if you are running a oval track then you run your out side firm and your inside soft giving the buggy a set up that will let you run faster with less body roll
you were wrong on the shock set up for running woops I race on woops and I run the front firm and the back shocks soft . there is a mechanical reason I do it . ok so when your front hits a woop you want it to pop up and then have the rear on soft so that it absorbs the woop and keeps you more level . if your rear was on firm then that back would pop up a second or so after the front has all ready headed down thus giving you what is called bucking and when i do jumps, I do the front firm and the rear on medium . I dont know if that made sense to any one but it works I beat more powerful buggy's because they have to slow down more on the woops .
Nice reviews Ben. Only things I disagree with is I thought my RMAX4 LE rode smoother than the RMAX2 I demo'd and I attribute this to the longer wheelbase, which also makes up for the less suspension travel in some crawling situations as well. Also your rear aftermarket seat eliminates the storage space present between the seats in a stock RMAX4. You can fit 2 packouts between the seats stock and actually 4 if you really needed the storage space if you stack them. If you don't have the OEM add-on 2nd battery, heater, or subwoofer, there's a good amount of space under the driver's seat as well.
I agree sometimes a longer wheelbase will help smooth out the ride, I guess the trails I've been on just didn't do it for me lol. I intend to change the seats in my RMAX 4LE. The seats I have now just aren't correct for it and I rushed them in before a better solution was available.
Hey Ben great info! I’m planning on purchasing a Rmax 4 and will be mostly rock crawling with it in Colorado. Will 32” tires rub on the rear? And or have you had any issues with yours?
Good morning Ben. Great video. Very informative. I have the Rmax4 -2021. Can you reply with the link or info on the mounted gas cans on the rear bar?-Thanks!
This was very informative! I’m debating between these 2 RMAXs and an X2 1000. I leaned a lot watching this.
I'm glad you found it helpful.

The wheel base is the same just body is 11 inches longer on max 4
@randyjedneak8698 no. There is a 3 inch wheel base difference
yea you seats seem to be a mistake and I have found after market seat heaters for my RMAX 2 seater
Nice cars in the background. Know some of them what's in your whole collection
I have a fetish for modern GM muscle cars and some Japanese sports cars. Check out my channel for all of them.

My 32" BFG tires barely rub on on my RMAX 4LE as seen towards the end of this video.
