen Bigfoot in any of those beautiful coves you visit. :) Smooth sailing!
Its no fluke that if your snubber is long enough to get past the bow roller, you eliminate the clicking noise that the chain makes as the boat swings or moves in the wind!
It seems my efforts to comment on your content is always a fluke...one day I will learn how to navigate these pages on my phone...cheers enjoyed as always.
Such a beautiful area! I certainly can understand spending as much time as possible visiting those inlets. Thanks for sharing the views and time with us.
Thanks for all the great footage. Look forward to the updates each week and the loss or your cameras was a real fluke. I am keen to see what you replace them with. Jon
It was no fluke RUclips sent me here, so long ago. I've enjoyed every minute watching and donating a small (very) portion of my retirement too you. Wish it could be more, but it is what it is.
Shame for the lost tech - two items in a brief period. Doh! However that scenery is fantastic regardless of what its filmed on. My wife and I have discussed retiring to your area for the last 20 years, one day maybe. Have a lovely break!
Desolation Sound! What a great video! I have a brother who is working on moving from California to the Port Townsend area. We may have to start planning a cruise up that way...
Granted the added weight will reduce flight time. But you can get attachments for landing legs. Then put some floating foam on those. At least you’ll be able to reclaim the drone and Send it in for DJIs warranty/insurance program.
Seems like you could hot glue and zip tie a couple pieces of styrofoam to the drone for maritime operations to keep it from drowning. Should still be light enough to fly. And cheap insurance
I was so looking forward to some excellent new footage of Desolation Sound. Unfortunately i mentioned such and the fates decided it was not to be. Or twas but a fluke.
Just b4 tuning made a ham sandwich with apple cider with sum water. ( Stretch that cider out)tomato ,ham, romaine lettuce..I was gonna but saw mayo jar I cleaned to throw out said y not..I put my lettuce in jar with water ..shook drained shook lettuce again then drain out water left on leafs, worked pretty good..
It was a sure fluke you got that sink off without a mishap, well, maybe not. lol btw Peter if you have to use the phone its doesn't bother me at all ...just so you know.
Hi Peter. I really enjoy watching all of your boat improvement videos and your cruising videos. Each time you cruise from one point to another please tell us how far the journey is and how long it will take ( eg: 10 NM @ 6.5 knots = 1.5 hr.) Thanks. Sail on!
The word “fluke” is usually associated with a good outcome…perhaps a new drone/GoPro are just such outcomes!! BTW I meant to ask if you have considered using the What3words app for us armchair cruisers?
Interesting dinghy name ~ is there a meaning of Cartino? Don't feel too bad about the drone I lost an action cam on a canoe camp this week. I went under a tree branch and straight to the bottom and that was no fluke just bad luck wha wha. Oh BTW this is Graeme..changed my screen name.
Is it a fluke that you chose the word fluke? Now, I want to be back out of the water with all this nice weather we've been having. Good way to beat the heat.
somehow I doubt that spot is very deep...? after all it is your anchor-spot - so, you didn't retrieve the drone? - even if the drone is toast, the SD-card probably would still work after being dried a bit
Hi Peter, not to burst your bubble but nothing in the head is original. Finding your channel was a very nice fluke of the algorithms. I'm glad I'm here. Thank you.
Peter my partner’s dad use to always say ‘Bob’s your ankle’ not the term we use and for many years she never thought that expression strange at all! Great scenery and very relaxing. Thanks
What is not a "fluke" is the excellent content, keep it up Peter.
Wow that beer seemed like it would make my hair curl😂😂. Always a joy and no fluke watching your updates Peter, Thankyou👏👏

If I was anchored there I would never want to leave. That is one beautiful place.
Starlink internet coming soon for boats
The word ‘Fluke’ brought to mind the novel by James Herbert. I must have read it at the end of the 1970’s and not thought about it since. Thanks for reminding me, I’m going to go and re-read it. Enjoy your travels. 🍺
Nice seeing you and Lady Zeferus out enjoying yourselves after all the boat work !
"Catching a Frog" reminded me of my Word of the week:

I’m lumpy and nobody describes me as magical.
I managed to clear Canadian customs yesterday (sailing from the US). Currently at Van Isles. Headed for Desolation Sound. So glad to be back here.
Full wetsuit and scuba tanks on the wish list ??? 😁😂😁
Long elastic cord and/or pontoons on the next drone ???
Eric

“Prawns” for sale. Wow, I’m impressed.
Mobile phone cameras rocks in videos nowadays. Good mobile cameras are as good as any point and shoot cameras. Nice vid again.
Hey peter it’s no fluke that they do make drones that float hahaha
Fluke, one whale of a word of the week!
I was hoping to fluke out and connect somewhere up the coast, but that epic event will have to wait. In the meantime, thanks for another great episode!

Miss you guys !!!! Looks so fun and beautiful thanks for sharing .
Great video as always
See you guys soon
Marcus
Well that was a fluke . . . Great shots of Desolation Sound thank you.
It’s no fluke it was another great video, even with the technical difficulties
The meadows are a relief from the over bearing pines
Great scenery up there in the northern hemisphere Peter. Similar to our South Island fiords. Thanks for sharing. Cheers from NZ. PS I too have drowned 2 drones, once my fault the other was gremlins.
it is no fluke your videos are so entertaining
Don't be desolate! It's no fluke Travels With Geordie are the highlight of my week - Thanks Peter.

