    I have a 2021 LE it's a great machine. I have back issues and cannot drive in some machines without being in pain. It has lots of power and the majority of the time I use trail mode, Crawl I use for loading on a trailer
    ,climbing steep grades and crossing my lawn. Sport mode on fire roads ect...the response can be scary. Also in sport mode no engine breaking. A group of us crossed NFLD last year it worked great.
    Downside of things in Canada it next to impossible to purchase the Maxis Carnage tires unless purchased from Yamaha for $600 per tire. The drive side during rain the water drips off the roof on to your leg. It’s hard to get after market parts for the RMAX in Canada. Keep this in mine before you purchase.

      Buy a hard pack tire. I have 7000 miles on my Tusk Terrabites on my RMAX4. I have 8500 miles total, 49% of that on hard pack/pavement and zero issues. Just make sure you run stock and not low tire pressure when on pavement.

    • @travistravis8954
      @travistravis8954 Год назад

      I need to go test drive one. How is the heat in the back? I hear they are real loud, but not sure what people that say that are comparing that to. I have had can am and Polaris and didn’t think either of those were horrible.

    • @MassiveOverkill
      @MassiveOverkill Год назад

      @@travistravis8954 heat in the back isn't an issue with just a front windshield and normal tral speeds. Full cab enclosure and/or super slow below 10 MPH extended rides (I don't know who does this but apparently some do) it can build up. Weller Racing tune helps cool things down via lower cooling fan activation and longer fan cycle along with richening up the fuel mixture, cooling down the exhaust, which runs lean by default for emissions purposes.

    I had a 2021 Rmax 4 for about a year. I installed a glass windshield with power wipers , roof , inferno heater, larger wheels and tires and a soft full enclosure. Loved the drivetrain and 4wd system and decent power. I ride mostly in the fall and winter in central Pennsylvania and it was ok with the accessories I installed. I rode my buddy’s Polaris Ranger 4 door northstar with ride command and sold my Rmax within a week and bought a 2 door Ranger northstar with ride command , and they are totally different machines. Ranger isn’t even remotely close to the Rmax in drivetrain and 4wd system and power. Rmax isn’t even remotely close to the Ranger in comfort due to factory roll down windows , heat and a/c, wipers, and the BEST gps system in any SxS (Ride Command) and overall utility and 1wd. I’ve had my Ranger for a year and a half and I’ve had zero issues and drive my Ranger like it’s a sport SxS.

    Well, you had me all excited for an RMAX, until I seen the price. I've started my family UTV research journey and I can get a Teryx-4 right now for $15k whereas a base model RMAX4 is $24k and over $30k for all the bells and whistles. That's still competitive in the end but is it really worth $10k+ extra? You tell me? It’s not just about fit. The Rmax has the sliding seat mechanism that’s primitive in my opinion. There’s better options. A Teryx gets you way more rear seat room and a box that’s separate from the rear seating area. There’s far more foot room in a Teryx, bigger entry point when door is open and more leg room to. Anyone who says they’re 6’4” and fit comfortably in an Rmax isn’t telling the truth. The Yamaha is a great machine, no doubt, but they need to re-think the rear seat / cargo box configuration. Then I’d say it’s the best option for a 4 person short wheelbase machine.

      @@MattSmith-vl8zpExcellent choice. Mines been bulletproof for nearly 3000 miles already. Nothing but oil changes and grease. I convinced 2 other buddies to get a Teryx 4 and they to have had 0 issues. The rear seats are far better then an Rmax or a Honda Pioneer. Sure they’re not as fast, don’t have as much travel, may be a little on the loud side but the price, 3 year warranty, reliability, and comfort with 4 on board made buying one a no brainer!

      @@district12tribute28 i guess you're right. Except the rzr will beat it in a straight line race, in a race over whoops, in suspension travel, in riders legroom front and rear, and storage capacity in a 4 seat configuration. The RMax does have the Rzr beat in price though and in a 2 seat configuration the Rmax has more storage than the rzr. Even if you compare it to the General it's the same deal. Rmax is way overpriced for no good reason.

      Some people are more interested in the Sport side of a Sport Utility vehicle and less about being able to haul a load of horse manure, which is what the Pioneer 'trail' is better-suited at doing. This is why you NEVER see the mostly-utility Pioneer 1000 pitted against the RMAX.
