I just came across this video and man your presentation and how you put this video together is amazing But also as a son of Chinese immigrants, feng shui has actually driven me nuts At a house my family was looking at to buy, my grandparents and grand uncles came along and vetoed the house because the exterior and position had bad feng shui I wasn’t allowed to orient my bed a specific way (head/feet shouldn’t face a window and optimally not the door) because it’s bad feng shui It’s not just what materials are, it’s also where things are positioned

My favorite thing to do is wander through a bookstore, looking for a book I've never heard of to buy, no algorithms involved. Sometimes, my wife gets mad at how long I take, but to me, it feels like no time has passed.

I was living in Asheville when hurricane Hellene hit. Ive been there for 10 years and I lost damn near everything. Its been over 2 months and Im just now finding a new place to live, starting from scratch with all my belongings, in a new city, and still on the look out for a new job too. Change has been a monumental aspect of my life ever since the disaster. I never wanted any of this change... Im trying to embrace it and find the joy in all these new experiences. But its been so freakin heavy. I guess... what im getting at is that this is a great video XD

They have edited, changed and deleted whole scenes of their movies on the streaming service, and it wouldn’t of been noticed if it wasn’t for the people who have the physical media to prove it’s been changed….

Thank you Lord Algorithm, finally found a video that gets at what I'm feeling. I am usually not one to join to people scaremongering bout the WEF but a "You will own nothing and be happy" future is just so far from what I want and we're nearly already there and I absolutely hate it. I will continue buying and loaning books, CDs, video games, and the occasional movie until it is no longer feasibly possible. I absolutely hate what streaming has done to the music business, and what it is in the process of doing to the video game industry.

Meanwhile a lot of influencers just make Patreon to earn some extra bucks

Very enjoyable video! I like your record player and am interested in painting over a blurry photo myself. I also wish you would clean your typewriter slugs. It's fairly easy to do and will make your typed notes look much better. While you're at it you may as well replace your ribbon.

Honestly in this day and age of speed consumption I think it’s important to take a step back and slow down with physical media forms. I also think it’s more important now than ever to own media when it’s constantly censored, and bought and sold between new platforms seemingly every second. You never know when you can lose what you thought you could keep.

Records are super pricy nowadays because everyone wants them. CDs? Cost next to nothing! CD players? Can be aquired super cheap second hand! I also have an MP3 for on-the-go listening. Don't ask where the MP3 files come from.

I have turned 2 used nissan r33 bomex tuner bumpers into tables and I'm using the rear one as a sticker collection piece since my hobbies involve going to events and those almost always give you some sort of stickers. It's also a really nice vibe to have when everything in your living space is connected to you as a person, for example I've got genuine 30+ year old movie posters, some retro game collections (psp/xbox 360) and a traffic light that just illuminates most of the room for ambiance. I do love physical media and art and I think more people should, thanks for encouraging that with your video!
