When setting up your ristretto button are you going for the perfect 1:1 ratio? Brand new to the coffee scene in Australia, your videos are the bees knees. Thanks!
Just wondering what an example would be of the programming for an Expobar? I was taught the old school coffee way and I’m bringing myself up to speed with recipes etc. I used to program… 1.single ristretto 2. Double ris 3. Single shot 4. Double shot. I’m doing away with the single group handle and saw you only have two programmed buttons. So is one programmed to double ris and the the other double shot? Thanks so much, and if this is correct and your doing 1:2, say 20g dose to 40g yield, is the time for programming the double ris 30secs or 20seconds? Thanks so much
In short yes, but even in a medium traffic cafe this could be challenging if not a nightmare to operate. I work with a dual group Linea Pb which its copy and paste function is failed, it means you have to dial in EACH button separately, it's time consuming and inconsistent if not extra careful.
Yes you can, all machines have a master keypad, if you program this it will program the others. Then if you program the other key pass they will be different
The copy an paste may it be the issue, if on a PB a restrictor is blocked, which is very common, it can appear the function is not working. Get a tech to check the flow is the same buy water with time and volume. In a pb you can change to pulse, that’s easy to match them and choose the option, use group 1 setting.
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters might be true in general cases but the Pb I work with, its software is from the oldest straight upgrade to the newest OS, several glitches include volumetric setting in one group doesn’t count pre-infusion in(which make c&p to another group not working), but on paper everything seems fine, even the technician can’t tell what’s the actual problem🤷🏻♂️.
So are you wanting to know how to set it up? Or can it be set to a special button, every machine can have any shot programmed to any button. How you do this is a process different many machines
We like to start at 1 sec on and 1 sec off, then rest how much water goes thru the water at the 1st sec. If it does not flow thru you can increase this to 2 on and 1 off
Each model is a little different, if you hold the manual button on the left keypad the lights begin to flash, then you press each button to start and stop. That is in the older models with no led display. If it has a display, it harder and to much to write here.
I actually have the Zoe. The first two buttons on each group do pre-infusion.
Thanks for the great videos.
