Ive owned an Xt30 for over 2 years and its great. When the mk2 was released Fuji commented that there were 87 differences. The new price remained the same though. So in effect they improved a great camera. The next gen Xtrans is close to being announced and it seems it will be something to look forward to.
I'm sure the marketing department listed every possible difference they could come up with😀 Is there a list of all those 87 differences anywhere? Would be interesting to see. However, to my understanding the only significant differences were the screen and bigger buffer.
Thank you for clarifying the point about the lack of IBIS being a downside, but not a dealbreaker. The IBIS missing on the XT30 ii was something I learned yesterday during researching so I have been hoping to find opinions on that and whether or not it matters so much. Thanks again!
I know the feeling. I bought (2) X-T1's recently and gave up a Nikon D750 to do it. Not one single regret and the images from the Fuji cameras blow me away. Fewer megapixels, old technology.....and superb output. I may buy 2 more as backups.
My first and second Fuji cameras were great until my second had a spot on the lens. Its was in 2007, the camera cost me £220. Fuji estimated £180 to remove the spot from the lens. I decided to look for another camera, I carried on lookin until 2009 when I discovered the Panasonic Lumix, and that is my go to camera for ever.
Surprised to see no one suggested the 18-55mm kit lens. Many people say it is the best kit lens. Pretty sharp. OIS helps compensate for the lack of IBIS. A great lens to start your Fuji experience. I too bought a XT30 at a good price used. Right after I bought it the MIi model came out and the value dropped. Overall, the MIi isn’t a big improvement. Like all the XTx0 models are smaller versions of the single digit XT bodies. They have ~75% of the XT_ at a lower price. The Q button surprisingly was corrected on the MIi. There is a work around where it can be deactivated. A shame to loose a button. My work around is buying a 2nd party grip. The body was already too small for me to carry around for long periods. Not only is it more comfortable to hold, I hit the Q button less. I like this body. With the kit 18-55 I get image stabilization and the focal lengths I most use. For primes the Fuji crons work very well with this body. Small. Lite. Relatively fast and a good price. For me this was a good purchase. I hope you enjoy your new Fuji gear. Mask On Nurse Marty

It is a very good camera, bought one of the last ones last year. From my X-T10 I still had the kit lenses, and got the 18-135, as it is very versatile. I bought it because of the excellent picture quality in this compact size. Don't use it much, as I don't like mirrorless cameras with their EVF. But as you seem to like them, this should be a perfect match, congratulations!
I like using RAW files for extra sharpness and so on, but I agree that JPEGs are amazing and impossible to match in editors I use (On1 PhotoRaw, RawTherapee). However I have some issues with X100V while I found Panasonic G80 basically flawless within limitations of body/sensor/age. Maybe I'm just not familiar with all settings 1) When I turn on camera, image is sometimes white and it takes like 10s to camera to accommodate exposure. Sometimes i need to half press shutter. Once it happened that camera took photos overexposed while preview was fine and what helped was turning camera off and on. I'll try firmware update which I haven't done since early autumn or so. 2) Metering. It seems that it prefers to measure exposure according to focus point even in matrix metering mode, but with lesser weight than point metering. So refocusing changes expose. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not cause it can result into overexposed clouds etc. 3) Like 1/100 photos is out of focus without any reason (most common reason is accidentally moving focus point, but these photos are not focused to anything) But since I have Fuji, I'm using it as every day carry camera and I'm using Panasonic very rarely - only when I need standard zoom, telezoom, video, ... it's much more versatile, but it's not fun to use.
Love my xt30. It has been almost 3 years since I bought it. Come with the 18-55 which is versatile. Bought the 27mm to for the low profile. Now experimenting with manual ttartisan lens which is fun for a low price.
My copy of 15-45mm is excellent. Very sharp even wide open at 15mm. With the OIS, you can shoot at 1/10 sec, still sharp. Can compare with my Olympus EM5 IBIS.