Zephyrs just chugs along plowing through the waves.
It would be a complete fluke for me to win a t shirt, because I’ve never entered the contest before. Here’s to hoping!! Cheers!
Beautiful scenery with a touch of maintenance and even a mishap with the drone such is life. Through it all you seem well rested and in good spirits Peter.
Gorgeous views!!! No Fluking!!!
Peter, Peter sailing man. Perfect zen!
Wat een toevalstreffer dat jullie beide thuis kunnen werken! En daardoor samen prachtige avonturen kunnen beleven!
Love the dinghy conversion!😁

It seems my efforts to comment on your content is always a fluke...one day I will learn how to navigate these pages on my phone...cheers enjoyed as always.
Hello Peter- Fluke is a company that makes electronic equipment (which I live next to). Fluke is a good company, but expensive. Cheers.
Such a beautiful area! I certainly can understand spending as much time as possible visiting those inlets. Thanks for sharing the views and time with us.
Peter. It was just a FLUCK, that I discovered your website. And have enjoyed it ever since. Thank you. Be safe
Thanks for all the great footage. Look forward to the updates each week and the loss or your cameras was a real fluke. I am keen to see what you replace them with. Jon
I had an uncle named Fluke.
Nice episode, sorry about your tech losses.
Thank you for the reminder, , I was heading your way some years ago on S/V San Felice and got sidetracked .time to get moving
It would be less than a fluke if we ran into you in that bay on Jedediah as it is one of our favourite spots.
Beautiful scenery again! Looks fantastic out there! Unfortunately, you lost the drone and GoPro! What a fluke! Hopefully that’s it for the misfortune!
Always anchor with your flukes down ..😉
what a beautiful part of the world, thanks for sharing
Beautiful trip. Nice boat as well. Even enjoyed the repair.
Great video Peter, maybe you use your Fluke multimeter to trouble shoot your go-pro.
Cheers 🍺
Thank you for some beautiful shots. Happy cruising
Drone story is great

Exceptional scenery, thanks for taking me along. Stay healthy and we'll see you next week.
With any electronic testing you'll need a Fluke .
It was a Fluke that I found your channel.
I was so looking forward to some excellent new footage of Desolation Sound. Unfortunately i mentioned such and the fates decided it was not to be. Or twas but a fluke.
Peter, I love the way you can set up your dinghy to be a sail boat.Magic. And the electric outboard is feather light. Best of all possible worlds..
Heh, but that battery! beast!
simplicity at its best
Fluke is the best tools when it comes to electric measuring. I have used those a lot at work as a airplane mechanic.
Nice cruising and nice sailingboat
Just b4 tuning made a ham sandwich with apple cider with sum water. ( Stretch that cider out)tomato ,ham, romaine lettuce..I was gonna but saw mayo jar I cleaned to throw out said y not..I put my lettuce in jar with water ..shook drained shook lettuce again then drain out water left on leafs, worked pretty good..
Bravo!
Not a fluke you lost the drone, I did the same.... Poor flying 😭
On the east coast in Connecticut we used to catch FLUKE for the cats.
Sorry about your drone hopefully your next one floats Cheers bro third times a charm
It's a fluke that you look more relaxed or are you? Nice docking
Thanks for the video, have never seen any places like that, wonderful experience cruseing, like to see different places of the world.
To prevent future flukes. Rig your next drone with an inflatable cell from a fishing life jacket. It would be great content watching you rig it up!
Beautiful cruising grounds. You have inspired me even more to go cruising now that I have my boat back up and running.
It was a sure fluke you got that sink off without a mishap, well, maybe not. lol btw Peter if you have to use the phone its doesn't bother me at all ...just so you know.
fluke makes a great ohm meter
Great vlog Peter, it’s no fluke you’re gaining subscribers!
Fluke Corp makes electronics, no doubt they could whip up a dandy new drone for you.
Here's to no more costly flukes.
Gorgeous episode. Also, an anchor is only as strong as it’s fluke(s)…
Love that stride piano!!!!!
Hello 👋🤩
Hi Peter. I really enjoy watching all of your boat improvement videos and your cruising videos. Each time you cruise from one point to another please tell us how far the journey is and how long it will take ( eg: 10 NM @ 6.5 knots = 1.5 hr.) Thanks. Sail on!
Nice work, like the content as well as the great camera work, beautiful, one of my favorite shows.
Sorry you lost the drone. There are a few reasonably priced waterproof drones available now. Lady Z's boat looks quite nice with a painted cabin.
If you’ve landed on this wonderful channel, it may be by fluke, and you will enjoy something
Stunning and dramatic scenery. No fluke because you planned it so well.
It was a definite fluke the drone hit the bimini. You’ve always been pretty good about those camera shots. Round 3 it is!
I look forward to your next voyage. I like the sailing as well. Sad to feel summer slipping away.
The word “fluke” is usually associated with a good outcome…perhaps a new drone/GoPro are just such outcomes!!
BTW I meant to ask if you have considered using the What3words app for us armchair cruisers?
Speaking of tomatoes I don't bother with Mexican not sure how they water the plants..Canadian I hear water with beer 👍🏻🍻
@@drcornelius8275 I think I'm going with the cocker spaniel! :-) But the magical herb story is more likely!
Is it a fluke that you chose the word fluke? Now, I want to be back out of the water with all this nice weather we've been having. Good way to beat the heat.
