Thanks. Lots of trial and error. Hard to give a tutorial as it has so much to do with the lights and where they’re placed. As well as the lights in the background. Even the colour grading is played with each time. Maybe I’ll do a general tutorial showing how I get the look. 👍🏻

I just bought this mic and I have a canon M50, it might sound like a silly question but does it automatically turn on after you plug it into camera because I’m pretty sure it doesn’t have an on/off button, just wanna know if when I press record it’s on! Thank you! ☺️

Yes. As long as its plugged in, the camera will detect an external mic. The mic runs off the cameras power. Turns on and off with the camera.

Hello Sir. Great reviews! If you would be so kind to answer a question: what would your recommendation be between the Boya MM-1, Moukey MCM-1 and the Comica VM-10ii. I want to buy 2 for a week-long fishing trip (to have one as a back-up, hence going budget). I'll be on a river and am looking for the best of the 3 in regards to wind noise and walking noise. I use a V30 Pro for indoors but I'd like something smaller and with less walking noise with the deadcat on. Thanks so much!

i havnt tried the Boya, so i can compare that one. But between the Comica and the Moukey Id probably go with the Comica. Mostely because I trust the brand more. The sound between the 2 is very comparable.

Hey! I bought this mic. But my shock mount won’t slide into my cameras hot shoe... is there a reason ? I been trying to unscrew the black part to get it to fit in but it doesn’t budge... I thought universal hotshoe meant it fits/slides into every camera

It's good. I use it for doing some vlogging stuff outside. I connect it both to my Canon M50 as well as with my GoPro Hero 7. For. the price its a very good little option.

@@Therealmambo no worries. having a wireless lav is gonna be great for anytime you aren't right in front of the camera, or if you are a bit further away. But I use this mic a fair bit. There are better shotguns out there but you'll have to pay 2 to 3 times the amount.

as long as the cameras have a mic input jack then they should work fine. And i wouldnt think they should show. I use this on a full frame with a 16mm lens and it doenst get in the shot.

I’m using an old Canon t3i with this mic and the hissing sound is aweful. I’ve lowered the manual gain on my camera and still has that white noise. Any solution? Thanks

Your test seems good, not too tinny nice over time to it. Where you using any spe6 setting in post or in cam with it?
Other video tests I've watched with this mic they always sound a quiet tinny

this is raw recording out of the camera. now it is possible that different cameras do different audio processing in them. But whenever we test a mic we try to do zero processing on the audio clip. Sometimes we do lower or rise the volume just to have it closer to the recording of our main mic.

its literally titled VLOGGING mic. So why would we test live music with a video for vlogging. plus recording with an actual camera will provide the best results for sound. Recording quality on a phone will depend on software and the phone. so that's not a good test. which is why its again tested on an actual camera.