There is so many amazing Fuji lens I would pair with that camera over a sigma. I like Sigma as I have the sigma 85mm f1.4 art lens on my LEICA SL. The Fuji 35 f2 would pair wonderfully with the xt30 since it takes amazing photos and is really small
Hello, I have an XT30 now, and I still have two XT1s which I will just keep till death do us part since it is no longer produced and Fuji USA said there are no longer parts available for the XT1's. I was commenting though to let you know that for my XT30 I got a used mint condition JJC HG-XT30 base with grip extender pretty cheap somewhere, most likely Adorama. Anyway, it solves the issue about the position of the tripod screw hole and places it dead center which is a standard. It has a cutout for the battery access and extends the grip out nice in the front. I think Fuji actually makes their own version but this one is stable of good quality. I was having the same issue as you about accidentally hitting the Q button so I completely disabled it and move Q function to the Fn button located front near the shutter. I shoot Sony, Canon and Fuji so it has taken me a while to get around to playing with and learning this XT30 because I was always grabbing a XT1on the run, a body I know well. Peace.
I've recently got into Fuji as well! I choose to do that due to its beautiful body design and excellent XF 33mm F/1.4. I've been shooting with FFs and MFTs, but Fuji is also really an interesting system.
Totally agree on the control dials being spongy and the Q button - I found them horrible. The camera itself is great, image quality is excellent but it was let down by the controls. Thanks for the video. :)
So nice to see one of my favorite RUclipsr now using Fuji. I for myself use a X-S10 with several lenses from Fuji and Viltrox. The Sigma 30mm 1.4is the next 😊
I´m currently looking to get another budget camera for someone just starting out, and Fuji is definitely my choice this time. I love my X-T3 for hobby stuff and use it often together with my A7iii that I use for work. Looking at the price on the used market, the X-T10/20/30 are all very interesting models, but they all lack some features that I feel I cannot miss out on, like weather sealing or the dpad. I also enjoy the buttons on the front like the X-T1/2/3/4 have, as the smaller sibling models also come with fewer buttons in general - but those front buttons are not a must-have. In total, I love the X-T~~ lineup a lot, but there´s just something that makes me rather look at other models. Currently, I´m eyeing the X-T2 for that reason. A solid camera for a very good used price. Only thing that it really lacks is a touch display, which the X-T20 does have. The X-T1 is even cheaper, but if I can get an X-T2, then that would be great. Only thing coming to mind would be getting an X-T200, which is actually a really nice camera in general aswell. Problem there are just the plastic body with lacking weather sealing and the low amount of used options so far. Conclusion: I love the X-T30 as I love my X-T3. The X-T30 is certainly a great deal for those wanting more and that are able to spend the money. For everyone else starting out or looking for something even cheaper, the used market for Fuji is decently sized and their older models will still perform just as amazing except for maybe video and AF speed. If you got the money and the X-T30 got everything you need, then go for it. You won´t be disappointed. Great video with an interesting message. Trying out many different systems is always something good, and I hope you keep looking and all the options out there. Not as a gear-centric kind of thing, but as you do now, in your way of "feeling the photography" based on experience rather than functions and features.
Don't bother with weather sealing for a complete beginner. Unless they use the camera in rain, it should be alright. The x-t200 is a very nice beginners choice. Fully articulated 16:9 touch screen, nice EVF, a very nice introduction into the Fujifilm world. EDIT: Also, weather sealed or not, there is always the risk of condensation build up if you use the camera in very cold climate and then put it in a warm car, room.
After 6+ years of using IBIS, I won't even consider buying a digital camera without it. That particular feature is just as valuable as autofocus in my book!
Yup. It's why the only Fuji I would contemplate right now is the X-S10. X-T4, too big. All other Fuji bodies, no IBIS. That leaves X-S10, but Fuji's long lenses are meh so...m4/3 it is.
@@ryankwan1934 Body size isn't a very big deal for me but *heck yeah* telephoto glass is! Now that I'm used to having the PanaLeica 100-400mm's reach I don't know if I could switch to anything but MFT without going broke in the process.
