i used to be addicted to buying perfumes am talking of edgars truworths skins cosmetics designer colognes r2000 or more each bottle but trust me whole year 2022 i never bought even one bottle!!! it starts in the mind!! I bought a brand new mercedes benz c180 latest model in 2015 and paid r7500 a month to wesbank and i paid it off in 2021 and i was so so so tempted to upgrade and get a 2022 merc. Trust me I said no!!!! whole 2022 I didnt have a car instalment I just pay R1800 insurance and r300 tracker and fuel. I REFUSE TO GO GET ANOTHER CAR INSTALLMENT!! So its very very possible to slow down on your spending and be disciplined enough to say no!!!
Impulsive shopping and instant gratification are the two things that’s hurts my pocket😢. Discipline and self control is what I am now working on, love the fact that you spoke about it today.
I can relate 😔😔 and the online shopping is not making it easy for me at all,I just can't control myself when it comes to buying,Iwl even use money for petrol 😔😭😭😭
Sometimes the thought of waiting seems hard but once you tell yourself not now, you are off to a right direction. I am happy to know that you are actively working on improving yourself ❤️💐💐
I don't know how I bumped into your channel but I love it. I am very disciplined with money. Maybe I do give in to my instant gratification sometimes, especially when I go to the shops. So I go there when it's a need and I hardly do online shopping. Trying to get my partner to be as disciplined as I am, pay his debt, invest and save.
Thank you for sharing. I've started last year to settle my debts and believe me it gives you a peace of mind. Learning to discipline myself has worked wonders. In a period of 8months I settled three loans, I'm now left with my car and credit card and planning to settle them by December 🙏. We can do this ladies ✊ (I know it's mostly us with these habits 😊) Thanks Jenn🤗
I am so committed to pay off my home loan this year. My goal was to finish it end August but have decided to sacrifice my bonus in March and pay it off. Thank you Jen for all your videos. I want to have my financial freedom back. I have been paying 3 big debts concurrently. Its been a long journey but I am proud of myself that the biggest debt is coming to an end .
Please let me know when you finish your debt so I can celebrate you here on the channel. You are doing amazing 🤩💐🥰 and you should be proud of yourself. Financial freedom is yours this year.
@@JennNxumalo I know that you dont give financial advice however we are now family here. So as previously said that I would like to pay off my Home Loan account in March I am a bit confused now whether I should pay it off as many personal finance gurus recommend to pay off all other debts except Home Loan because of the interest rate that is low. However in my case I owe less than R30k on my bond and less than R60k on my VAF. So which one you think I should tackle? If I pay off my Homeloan I will be able to release about R6k as I would still be paying for Home Owners Insurance of about R600. That R6k is what I wanted to channel to my emergency savings that I have started already. Your recommendation please?
This is insightful and iam glad that I've come to the right place at the right time. I just joined the family two days ago after being scammed for investing in the ponzi scheme. Yooh Jehova what was I doing? 😭😭 Iam now gone to square one🙆♀️! My goal for this year is to work towards clearing my debts. I struggling to sleep at night because iam longing for a financial freedom so bad. Believe me when I say iam emotionally exhausted. It's time to be intentional. It's time to be self disciplined. It's time to focus. Come rain or sunshine, by the end of this year two of my debts must be out of my way. 🤞🏼🤞🏼Iam getting myself a bulleted journal. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH😢😡
@@emeldasema9396 Sorry to hear about the scam that happened to you, you definitely in the right place here . We all hustle the right way. Looking forward to hear you saying positive words soon.
Ooh Jennifer you hit me at 10:00 I'm glad I found your channel after paying off the worst biggest loan to ever take. So now I get to learn from a clean slate. Thank you for these financial lessons my dear.
I like what you said about investing. If you wait until you have “more or enough” money, you will never start I think about when I started investing and it was small money but now it has built up to a lot of money and had I not started then I wouldn’t have been here right now That’s why I love the “start early narrative” because it doesn’t speak about numbers but actions and being dedicated and disciplined to actually put something towards your future❤
Yesss, the challenge for many people is not starting and thinking they need to make a certain amount of money to start saving. The power of compound intrepid we take very lightly.
Currently on my debt free journey started dec 2022 i used my bonus to pay off my personal loan , the then diverted my personal loan instalment to my car instalment and reduce my term with 7 months ,i still have a 35k revolving credit but i plan to tackle it after am done with my car loan in dec , i plan to be done by august 2024
@@JennNxumalo thank you , u have inspired me i started watching your Chanel last year , have been hooked since i wish we had more of u evn in Namibia .
"You need to invision what your life is going to look like and work towards that." This resonated with me so much. I don't have a lot of debt, and I've gotten to a point of being disciplined when it comes to saving, but I still spend compulsively on things I don't need 😔 I really want to invest more this year and not just make it an afterthought. And be as disciplined about how I manage my finances.
Hi Jen. Thanks for the video. I'm happy to say you have influenced many of my decisions. I budget, I invest, I plan and slowly learning to starve my instant gratification. However, I do find that we need to have ways of making additional money/income. Please make a video on how you make additional income. Thanks .

That is great news Siphiwe 🥰 I am happy for you. Forward we go from here. The responsibilities we have can be overwhelming, but I find that drawing a budget and prioritizing helps me a lot. If there is something I feel I can pause in that month in order to focus on other things I do so.
@ Jenn girl thank you for all the tips u share with us,I do have a question though I deposited some money on my franc app on Thursday last week, but it has not reflected on the App.how long does it take for the money to reflect on the APP? Thank you
