I have a 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.3L with 150K miles on it and it's intermittently smoking. For some reason the only time I can see any smoke is when I pull out from a red light or stop sign, but it has to be after coming to a quick stop, like from going 60mph on the 4 lane and the red-light changes in front of you kind of stop. Then when I pull out from the red light, I can look back and there's a huge push of smoke. The first thing I did to solve this is, I replaced both valve covers with updated valve covers, but that didn't fix it. My catalytic converter went bad on the driver side, so I had all 3 replaced, muffler & pipes. After replacing the whole exhaust seems like it made it worse that's when I started seeing the big puff of smoke at a stop sign or red light. The truck actually runs good, but I'd like to fix this problem before something else messes up. What do you think the problem is?
Find tool and air hose on ebay. Don't get cheap one. Different seal for intake and exhaust.
you didn't link the spring compressor in the description... :(
I have to change my valve guides again on #operationls

Instead of using compressed air to hold valve up can I just put piston all the way up

Link for the upgraded seals too!
What the part number on that tool bro