I got the X-T4 because off the IBIS. Just because, because is too expensive & big. But the IBIS is very disapointet - so in my world it doesnt work for 1.600€. So the only best way ist X-T30 II, yo got a small payable X-T4. Now i will use X-T30 II for video + gymbal for video & X-T3 for photographie. A bad sumary after trying all, butt, the X-T4 was a big fail. The IBIS just works in some small cases right, instead i use leses wirth "IBIS" ;) (/OIS)
You could have considered the x-T3 second hand as well. That one has everything you need. I recommend to buy either the new 23 mm 1.4 or the new 33 mm from fujinon.
I'm impressed by Fuji cameras especially the glass, except the kit lens I guess. But they only started putting IBIS in a fewof their cameras. Of course I use a Sony, and their IBIS isn't that hot anyway, but on my Olympus and Panasonic cameras the IBIS is really useful.
Remember you can't have too much coffee if you shoot with this camera with no ibis and all 😉. But jokes aside I hear these Fuji cameras are great for travel/street photography with the right lenses, so well worth looking into. Thanks for the vid!
Hi Matti! I perfectly understand your excitement about your Fuji camera. I bought a used x-T20 with a 16-50mm, and a 50-230mm lens and I absolutely love the gear! I bought it for the telephoto lens only, since I already had an X-T2, which is a more pro camera on paper. But I love the XT20 so much that I don't think I'm gonna sell it anytime soon! Haha
I bought MY X-T30 II this summer, One thing ı don't like whenever ı do setting before ı take picture menu screen coming and blocking my view and causıng to miss my shot even I am not touching or pressing the menu button. I customised selectüng another button, not to touch menu button even accidently still another menu setting view coming to my screen, very annoying. Did you experience something like this problem, İf you did let me know There is any solution thanks very much.
I use m4/3 for job. For my photo (family, travel, et cetera) I use the old em1, but for use jpg only is not very well. I use an xt3 and wow.. but I want a fuji low budget. Xt30 probably is very good.
Wishing you the best Matti with your newly acquired Fuji...While exploring new gear is quite ok, do you feel that too much of an attention on the gear detracts from the very purpose we bought it in the first place...Micro four thirds cameras and lenses, Ricoh GR camera, Sony A7c and now Fuji XT-30... would like to see more of the photography that you do with any of the gear.
For me I was super lucky with the kitlens. I did own a few primes, but at the apertures I shoot the kitlens is just as sharp or even sharper, less distortion, chromatic aberation etc. I was especailly dissapointed with the 23mm f2.0. But other people love it, so it's a bit like a lotery it seems :/
The Fuji "kit" lens is the marvellous XF 18-55mm f2.8-4 that has image stabilization... The XC 15-45 is a very cheap lens, you were right to send it back. I think the only XC lens that is worth it, is the XC 50-230mm, though a bit slow it is a basic but capable lens. I have a Fuji XT2, and I use the JPEGs almost always, a quick Flick of a button and I change the film sim and see through the evf what film sim suits the shot better. Even though I also own an Olympus em10 mk iii with its wonderful IBIS, when I pick up my Fuji it is not at all a dealbreaker. I choose brands more by their color science (how the JPEGs are SOOC), how fun they are to use and together with their price of body and lenses. I don't like editing RAW files in LR or PS or any other RAW developer for that matter, so I love how Fuji and Olympus have great JPEGs SOOC, but particularly Fuji's in camera RAW conversion, and together with Fujifilm X RAW Studio software, that is a Joy to use other Fuji addicts film Sims, that is the biggest strenght of Fujifilm for me.
@@ashleyblack327 I agree with almost everything you wrote, except the part on the 15-45 lens. That lens doesn't convince me at all. About the 50-230, now that is a lens I am looking at... It's cheap, and although a bit slow on the aperture, it has a great reach and is in my opinion a great value for money lens. Regarding the xc35, it's as good as the xf35 f2, it's cheaper and no WR, so it's a personal choice I think. About your heavyweight Pentax lenses, I don't know the brand but I believe you. That old glass was extremely well built.
