I would love longer videos. Like imagine an hour long video of just benji walking around doing plant stuff and talking, would love!!!
Me too!
Am from India. At least lot of Plants I have. But the way of presentation is unique
The plant at 9:13 is sold as Philodendron sp. 'Papua New Guinea', ADA produces it in tissue culture under their jungle plants line but I'm not sure if its available outside of Japan. Ive also heard that its actually an Epipremnum.
It's hard to find English language videos of the ADA Lab stuff, so thanks for the tour!
To me it looks like a green epipremnum amplissimum or falcifolium
Been trying to find it in the US, I don't think it's showed up here yet.
looks very similar to epipremnum amplissum without silver streaking. Makes sense to use it in an aquarium because Pothos grow great anywhere with enough nutrients, light, and structural support. If you can’t get philodendron New Guinea, amplissum would be a good alternative. I have one and it’s super easy to care for and grows like a weed. Really does like to climb though.
I'm from Brazil and i'd like to say how your videos inspered me and make me feel lighter
same here
Me too!!!
wishing you a very good day🥳
I'm from Brazil, too
Amo muito
i don’t comment often but i’m constantly watching. i loved the slow pace of the video and how you captured the culture. very relaxing and inspirational 🪴
I’m just here because his face is glowing.
Hi! Benji, I am so happy that you introduce Japanese plants shop and our love of nature. I came from Japan to LA, who is struggling with growing some of the trees and plants naturally grown in Japan. My dream is to successfully decorate my house with these plants and see you to introduce them ! With lots of love !
It’s really cool to see young people wonder around appreciating plants instead of obsessing over tech gadgets. Keep it up, this is very much needed.
Yes indeed
What an absolute treat it is to see inside of these amazing shops! I've watched a few RUclipsrs who have shown some of them from the outside and I've paused and tried to see inside so desperately! I'm in love with the unique plants and ways of displaying them in Japan, a true art form. Those first two shops and that kokedama brachychiton are just so beautiful. Inspiring 🌟🌱
I hope you had a good time and got some nice inspirations in Japan. I am a Japanese and always enjoy your videos very much. I was glad you visited the ACTUS shop in Kyoto that I recommended. I felt a little weired you were in the shop where I used to be though. Thank you for sharing your experience in Japan.
I love all of your content but for me, what takes the cake are your travel vlogs. There’s something so extra comforting about them and how you film and edit when doing these types of videos that is sooo enjoyable to watch. I actually still watch your vietnam vlogs all the time 😅 can’t wait for whatever you decide to share with us nexttt🤍
This is incredible, I can't believe how awesome these stores are. The ones I see here all feel so quaint in comparison and they barely have ¼ as many types of plants.
Love the video, I visited ADA Lab recently and was mindblown on how clean it was. The plant at 9:13 is called Philodendron sp. Papua New Guinea by ADA, but more accurately it’s called Epipremnum amplissimum.
Ugh the display plant and pot choices in Toky is just absolute genius.. SO GOOD.
Welcome to Japan. I'm glad that you are here! I didn't know that we have nice shops in Kyoto and Tokyo. Thank you for sharing!
Such beautiful plant shops . I love their concept of plants as art. I’ve often dreamed of having a boutique shop that had beautifully designed plant arrangements and a little coffee shop inside as well. We have one breakfast place that has an inner courtyard filled with plants all around , and it’s very nice to have a table there but it still doesn’t come close to the botanical artistry that you showed us in Japan .
Now I know what to research . I would like to create something as stunning as that tree growing in a moss ball on a rock!
The plants style decor in Japan is amazing aesthetics! I love it!
So inspiring! I have loads of house plants here in the UK. But I'm also a ceramist... I'd so love to go to Japan and see all the amazing pots
11:16 That's SO cool, such a good idea to make it look like a lab, with even sellers dressed like scientists, that's genius !
The places you went to are AMAZING. Well wishes for Chris. Hope he feels better soon so he can enjoy these places with you.
So cool to visit plant stores in Japan! I'm looking over at my ficus Audrey and thinking, "I can bend you?" Wow..those look so beautiful that way. And I was completely hypnotized by that ADA lab place.
I felt how you wanted all the plants to take it with you, specially the aquarium shop had you in awe , how much you love aquarium and plants it's all about the feels in this video .
