It's crazy that you can get so much power packed into such a small camera these days. I'm looking forward to getting one of these as my first upgrade from a point and shoot. The portability is really appealing and should make for more photo opportunities than something bigger.

Yes! The x-t30 is the ideal form factor for traveling. I think I will mostly use my Sony when traveling, to get the most quality when I am somewhere special, but the x-t30 should also be able to handle pretty much anything decently well.

It depends what you want to shoot but the 18-55 ‘kit’ lens is really excellent - compact with great quality. I bought mine second hand for a good price and is a great all-rounder. Next I recommend the one of small fuji f2 primes. Again, second hand, these are great value and retain the overall small form factor on the xt30 or similar body. For all round family shooting I’d go for the 23mm f2 (35mm equivalent on full frame) but the 35mm (52mm equivalent) is also really nice if you prefer that focal length,

They have the same sensors, so focus on getting faster glass if you need better lowlight performance. If you're focus is video and the budget will allow it, the X-T3 is a better camera (For non sensor related reasons)

It's pretty decent I would say, it's fine if you're shooting for a couple of hours but it won't last a full intense day of shooting. The batteries aren't very big because the Fuji bodies are all very compact. The good thing is you can charge it in-between with usb-c if you have access to a wall plug. But I would recommend getting two more 3rd party batteries (those can be bought for pretty cheap) and then you won't have to worry about battery at all.

No real benefits to have the x-e4 over the x-t30 other than the visual camera style. Basically with the x-t30 you'll get more buttons and the "real" tactile feel of fuji cameras. The only benefit with the x-e4 is that some people prefer the evf on the left side of the camera (nose can touch the screen in the x-t30 when using the evf since it's in the middle). Other than that the x-t30 have better ergonomics and feels better in hand. The only reason the xe4 became popular is the fact that people could'nt get their hands on the x100v because of the hype so they wanted a similar cool camera. Now the same happens with xe4. You can't find it anywhere and The prices go up for the same reason. Hype. Instead of x-t30 I would go for the xs-10 because of the ibis.