@@ashleyblack327 hi Ashley, see it is right because of what you wrote... In your two copies one is tack sharp, the other one not really, the inconsistency is enormous, also I did try that lens, I didn't like it one bit, but that is ok and perfectly fine. It is my opinion, and I am glad for you and that you have a great time with yours, because like you said in one of your comments, it is way lighter than the 18-55 that a certainty and for you it is as good as the 18-55. Good for you!! All the best to you!!
You have to use new Sigma Lenses for Fuji; 16 30 and 56 F 1,4! The three all for 1000 euros. Fantastic Better is XS10 then XT30 and costs quite the same but it's stabilized. Let's change with XS10!
I would suggest you look at the 18-55mm kit lens. It’s a fantastic walk around general purpose. It also has IOS which works well. I own it and use it daily. It would complement the sigma very nicely.
I think there has been one more FW update for the II version and I don't know what that does. The II may have some other improvements too, but I have heard they are not significant. But I have never used the II, so I don't really know.
@@mattisulanto Me neither, I heard that from Chris Niccolls;-) I would definitely buy the mkII version, but probably no reason for an upgrade, if you own the mkI... I know I shouldn´t buy too many cameras, but I feel like getting a nice Fuji more and more these days... But which one to choose? At least the XT30 is one of the less expensive ;-)
@@mattisulanto I can be wrong, but the x-s10 have the same video features than x-t30 and a fully articulated screen, it's more a difference of the physical style of the camera (x-s10 use pasm dials and have grip), and of course IBIS
@@jardijr I actually looked at the specs and it looks exactly like you say. Anyway, I bought the X-T30 because it was available used for a good price. No used X-S10s in sight😀
@@mattisulanto and you did it well, I find my fuji x-t2 fun to use, different from my Olympus (although I still like my Olympus), recently I bought the 35mm f1.4 with a really old and ancient x-pro1 for the price of only the lens in second hand and is now in my EDC
What would be the best Fuji camera to get for someone who wants to get into the system? MFT is my main system so I just want to slowly get into it because the look and film simulations of the Fujifilm cameras has me interested. I’ve thought about getting an XT-3 with the 18-55 kit lens.
I got the X-T30 to get into the system, but the XT-3 is more robust, professional and better camera. Image quality is the same on all 26Mp Fujis, so it comes down to the features and ergonomics.
@@mattisulanto I was originally going to get the XT-3 instead of the Lumix G9. But I ended up choosing the G9. Now I again find myself interested in trying the XT-3 😅
I love this machine, I have been using it for more than 1 year. I wish it had been updated to the classic negative simulation. Sir, do you think Fujifilm will send this update for Xt30?Should we still hope?
@@mattisulanto Thanks for the reply this is very sad. I want to ask you a very short question. should i get xe4 or xt30 ii ? I really want the classic negative.
@@shujtr Like I said, I don't know anything. What I wrote is just my opinion, not a fact. I think you should take the body style you like the best, because both cameras are almost identical regarding features. If you do a lot of video, maybe the X-T30II is a bit nicer.
In a similar situation l choose Sony A6300. Do you know why? Because its ovf is in the corner. And l have a large nose. :) The cameras are technically very high level nowadays. Actually there are only excellent and more excellent cameras on the market.
This annoying feature You just mention about, is actualy easy to fix Simply by buying external excessory like I did to my X - T2 . Once you add MEIKE grip to your body, you attach body to tripod by ARCA SWISS Mount.
a very timely video thank you. couple of questions 1. does the camera have classic chrome simulation? 2. currently using G80/G85 can you use the lens from m43 with an adaptor on Fuji?
