What we get in return? They now want to build a mini cop city zone and price us out to gentrified our community, because white people no longer want to live on the outskirts. He said he has lost customers and received a lot of angry phone messages. With Byron Donalds and Ben Carson there, how would he not know it was a pro-Trump event?

I was very embarrassed as for both men. It was possible the worst performance from two White highly privileged men I have ever seen. These two are the best America has to offer, may God help us. Hell, I could have done that. One Cat wad pulling facts from thin air and the other couldn't really close it out. Struggling at the beginning and seem to get things together near the end. I personally never wanted the debate between the two. I didn't think it would be good or balanced. We watched a 34 count felon calling someone's adult son a felon never mentioning that there's a difference between 3 felonies being a lot less than 34. Trump said he called veterans suckers and losers; too many of us watched him say it and we've seen repeats and replays repeatedly.
I so loudly agree with your WTH comment. Yes President Biden froze, we all have, when I've a moment like that I say if it comes back, I will finish my sentence, if it doesn't oh well.
I don't know what happened with President Biden from one day to the next. I watched some of first night's debate including the frozen moment very glad that Pres Biden recovered and was able to continue. But the next day's rally shocked me. President Biden was a different person, encouraging, energized, looking very well rested.
I wondered if we were being punked.
Additionally, I spoke to one very dear to me, we've been friends since the early 90s, she's a few years older who has always voted Republican. I didn't question how she planned to vote this time, but I was stunned when she said she definitely didn't want President Biden, nor did she want Trump, but voting republican it looked like she was going to have to vote for Trump anyway. I mentioned Project 2025; she hasn't heard of it until I mentioned it.

As someone who hasn't been able to get through most political debates because of the chaos, I'm not sure what the expectation or trend is. I would assume it is not the job of the moderator to fact check, but for the opponent to fact check each other. The moderator is supposed to make sure they answer the question and control the two on stage from going over their time. I think I prefer that, because it guards against unconscious bias.