💗💗💗 love from Arunachal Pradesh
This is incredible Benji. Thanks for taking the time for us!
I absolutely love this video. Japan displays their plants so beautifully. Thank you for sharing
all the stores/exhibits were so relaxing, i love how each of them are designed it's incredible
Thank you so much for bringing japanese esthetics. Amazing! I'm getting inspired already. Thank you and please send us more videos like this
Thank you for all the beautifull inspiration i would not have access to otherwise without your video ^-^ I am planning on starting my very first terrarium in a few months so i am just amazed with how many possibilities there are, i would even say it's a bit overwhelming. Your vlogs are great
Thanks for showing the stores Benji… amazing! The aesthetic and trend is definitely still modern, minimalist and organic. The restraint and collection are so cohesive. Very quiet luxury indeed.
What a great video. Thank you for taking us into these beautiful Japanese plant shops. I love the thoughtful way everything is displayed!
i started watching your channel last summer and i've revisited this summer, and i will every summer. your videos make me feel calm even though i have so much going on. thank you benji thank you chris
Gorgeous! Would love to see your haul from Japan!!
OMG Benji! What a dreamland! Looking forward to visit these places too soon. Thanks for this relaxing vlog. ❤
I started with succulents and cacti many years ago and fell into tropicals in 2019 and just totally got obsessed during Covid, and recently have been getting really pulled back into succulents and cacti. The aesthetic of the gymocalycium in the ceramics in some of these shops is just soo good. Thanks for sharing!
Hello from Paris, France. Thought I was a plant lover but after seeing this vid, I can tell I"m just an amateur. Those ponds with plant are just like absolutely fantastic, as if they were just took off a primitive forest in Africa or Colombia. Thanks so much for the tour. Suscribded to your channel and can't wait to see others of your vids. So inspiring! Thanks so much
OMG I got super excited when I saw you did a ADA lab tour! So beautiful! I really want to visit Tokyo to go to Sumida Aquarium as well because of Takisha Amano’s Nature Aquascape tanks .. would be amazing!
I believe the plant at at 7:10 is a Bird's Nest fern called Cobra, rare to find and gorgeous! Love your videos Benji
We have lot of cobra fern here in the Philippines,
So happy to see such amazing plant content! I wish I could go to Japan and buy it all :0
I love all the stores! The variety of planting types. Please do more of these when you travel if you can!
Thank you so much for this video, Benji. I love it so much! It was nice to hear your excitement :') Glad to see you had a nice trip.
Amazing video. Thanks for taking us on tour with your. You have inspired me with my plants.
Hi 👋 Benji. I agree the first plant store was really nice. And well organized. I was surprised to know they sell furniture too.
Everything in Japan is so perfect, even the plant jobs. What a beautiful culture i wish i can revisit in the near future. What a beautiful shop.
I loved the staghorn on the shield which I think would look awesome in my house. You have made me really appreciate their beauty so that may have to have
Looks so nice
Hope chris is feeling better
japan and bossa nova is an unbeaten combo
I would really like more videos like this. please film as much as you can. Your style is very motivating and pleasing.

Woah, these stores are crazy inspiring. I hope your concepts elevate because of this experience
Thank you for this amazing tour. I will be going to Japan soon and tempted to visit these plant shops but it would be torture not to be able to take any plants home!
this is definitely giving me ~feelings~, im moving into a new space and desperately needed this inspo!
dreaming of all of the beautiful ceramics and wonky plant shapes 🌿🎶😊
Auspiciously cool shops indeed and inspirational ❤
Thank you very much for sharing all your experience in Japan. Will be able to get a lot of ideas on how to apply in my corner.
What a lovely and interesting vlog. Thank you.
Welcome to Japan!! ようこそ〜!
These places are gorgeous! Casa is also one of my favourite houseware/lifestyle magazine:)
Loved your video as always! And yes as some viewers say longer videos please and perhaps more often? That would be AWESOME! Thankyou!
Love you guys!!
❤😁🐾🌿 3:12
You can find the "lids" for the round tall glass jars by buying petri dishes and turning them upside down. The dishes can be bought in many different sizes.
Beautiful plants and displays, thanks for sharing 👍
Everything is beautiful there!!! My husband had friends there, and stayed for 2 months to Surf🏄♂️those stores totally have your vibe!!! Unique styles🤗🌱💚Omg the Aquariums are unbelievable 🤗😍
What an excellent presentation thank you I loved the Japanese shops.
