Agree, keeping it smaller makes a huge difference in actually carrying and using. I have the 24G, 40G, 50G and Samyang 75mm. Super lightweight and compact.
I like my sony FE 35mm F1.8. It is a bit pricer, and slightly bigger. But nothing crazy. Still fits in all the same smaller bags. But the quality is amazing!
Right now my exams are going on, but I promise, when they're over, I'll go out everywhere with my camera, and shoot to my heart's content. You gave me the inspiration!
this video is inspiring! I bought an a7iv along with a 40mm F2.5 G lens thru B&H as a everyday carry lens. I want to build a habit first before buying bigger Zoom or prime lenses
great choice! I started with the heavy 24-70 and now I want to take the 40mm 2.5 for every day .. a big body camera brakes creativity! At least before you haven't gotten into a solid habit
Great stuff! Always good to be reminded how to keep things simple so it doesn't interfere with your creativity, all we need is a camera and a lens to create contents and create memories. I am running my A7R4 with 35mm f2.8 zeiss.
Great question! I honestly used to be a film sim guy myself, but I found some film presets for lightroom that give me relatively similar results with just a click! It's an extra step, but worth it in my opinion. I also found myself depending heavily on the film "simulation" to add character vs my images being something I created organically, and wanted to step away from that. I am bad with color science and want to get better at it with more practice.
I have both and the 35mm has the greater reputation and is a real bargain. Only real downside to non oem lenses is the autofocus may not be quite as swift or accurate but with care I doubt you'd know unless shooting sports/action..
Nice video and Info, I shoot with the Sony a7riv with 35mm F1.8, Sony 50mm F1.8, Sony 85mm F1.8 Along with the Sony a7iv :) I take my gear everywhere because I never know what I would find when I go to Work, for a drive around town or a Long walk :)
Hit the nail on the head with it being expensive, which is why I don’t have a bunch of other camera bodies to supplement for my travels. I bought the camera and lenses I needed for income, and bought this cheap lens for fun. Nothing more to it.
the rokinon/samyang lenses are amazing for the price! i got a 16/35/75 and i love them! been doing this for 10+ years and i wouldnt buy a G master at all
Great lenses are an investment they make the pictures and will hold their value better than the cameras buy once cry once take care of them and they’ll last the rest of your life you’ll never regret buying great lenses
Agreed when it comes to more serious work. This is more about a conveniently styled package (not the lens) for people who need or want to increase their daily reps. Practice makes perfect. 👍🏼
Agreed. People get obsessed with the gear and not the technique. The gym equipment isn’t giving you the gains - but showing up daily will.
wise words.
How many pictures is considered good reps?
@@ramblr5900 at least 37 each composition. You should fill up a 1TB sd card each time out.
@@NotJGonzo can you do a video on how to organize those 1TB of Compositions? Whats the process thats a a TON of photos to sort , filter, delete.

Heck yeah! And that extra light at 1.8 is nice, too. As long as it works for you. That’s the ultimate goal.

Heck yeah! Good luck with your exams. 🤓
Thanks just bought myself a Sony A7IV, glad I found your video before my beginning:)
Immediately hit the like button when you said “yea go cross the fucking street”! 😂🙌
We are people of fine taste, I see. 🤣🏃♂
This. This is the best photo video I have seen in a while! More please 🙏🏻
great point about taking your camera as many places as you can then you'll get good shots

Such an awesome lens! Glad you found something that works for you. Stay consistent, give yourself SOME breaks, and keep having fun.

Great video, great camera and the lens looks great also from them pictures....looking forward to more video's with the A74 :)

hi I just bought a7IV body. Do have recommendation for one lens video and pictures?
great info!! good video for real , im about to buy a sony a7 IV so i was glad to see a set up that is small enough to take everywhere.
LA county is so pretty when it rains
Great video, and I appreciate the honest thoughts on the lens choice.
going from fujifilm to sony, do you miss having film simulations? I have the urge to switch to sony, but I love using film sims.

Really dope video. I have the Samyang 24mm for my a7iv and I really like it. I might pick up the 35mm. Love your editing. Very dope look

Where in the mountains did you to take those pics. They came out extremely well. I see your in LA county. Same here.

Ah I'm late. Thanks for the content. Great moves, keep it up.
A7iv is kind of expensive to be just slapping on one cheap lens? A7 III not good enough? I like A7S for travelling light with just one lens..

I’d take/shoot a GM lens if I received it as a gift, but I have zero interest in purchasing one outright! Alllll about using what is accessible.
if the helios 44-2 came in 35mm, it would probably live on my camera forever
What camera do you film with? Do you have two a7Riv cameras? I shoot with an a7Riiia and film with an a6500.
did you vlog on your fuji?
All iPhone 14 Pro 🤟🏼
@@NotJGonzo no way . i'm still on the iphone 8plus they have come a long way
“Incorrectly differ” 😅😂😂

Good talk and thoughts

EOS M3 x 22mm f2 =
Ignoring the crop sensor, that’s a really solid setup! Especially the price point. Canon shooters should check this out 😉
@@NotJGonzo crop is alright for a small camera: daily, travel, street, lifestyle - does it all well enough
Why not the Zeiss 35/2.8
Similar lens but 40% cheaper
35mm or 50 mm ? And why
Allllll completely depends on what you’re using it for, but without context, I like a 35 for its versatility if I only was able to have one lens.

evryday like a drugs now for me
😂😂😂do I have to cross…😅
CROSS THE STREET 😂
It's image quality and beautiful rendering that make me want to take a lens out shooting on my camera. Stylish has nothing to do with it.
