Great information, Dave! Thanks for taking the time to put this together! 🙏🏼
I appreciate you watching Matt 👍
Great video Dave!! I have never used climbing sticks, but your video makes me think! I appreciate your attention to the pros and cons. Very informative!! Have a great week!! 👍👍👍
Thanks for watching Dave. I hope you’re continuing to heal 👍
This is one of the most detailed and awesome videos I've seen! Great stuff and thanks for sharing!!
I appreciate your encouragement 👍
Very thorough informative video. That's one thing I've never done or used is a saddle or climbing sticks. Only if I could turn back time. My deer hunting days are behind me but I can definitely see there are advantages to using a saddle and sticks.
Thanks for watching Chuck. There’s many things I’d like to turn back time on…😂🤣😂
I have not come across these before so this is all new and great information. Thanks for taking to time to explain everything in lots of detail
Thanks for watching! 👍
I'm doing 3 rope mods this year. I used straps all last year but switching it up this year. Great comparison Video.
Thanks for watching. You’ll definitely save some weight with the ropes…then you can carry even more camera gear! 😂🤣😂
I got hawk heliums and the ones I got came with a strap that was daisy chained, I never felt like I could get my stick tight enough and even had a slip that scared me partly because of that. I added a ratchet to mine but I do hate the noise and weight. Your tip on turning the stick sideways against the tree when finding the daisy chain is going to be a real life saver!! That’s a hot tip!
I got the same ones that Daisy chain strap that it came with is a pain in the ass I would highly recommend buying some rope and making the rope mod. It's the fastest and easiest weightless quiet way an gets it tight to the tree right where u put the stick for the most part
Great review Dave. I’ve always used climbing stands. Never used these ladders before.
There are definitely a ton of options out there nowadays. Thanks for watching Rande! I appreciate it 👍
A great comparison of 3 different stick attachment methods. I have the Muddy Pro sticks with the rope cleat system which I use. But I I had to chose another system I'd chose the 8mm rope with versa button.
Thanks for watching! The cleat system is another great option. Easy to use and fast 👍
This is all new to me Dave, interesting to see what can be done. 💯❤👍
Thanks for watching! It’s really appreciated 👍
Still not got any climber sticks, those and a saddle are the two things I’d really like to have by next year. Like THE HUNTING FARMER I tried to make a saddle but it cuts the blood off to both my legs after 5 minutes it stops hurting cause ya go numb lol. Thanks for more good information Dave. God bless 👍🇺🇸
Thanks Joel! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment 👍
Just picked up a 4 pack of the helium minis on midway usa (on sale for 99$)! Wanted to let you know that they come with versa straps instead of the cambuckle!!! My mind was blown when I opened the box. Saved me money on mods!
That’s awesome! Saved you some time and money (not to mention weight). Thanks for watching and for the update 👍
Hey Dave .. This is all new to me but I like learning about hunting accessories etc ..
Thanks for watching Dan! It’s appreciated 👍
great comparison Dave, not having ever used a climber i would have thought the strap would have been the best.
Thanks for watching Joey! I appreciate it 👍
Excellent commentary from you Dave
Thanks for watching! It’s appreciated 👍

Thanks. I just bought some of those helium sticks.
They’re a great option! Thanks for watching 👍
Beautiful share my friend! Fantastic video, amazing talks.
Happy every day to you!
Thanks for watching 👍
Great review and video!
Thanks for watching Todd. I appreciate it 👍
Had no idea, an interesting video Dave !
Thanks for watching Bubba! I always appreciate it 👍
I’ve been using the full length hawk helium sticks scene I’ve been saddle hunting 3years now. I’ve used all 3 attachments. Daisy chain probably my favorite. I cut 1 down to 17 inches this year for 1 sticking. Im using the 8 mm rope for that
Thanks for watching! How are you liking one sticking? I see your getting some tree time….I’m jealous 😁
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial i really like 1 sticking. But it took some time to get it down lol. Wasn’t sure I liked it after the first few times. I’ll probably get a different stick for next year. Might make a video of it just get used to it first
Great video, if I can add a method to this for the DIY crowd. Add Cam cleats (rope anchor) and amsteel rope is the fastest and most secure way I’ve found. It absolutely locks the step to the tree, and when your taking it off the tree you just pull the rope out of the cleat. Just make sure you get cleats that have 400 pound breaking weight. Just mount the cleat below the exist connection point for the rope.
Thanks for watching! That’s on my to-do list! Which brand cleat did you use? Did you use 3/16 amsteel? Full bury?
Nice review, Dave.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment 👍
Sounds great buddy 👍
Thanks for watching 👍
Hello my friend! Thank you for a very interesting product introduction! It's wonderful! !! Thank you for sharing! Have a nice day!
Thanks for watching! I appreciate it 👍
My Heliums came with a daisy chain style strap. I personally would like the alligator clip style more than the ones I got lol.
Awesome man!!
Thanks for watching 👍
Hunting on public land, I see straps really easily. The amsteel is less visible. Positive, if you don't want someone pimping your stand location, a negative if you lose the way to your stand and are trying to find it... First I've heard of this rope. Gonna look it up. Good video like the thoughts.
Thanks for watching! I appreciate it 👍
Really like your videos thanks for putting them out! Is there a specific versa button that works on the sticks I have some on the way and like the rope method just want the right button.
I ordered the Lone Wolf buttons from their website. They worked well with my 8mm rope 👍
Great video! Thanks! I just got the Hawk Helium's and they came with daisy chain straps. What is your opinion on those?