Thank you, dear, what you say is so cool. I like emotions and useful information... and it’s so interesting to watch, as if you were walking with a friend. you show so many interesting plants and lifestyle, this is the case when I want to watch on the big screen
Me, a Japanese living Japan, watching this video and wanting to go to Japan. 💀
I'm so jealous watching this video. JiaHao and benji just visiting all these shops, so beautiful ❤️
You’re right about SoCal, our climate being slightly too dry for kokedama… true, but it depends what you put in it. If it’s something thirsty, like a begonia, fern, or something tropical, they likely can’t be hanging as a kokedama, too much evaporation… instead, you have to maybe display them strategically on a tray of pebbles w water, elevated slightly, almost “semi hydro” in a sense; the moss wicks up the moisture…
But anyway, my most successful Kokedama, depending on the species, have been in indirect bright light or partial shade - the species I’ve had thrive in it have been Peperomia, smaller bromeliads (Neoregelia, Guzmania), Phaelanopsis & Oncidium orchids, Rhipsalis, Schlumbergera (Xmas cactus), Hatiora (bottle cactus), Disocactus (hanging rat tail) & generally most types of jungle cacti. The environment, the drainage and water retention is great for them. Not to forget, hanging type succulents are a great kokedama choice for SoCal, or anywhere….I’ve done them all in kokedama 😎 Crassula perforata and its many hybrids are good, Sedums, donkey tail, surprisingly, most succulents don’t want hot
sun either, and can burn 😝
i am a fan of your channel. Thank you for coming to Japan!
loved this
Wow! Paradise!
You make me feel like life is worth living
9:50 the small beads in the water sprayers is Deionization resin. Also sometimes called ion-exchange resin or water softening resin. It's pretty easily obtained.
Great video!! I particularly liked the ADA gallery but they were all spectacular.
Thanks for sharing. I started to have indoor plants 2 years ago.❤ your videos about plants.
Can you please share how to make a DIY Greenhouse like what your friend have using IKEA glass cabinet, thanks.
This was so lovely, Benji!
My phrasing of this might be confusing, but what ADA lab is to Benji is what Benji's home is to us.
They make everything look so artistic ❤❤❤. This is my goal, to have a few but meaningful pieces.
❤️ gave me so many ideas
Fantastic ! Thank you so much. So comprehensive.
I absolutley love your video❤ Thank you for sharing those beautiful places and I really want to vist them.
Loved this one sooo much...❤❤
*adds plant shops in Kyoto to list of places to go* My great grandmother is from Kyoto. She and my grandmother came to America when my grandmother was 5. I plan on taking a trip there with my sister nxt year.
Stunning...would love to see this in person...thank you
I love watching your videos, they are very calm and pleasant to watch. Could you share a playlist of music that you use in videos ?
💚💚💚
Can't wait for a haul video!
These are as lovely as ever ❤
So cool those trees i love when the trunk is kinda wavy giving a unique look. I would love to have a few in my home as statement pieces.
Love it !
Really enjoy the tour. 💖
so cool!!!
The ADA tour is inspiring me to set up, my own store. I've become too impatient and ambitious to just buy parts and plants, operating a store seems more lucrative.
First time seeing young men like you and your friend, so interested in plants..it was very pleasant and impressive to watch. Thank you🙏
I watch your videos all the time.
Please come visit Japan again.
youre plant knowledge amazes me. how were you able to learn all of them? your videos have such a nice relaxing vibe.. I'm in awe
Beautiful, I really want to try terrariums now!
Love these shops ! so beautiful
Benji love your videos yaa..!! It's calm and lots of love from Nepal 🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵.
Take care..!!
im always eating up everything you put out cause it’s such a breath of fresh air in comparison to so much of this fast paced, attention grabbing content that’s literally everywhere rn. your calmness really helps my anxiety when i just need 2 relax or fall asleep so i can’t thank u enough ,, p.s i saw in another video you commented that ur a ucsc alumni & no wonder, it’s so beautiful !!! go banana slugs
Amazing video I wish I could like it twice 🎉 🍃
Thanks for sharing. LOVE IT!!!!!
I love all the cool ferns!! I live in Colorado and they don’t do well here. Great video 💚