@@mattisulanto I have found that the difference between x-t2 and x-t30, as used, is not too great. I am looking for a versatile mirrorless, whether portrait, detail or landscape photos. I'll also have to pair a lens to get started. Thank you
Interesting that your 15-45mm lens was not sharp. I had one and it was super sharp. Sharper than my 18-55mm and even some of my primes. I actually just sold it because the images looked very sharp but somehow quite sterile to me.
Gee are you sure this was a good purchase? No IBIS, tripod screw in wrong place, sent back the kit lens, spongy controls? The camera looks and performs great but that’s a lot of negatives. I just bought a used Olympus Pen F in sliver and love it. The only downside for me, is I preferred flip up screen but that’s it. No other complaints.
The kit lens, as you probably know, is not part of the camera and even Olympus has bad lens copies. The tripod thread problem is also not unique for the Fuji and I have solved it already. I'm happy for you if you have found the perfect camera😀
hi just looked at used prices and the Fuji is the same price as a G9 so not as much of a great deal as I was hoping for. if you had to pick only one would it be G9 or fuji
I ordered a Fuji X-T30 to get into the Fuji system. I returned it not because it didn't perform but I have large hands and the controls were too cramped together for me. Bought an X-T3 and that solved the problem.
Thanks for such review, Im thinking about to buy this camera, and this video helps me to make decision between x-t20 and x-t30 and x-s10 probably. NB: Im from Ukraine - your hat is awesome 💙💛🥰
(3:46) Actually surprised you are using a Sony A7C for your videos, especially since you are basically describing how challenging the workflow is. After being a Lumix ambassador previously, it feels like your previous reviews of their cameras are a bit disingenuous. Comparing the Fuji X-T30 to Lumix cameras seems like it would make more since coming from you, than comparing it to a Sony… …
The workflow it not a challenge at all, but it's a small challenge to switch between photo and video. The Sony autofocus makes the workflow really smooth actually. By the way, I now use the A7IV for my videos, because of that little problem with the A7C😀
@@Superz3ro Like I said in the video I still have Lumix gear, I use it and I like it. I also said in the video that everyone should buy the gear they like, not the gear the someone else likes😀
@@mattisulanto To the point: You have basically built a credibility with Lumix cameras, thus your views of other camera would be more helpful coming from the perspective of a person who has use mainly Lumix in the past. So when you compare the experience of using the X-T30 to a Sony camera, something gets lost in the translation. Fujifilm also makes amazing JPEGs with the film simulations. I rarely shoot and edit RAW files with Fujifilm cameras.
Totally agree on the control dials being spongy and the Q button - I found them horrible. The camera itself is great, image quality is excellent but it was let down by the controls. Thanks for the video. :)
Thanks for watching.
I have the same problems and still get superb results. Which camera is better? XT3?

Thanks for sharing you insights.
If only the great photographers of the past had IBIS lol
@@ryankwan1934 is Ibis mainly for video though? If I were to shoot street photography would think be fine?
I'd love that opening animation!
Thanks.
For many, no ibis is indeed a big deal. Not that it is really needed in most situations, but there are good alternatives.
That is my opinion too.
Nice cap, Matti! Hello from Kyiv
Thanks! 😀
You could have considered the x-T3 second hand as well. That one has everything you need. I recommend to buy either the new 23 mm 1.4 or the new 33 mm from fujinon.
Of course I could have, but the X-T30 was available for a good price😀
I sold mine a few weeks ago. Miss it already!
Good looking camera with portable size!
OK. My Sony A6600, I bought it and love it.
Welcome to the Fuji club! 🥳
Thanks!
I also love my Fuji XT30 as much as my Panasonic GX9. For Fuji I have the 18-55 f 2.8-4 and 27 f2.8.
Thanks for sharing.
I'm thinking of switching from my GX9 to the XT30 - is it worth an upgrade? Is it even an upgrade? Thanks
Thanks for sharing.
thanks for the effort and the sharing. thumbs up.
I’m considering to upgrade from a Sony A6000 to this X-T30. I’d really like to have Fuji jpgs.