Thanks for watching! The daisy chain straps save weight versus the buckle straps. 👍
Thank You. Just starting the climbing stick journey with the HH minis. Where do you get that Versa Button?
Thanks for watching! I ordered the buttons from the Lone Wolf website
Great video! Thanks! Two questions. Do you have a link to a video that explains how to make the daisy chain? Secondly, can I hang my predator platform with a daisy chain? Thanks!
Here are two I recommend
ruclips.net/video/9chmcHi3qNc/видео.html
ruclips.net/video/nGK2Sl5xKNo/видео.html
People do use the daisy chain for the platform but I don’t.
Exactly the video I was looking for . Can I use a sintch knot with the Amstel? What do you think? Thanks
Thanks for watching. I would be leary of a cinch a knot but I’m also not a knot expert 😜
great video, we only use ladder stands
Thanks for watching. Nothing wrong with ladder stand (as your son proved again last year) 😁
Some good information. How high can you climb with this system?
Thanks for watching. I usually hunt at 15’ to 18’ 👍
Big like 👍 11 and subscribed! Awesome video and channel!
Thanks for watching and for your support. It’s appreciated 👍
I ordered some xop straps with loops my helium came with no buckle just a strap never felt quite right
Thanks for watching! I appreciate it 👍
Could you do a rope mod using amsteel rather than the static climbing rope? I have the Hawk Helium 20" with the factory daisy chain straps and looking to switch to a rope mod.
You could use amsteel daisy chain but the amsteel won’t work to simply wrap it around the versa button like you can do with rope because it won’t pinch tight on itself
I bought a 4 stick set of helium Hawks and the very first time I stacked them and tried to pull them apart I broke the male ends off of the stick don't know if I'm a fan of their stacking abilities
Thanks for watching. They did have trouble with some of their shipments. There are videos online about how to trim the plastic pieces. If your’s broke hopefully customer service will make it right 👍
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial it's like the female button is too hard of plastic
I was looking to get a few I have the luxury of leaving everything in woods my stands never come down so weight isn't a concern
Thanks for watching! They are good sticks 👍
The hawk minis come with daisy chain straps now btw
Thanks for the information 👍
Yes sir were do get them different buttons at
I ordered mine off the Lone Wolf website
Thanks
I picked up the Run & Gun Helium Ultra-Light hang on treestand and 4 pack of 20" Helium sticks for $209 from Midway. The sticks came from the factory with daisy chain stitched versa straps (exactly like the Tethrd ones) with shock cord loops at the ends. I was surprised because I was expecting straps with buckles. I actually like the straps better than my amsteel whoopsie daisys! They're super light, store on the sticks well, and grip the tree without a lot of sag. If the hole on the strap doesn't line up with the versa button, I give it a few twists and I'm good to go. Anyone else getting daisy chain style straps instead of plain straps with buckles from the factory from Hawk?
Thanks for watching! That’s interesting. I hadn’t heard any coming from the factory with amsteel. I’ll be interested to hear if others have had the same experience.
@@HuntingFarmerOfficialEnjoyed your video. The sticks didn't come with amsteel, but light daisy chain straps that resemble the look of the Tethrd versa straps. Not sure of the material. They weigh 1.8oz each. I already owned the amsteel whoopsie daisys (1oz each), but they sag alot more than the straps with only saving 3.2 oz total.
@@zulu5oscar765 sorry, now o understand what you mean. That must be the newest style! So there’s no buckle at all, just the strap with loops all along it?
@@HuntingFarmerOfficialNo worries...yep, just daisy chain straps, they work well though. I don't know if that's what people are getting if they just buy the sticks now. They may just come with the treestand combo. But for $209...4 sticks and a light hang on with a well padded seat, can't beat it! Good luck hunting this year. Thanks again for the video.
@@zulu5oscar765 I just bought the 4 pack helium Stix and they came with the daisy chain style strap.
I’m confused
Why not just use the 20” ones instead of all the videos on how to make the 30” ones 22” I don’t see why all the work and risk
Please explain
Sorry for the confusion. When I modified the 30” sticks, they were the only ones available. Hawk did not offer the 20” option until a year or two later. 👍
Ok that makes sense!
Lol sorry great video
Just saw so many doing it I was missing the two year late thing ha ha
Thanks for taking the time to reply
Good luck
Happy thanksgiving
@@glennnielsen2508 nothing wrong with asking questions! Happy Thanksgiving to you also. Thanks again for taking the time to watch my video 👍
When is your bow season?
Our season opens Oct 2nd 👍
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial Oh wow! Okay I'll make sure to keep updated!!
Amsteel will cause kick out. Even tight.
Thanks for watching. I’ve never experienced that. Being tight is key IMO. My mini’s have been solid even with amsteel 👍
I know you love those Stix but being disabled and fat, I don't think they'd be a good fit for me. Great points though for securing them.
Haha. That’s why there are many different options including ground blinds 😁👍. Thanks for watching
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial Very true Dave, very true. As I said I am disabled, so I have hunted out of blinds for the past 7 years. I changed my mindset recently and am now getting back into the aerial assault again. Lol I rifle hunt from a box blind still but I got ladder stands now that I've customized some for me!! I love it!! I feel so alive being up in the air and free to see oh so much more hunting again!!
Great video but maybe try to kill that way overused “uhh”.
Thanks for watching! If I could make myself quit that whole filming I would!!! I’ll keep working on retraining my brain 😜
