Creativity in any form is highly vulnerable, which feels exposed and raw. Just the nature of creativity itself is something extremely personal. That’s why we fall into isolation, or at least the feeling of it. Don’t be hard on yourself if you feel that way, we all do. Sometimes it just takes one scary step to realize you contribute an amazing amount to your ecosystem, and them to you.

I am usually a very cynical person, and whenever someone starts giving out advice (even if I ask for it :) ) I always have this feeling of being talked down to, and I don't want to listen to anything the other person has to say. So if I do actually want to get something out of the advice I have to overcome this stupid feeling, but you somehow manage to go right around that ... could be your goofiness ... :)

Me as Fine Art student from Brazil struggling to deal with her creations, the formal art system, being someone having a name and social media and content creation and frustrations and WHATEVER ELSE i am very grateful for the 20 minutes company and reminders while finishing one of my silly little (big) pieces. this video has my heart, mind, conscious and unconscious EVERYTHING. I LOVE IT
it wasn't until this year that i truly realized that - that as an artist with writing as a medium, with someone who wants to use it in my future, that you need community to thrive in something creative. it's vulnerable to share art with people - in any form, because it's putting your truest self out there, in whichever ways you do it - music covers online, video films, posting fanart - even fanfiction. you need some kind community or connection to truly thrive it - to make sure that spark never goes out, and this video truly reminded me of that.
keep doing what youre doing - the video essayist type with beautiful shots and a hint of awkwardness with some of it - it's nice :). we were all truly built to connect through art, and it's great to be reminded of that through this type of art.
Great video! Somehow I had bought the idea that I had to do everything on my own and if I couldn't, then I'd never make anything of my music. I accepted this year that I'm part of an industry and a community and so many people out there are struggling with the same things I am. It was incredibly freeing to realise that I don't have to play every instrument or ace every piece of theory to be proud of my songs. Nothing comes from nothing. I've been recording an album. These session musicians recording my music are there because I wrote something and put myself out there. I've learned that fear is just my passenger in this life, it is not my captain. I am now open to meeting new people, after many years of thinking it would never work. I've stopped stressing about meeting the right people or how long it may take - I am putting a performing band together. It has to be the right thing and it may take time. Doesn't mean there's anything wrong with me. In the meantime I'll see if I can be of use to anyone and have a genuine curiosity about others, to learn as much as I can :)