Fuji has a knack in putting the q button in the wrong place. That is why I sold my x100t.
“Thumb rest” -that said your preference may differ but if you’ve not used one, I’d recommend it.
Thanks for sharing.
Remember you can't have too much coffee if you shoot with this camera with no ibis and all 😉. But jokes aside I hear these Fuji cameras are great for travel/street photography with the right lenses, so well worth looking into. Thanks for the vid!
Thanks. Gotta avoid excessive amounts of coffee with this camera😀
Haha
Thanks for sharing!
You can change the quick menu, put it out.
I was tempted by analog dials but at about 2X the price of my E-M1 II with no IBIS or articulating touch screen I'll stick with what I have for now.
Best back up camera to my xt-3
Love the hat 👍
Thanks!
Nice review tnx.
I use m4/3 for job. For my photo (family, travel, et cetera) I use the old em1, but for use jpg only is not very well. I use an xt3 and wow.. but I want a fuji low budget. Xt30 probably is very good.
Thanks for sharing.
The mark 2 is like an XE4 with AF switch.
Yeah, it’s like the XT-4 with more physical controls.
Thanks for your feedback. Did you see my recent Canon POV photowalk: ruclips.net/video/fy4FRwcMjog/видео.html
Kit lenses especially have a lot of quality variation. Thanks for sharing.
Sounds like you would like the Fuji X-S10 ... All the nags you mentioned on the X-T30 is fixed with that and it has IBIS
Thanks for the tip.
@@ashleyblack327 PS - I forgot to answer about that sibling lens you wrote... Hummm... I would look in to a lens like that probably... Nice 👍👍
The 18-55 is a much better kit lens! only slightly soft at 55mm thats the only weakness i could find on my copy.
Thanks for sharing.
You have to use new Sigma Lenses for Fuji; 16 30 and 56 F 1,4! The three all for 1000 euros. Fantastic Better is XS10 then XT30 and costs quite the same but it's stabilized. Let's change with XS10!
Thanks for the offer, but I'll stick with my X-T30😀
I would suggest you look at the 18-55mm kit lens. It’s a fantastic walk around general purpose. It also has IOS which works well. I own it and use it daily. It would complement the sigma very nicely.
Thanks for the tip!
@@mattisulanto if you bring the Fuji cam to Portugal, I'll let you try the xf18-55mm

Hey, Matti, I heard the X-T30 II has better focus tracking, buffer, slow-mo video, and other improved features...
I think there has been one more FW update for the II version and I don't know what that does. The II may have some other improvements too, but I have heard they are not significant. But I have never used the II, so I don't really know.
@@mattisulanto Me neither, I heard that from Chris Niccolls;-)
I would definitely buy the mkII version, but probably no reason for an upgrade, if you own the mkI... I know I shouldn´t buy too many cameras, but I feel like getting a nice Fuji more and more these days...
But which one to choose? At least the XT30 is one of the less expensive ;-)
I love your hat 💙💛🙌
Thanks.
Have you tried the X-S10? That one has IBIS. Its also compact, and comes with a big grip.
I have not tried that. It has worse video features, though. Am I right?
@@mattisulanto yup it is targeted more towards photography. The video features are a bit limited.
Original xf lenses x ever
Worth it to use as a webcam/camera for pics?
I guess so, like any camera.
I think their is currently a promotion on the X-T3 if that floats your boat. Good luck!!
I love this machine, I have been using it for more than 1 year. I wish it had been updated to the classic negative simulation. Sir, do you think Fujifilm will send this update for Xt30?Should we still hope?
Thanks for sharing. I have no idea what Fuji will do in the future, but it looks like the X-T30 is not going to get any more FW updates.
@@mattisulanto I understand now. Thank you so much !
I have the Lumix GX80. How do you find the Fuji experience compared to the Lumix? I’m mainly looking for stills with good colours.
Both are good systems and I like both. I'm not sure what to say, really.
