Love these tips as someone in my 20s doing the same I'm glad to see that other young people wanting to learn and teach others about saving. I have 6 bank accounts 1- cheque/salary account 1-emergency fund account 1- 6-12 months worth of living expenses (incase of job loss-It's a maybe) 1-short term savings goals like a laptop, local trips or even weekend trips in the country, buying camera stuff etc 1-Fnb flexi fixed bank account 1-Long term savings (for a car-i want to pay cash and not borrow banks or have loans, also to buy a house).
Jeeeze girl here I was thinking I am doing too much, I love to see that I am not alone 😅🥰, I love how each account has it’s own purpose. I do hope they give you good interest on your savings ❤️🥰
@@JennNxumalo giving these accounts a purpose and a name makes it easier for me. Coz then i know what I'm saving for and I've automated/scheduled payments so that as soon as i get paid. The money goes out the next day before i even think of spending it on anything 😂🤣.
Thank you Jennifer, this makes so much sense to me as I'm starting my journey with savings after getting through debt. Savings for transfer costs for our 2nd home, emergency fund...❤😊. Keep at it, we are here to learn, make changes for the betterment of ourselves and family ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you, darling 😘. You are the best shame. The way you explained, I feel like I am on a good track for now 😂. My contract is ending at the month end of September and I'm worried about my savings uba what will happen 😢😢. Thank you for this channel last month I closed my ackermans account, which is a good start of debt free, and I'm very grateful for that ❤😊
Enjoyed this video so much. I am also going through a phase where I want to have as much disposable cash as I can but also make sure that I earn interest as well
Thank you so much. Habit. Saving a lifestyle. I met your videos sometimes this year, and I've watched almost all. I've just found a new friend in You. Keep building financially free society. We appreciate.
Saving is very difficult it keeps raining, but this year I have become so much better. Not yet consistent but I already saved something and the fun part is that I cannot even access the money until next January. Love your videos
Thank you Jennifer, very informative! Video suggestion: How to build your credit score without getting into too much debt? what's the best way to build your credit scorce as a young up coming professional.
Hey deary 🥰 Our finance teacher 😊, it's always good to have you. Thank you for another lesson, much appreciated. I've been pushing really hard to close most of my debts. Currently left with a credit card that I'm planning to settle and close in October and a car that the last payment is supposed to be end May next year but planning to settle it end January. Long term plan, I want to buy a house next year. What advice would you give me especially with closing everything, is it the good plan? Keep well ❤️
I love your action plan, I would say still try to finish your credit card and close it if you are not disciplined with it. You do not have to rush your car but if you do, find a very small debt like a wifi contract or data contract. So long as you continue to have one debt under your name, you shall be fine. After finishing your car wait for at-least 6 months before buying property, so you credit score can adjust back up.
Jen once again great video. For that tyme account that can be fixed, please can you give us a short tut I tried on my side but it’s the one with the 10day notice that you can access anytime

Thank you, welcome to this part of the internet. Minimising expenses is hard because of the things we need. My suggestion would be to evaluate all your expenses and see which ones are not necessities start cutting those.
One thing I love about your sit downs is that I can listen while cooking after work or listen while I do makeup before I go to work

Hi Jen, could you tell me what the interest rate is for Franc group if you are saving your money there? Thanks for all the inspiration! :)
Hi Jenn I try to save as little as I can but I have lots of debts I don't know wants to do anymore 😢
Its hard to save when you have debts, focus on cutting some of the debts, when you have some money freed then you can start saving.
