    What mic are you using?

    • @IvanSense85
      @IvanSense85 6 лет назад +3

      I bought such microphone and the sound of original camera microphone is much different. But when I plugged it to my iPhone 8 plus and 5s, I couldn't hear difference. And it doesn't matter what position switch is in.

    • @edwincorvera1156
      @edwincorvera1156 5 лет назад +1

      I think that might be an iPhone thing, i have a Pixel XL, and the microphone works on both modes camera and smartphone, but the camera mode gives a little more louder sound, but it does bring some interference

    There seems to be two versions of this mic: Comica CVM-V30 and Comica CVM-V30 LITE with the LITE version being without batteries. As they are about the same price I am wondering which sounds better or if they are equal.

    • @gregtoope

      Eliah Holiday I would definitely think the CVM-V30 would sound better then the Lite version. But I like the lite as I never have to worry about batteries. And for me the mic sounds great.

    If you are to make more directional "isolation" testing, how about several audio sources around and then having a spin? The test in "silent" room gives a picture of the room echos, but automatic levelling tries to filol in the silence ...

      I have a cheap light strip on the rear couch behind me shining a blue strip of light on the wall. Im using a standard room light that is on above me. And the 2 primary lights are Neewer LED light panels, which are about $100 a piece. One on the left and one on the right of me. Ill probably do a 'studio tour' once the room is complete. It's almost there.

Does the mic works connected to a pc? I am looking something to use both on the camera and while i am streaming. This question is the only thing keeping away from buying the mic but i dont find this answer anywhere lol. If you know this or can you test in on your own pc it will be awesome. Thanks!

    • @gregtoope
      @gregtoope  4 года назад +1

      I think that most computers (not all) really want a mic that can produce its own power as the 3.5mm mic jack on most computer cant push out much power to the mic. I would look at a mic that produces its own power (uses a battery). My thought is that would be a better option with a better chance of success.

    • @gregtoope
      @gregtoope  4 года назад +1

      and make sure that you get a mic that can be returned just in case it doesn't work.

    When plugged into the phone/camera, since it doesn't run on its own battery, does it drain the battery of the phone/camera? Also what's the sound like when outside?

    • @gregtoope

      doesn't seem to drain the battery much at all. And it sounds great outdoors. Putting a wind muff on it will help with any outdoor wind sound.

    No batteries needed means power draw from your camera. I dont think I'd like that.

    • @gregtoope
      @gregtoope  4 года назад +2

      id much rather have a very small draw from my camera versus having to carry extra batteries around. Or your mic running out of power half way through a shoot and you not realizing that the batteries have died. Or forgetting to turn the power on the mic and getting no audio. The amount of power that these mics use is minimal.