In a similar situation l choose Sony A6300. Do you know why? Because its ovf is in the corner. And l have a large nose. :)
The cameras are technically very high level nowadays. Actually there are only excellent and more excellent cameras on the market.
Thanks for sharing. You had a very good reason to choose the Sony😀
Then the Fuji X-E lineup is for you. Fuji X-Ts have bigger eyecup though, so they are better to use with the EVF (not OVF!) in the middle.
Tip: get a Fuji lens as soon as possible.
Thanks for the tip.
This annoying feature You just mention about, is actualy easy to fix Simply by buying external excessory like I did to my X - T2 . Once you add MEIKE grip to your body, you attach body to tripod by ARCA SWISS Mount.
Thanks so much for your advice, but I have already solved it😀
a very timely video thank you.
couple of questions
1. does the camera have classic chrome simulation?
2. currently using G80/G85 can you use the lens from m43 with an adaptor on Fuji?
Thanks. 1. It does have Classic Chrome and it looks great. 2. Can't use MFT lenses on Fuji.
Hi. What do you think about x-t2?? Which is better. Tyyyyy
It depends what you shoot and what your budget is.
@@mattisulanto I have found that the difference between x-t2 and x-t30, as used, is not too great. I am looking for a versatile mirrorless, whether portrait, detail or landscape photos. I'll also have to pair a lens to get started. Thank you
@@marcorusso4951 It's a personal preference, really. They all make similar looking photos.

Interesting that your 15-45mm lens was not sharp. I had one and it was super sharp. Sharper than my 18-55mm and even some of my primes. I actually just sold it because the images looked very sharp but somehow quite sterile to me.
Mine was clearly a bad copy and that is not uncommon with kit lenses, regardless of the brand.
Bought it and sold it... I am spoilded by m43 and can't use a camera without ibis.
How is the build qulity? Same like xt3?
Build quality is good in my opinion, but I have not compared it to the XT-3.
hi just looked at used prices and the Fuji is the same price as a G9 so not as much of a great deal as I was hoping for. if you had to pick only one would it be G9 or fuji
Over here the G9 body costs about 1.7 times more than the X-T30II body😀 It's hard for me to imagine that they would be the same price.
dig your cap
Thanks.
I ordered a Fuji X-T30 to get into the Fuji system. I returned it not because it didn't perform but I have large hands and the controls were too cramped together for me. Bought an X-T3 and that solved the problem.
Thanks for sharing. The X-T30 is a small camera and probably not suitable for big hands. Good to hear the X-T3 works for you.
Exactly my point too
How is a screen that only tilts in one dimension great for photography? Do you never shoot vertical images?
I shoot vertical sometimes.
If the camera lacks ibis, then why wouldn’t you just buy lenses that have OIS?
Of course, but that would limit your options quite a bit because there are many excellent lenses without OIS. Most primes, for example.
Not sure how much you paid, but I’m sure you have your money’s worth. If you want IBIS, pay another grand when the XH2 comes out

(3:46) Actually surprised you are using a Sony A7C for your videos, especially since you are basically describing how challenging the workflow is. After being a Lumix ambassador previously, it feels like your previous reviews of their cameras are a bit disingenuous. Comparing the Fuji X-T30 to Lumix cameras seems like it would make more since coming from you, than comparing it to a Sony…
…
The workflow it not a challenge at all, but it's a small challenge to switch between photo and video. The Sony autofocus makes the workflow really smooth actually. By the way, I now use the A7IV for my videos, because of that little problem with the A7C😀
@@mattisulanto So now that you are no longer an ambassador for Lumix, is the system not worth staying with for regular use, in your opinion…?

I clicked on this video because, I too have an interest in Fuji cameras, they appeal to me. So when you compare the experience of using the X-T30 to a Sony camera, something gets lost in the translation. If you compare it to your Lumix experience, then I might have more of a connection to your point, because that is my frame of reference regarding your videos…

@@Superz3ro I'm not really sure I understand you. I have been a photographer since 1970s and a professional photographer for 40 years.
