Option besides Amsteel for the rope - NOTE: You can take a pair of pliers and bend the metal loop set and take it out. Cut the rope at 8' and you have your first mod.

10:25 I think your explanation/demonstration is one of the best I have seen. I am about to do my first one and I will use this as my reference guide. Example: You explained how to get the loop size.
- Fids/pusher: I went to Walmart and got aluminum sewing needles as I saw on other vids.
-Thanks for the great video!!
Hey thx for stopping in and thank you!
Thanks for a practical how to......I'm definitely giving it a try. Amsteel is so hard to pass up in lightening everything up!! Climb safe!
Hey, thanks for stopping in and good luck to you!
Thanks for the detailed rope mod, looking forward to use it on my lone wolf sticks! God bless
Donald Cronkhite absolutely. I just loaded a vid on making daisy chain also out of 7/64th amsteel.
You are costing "Chinese Jobs" (LOL) The Amazon price on the fid kit is great!
Going to make false crotch line out of 1/2 inch Amsteel Blue. Thank you for the video.
Lol! Nice good luck!
Excellent video thanks for posting
Thx!
My issue is if you order a 1/4in samson fid by itself will not even come close to fitting even half of a 1/4in amsteal rope for splicing. I really wish Eastern Woods Outdoors would have let me know the fid requirement is not equivalent to rope diameter despite what Sampson charts designate
Have you or know anyone that has tried spicing oplux rope
bkbowhunter1 I haven’t and I haven’t heard of it. Sorry
Aaron Wright Outdoors NO PROBLEM. IM SWITCHING TO OPLUX THIS YEAR I HAVE ONE ALREADY. THAT HAS A KNOT IVE SEEN ONES WITH A SEWN EYE . SPLICED IS JUST ALTO NICER IN MY OPION.
