Mr. Kiyosaki, because of you I was able to "retire" and get out of the rat race by 27 years old. And here you are a decade later still dropping knowledge. Having undergraduate degrees in engineering and business, along with an MBA, I was somewhat set in terms of a career. But it was a miserable existence even though I was paid well. I then set out down the lonely road of escaping the "grind." I now live mortgage free, surf, travel the world and spend my days coaching and building new things, yet my friends and peers look at me as the odd duckling. It's a strange, yet beautiful life. The thing I love most is I can't remember the last time I had to wake up using an alarm other than catching an early flight to Costa Rica or something. Your most valuable lesson to me was defining assets. Only an asset will generate you income, anything else is a liability. Thank you for writing your books and help shifting my young mind.
Because money is common sense and you're a real idiot if you have to be taught about it. You go to school to gain knowledge you can't get on your own, money isn't one of those things.
I didn't go to school past 9th grade and I'm retired. I watch these videos for inspiration to make more money. So, no, you don't need school unless you're just a total follower and need someone to tell you how to think. And one last thing. I was retired by 33 years old.
@@ashleyashleym2969 Money is the most important thing any of us could learn about. It is a part of our every day life and it totally influences weather we have a good life or not. But lets get real here education is a total waste of time, unless you want a traditional type job "doctor" 'Lawyer' ''Banker' etc.... But since when was a great education vital for the guy who is much more skilled with his hands and imagination than his acedemic abilities, the answer is that it's not vital and all it does it direct him/her away from their talents. Our world is more full of the biggest mafia ever and the schools are, too. The schools are catering to these corporations. The military industrial complex kills more people now than ever. They spread more chemicals around the world now. And I found youtubes about Fukushima being bombed by HAARP, which is spreading radiation all around the world constantly, on purpose. Of course, Nagasaki and Hiroshima were on purpose, too. Leuren Moret speaks in youtubes about Fukushima being an extinction level event that she talks a lot about. There are people that have been working on the depopulation agenda for many years. People still believe in death and germs and enemies. The school system teaches evolution which is a lie, proven by quantum physics. The world has changed, but in many ways it has not. More borders are going up. Stricter rules. Corporations have bought the schools. People are saying the corporations have taken over the government. This is fascism. The goal of a successful trader is to make the best trades. Most times when you're not knowledgeable about it, you tend to lose money. No one losses with a good and right strategy, a strategy could only be referred to as "good" if it's consistently winning trades. You can make great profits fast but you can lose them even faster. Be guided. I would recommend you to the best account manager Sir Adams who has taught me all this. I'm so happy now. Now I make consistent profits.
If you study all our culture, they are built on employment. Employment destroys your gift and talents, it stops you even from thinking about it. We have been damaged greatly by our educational systems because they have actually been conditioning us to believe that we are only here to find a job pay some bills and die. I promise you you'll never find your gift in education so make a note of this, a gift can never be learned it can only be refined. NOW WAKE UP PEOPLE!
Let's make it simple: we are alive so we need resources, resources cost money, unless you live in Alaska and get everything from nature. To get resources and services you need money; because other people spent time and resources to make a service or collect and process resources. To get money you need a job; that's all. You go to school to learn things that make you more useful for a company, which in return, pay you more money. You can avoid to go to school and learn on your own; although for certain jobs (doctors, lawyers and few others), you will have hard time finding a job without a degree. So the tL:DR is that the educational system exist to give people the chance to learn and prove that they learned. It does not teach you how to make money; that is up to you.
There is an employement for every gift or talent. And school systems, although not perfect, encourages it and try to provide tools and further knowledge necessary. Losers need to stop blaming school for not having any talent in life. You know what kind of talents schools don't encourage? The ones that add no value to society. Is that your talent the school took away from you?
Very insightful video. I've read all Mr. Kiyosaki's book. I've implemented some of the strategies from his teachings and even to the point where I was involved in every cashflow quadrant and I do agree that relying on a job alone is not going to help you financially. However, being employed while learning the other quadrants at the same time gave me a deeper insight in how the cashflow quadrant worked for me. I went back to university at a mature age and took the valuable knowledge I gained from Mr. Kiyosaki and took it to the next level. I learnt about debt management, debt financing and equity financing. I also learnt about the principles of finance, financial ratios, and accounting for business decision making, something that you will never learn from Mr. Kiyosaki's books and seminars. Knowledge is power and that indeed is true. Thankyou for the books and wealth wisdom Mr. Kiyosaki.
Theres no such thing as self help. You did it yourself? You didnt need help. Why would you read a book written by somebody else? Thats not self help....thats help.

You still need capital to start your own business, which means you still have to come cap in hand to a bank and hope they give you a rate to borrow that isn't going to completely bend you over. Fail that and you have to prep some kind of investment consortium - good luck with that if you're a nobody. Also, they're not just going to lend you huge amounts of money at no risk, you need collateral to put up. Even being a business start up, you're at a disadvantage compared to those who are already at the top. And then just look how quickly you could be taken out by something like COVID lockdowns. I imagine those that just managed to break even after their first year, or just started turning over a profit in year 2, got completely derailed. I think when you're young, as in teenager, a part-time job in a business can provide many entry skills as a steppingstone to something bigger. You work with a strong mentor, teammates, observe how decisions are made, and contribute your opinions as well. You follow instructions, a process, ask questions about why something is done or performed in a particular way. You learn the best ways to communicate with customers, use time management flexibility, and solve problems. The idea is to teach and learn as you become more independent, and responsible working towards your own goals or business. I call it paid training before you move on.
Indeed. Self development always builds character. The earlier we have built and applied it to ourselves, the higher the chances we will know how to excel in a lot of things. There's a saying: Go into business yourself and you can choose to work whatever 18 hrs. a day you want to work. Now, I get the essence of Kiyosaki is saying but the route he is taking is for certain types of people...mainly type A personalities. Not everybody is like that. Not everyone can handle the ups and downs of a real estate investor type of a career, plus the fact that you are on call 24/7 rather than working a 40 hr. work week and can compartmentalize your life rather than make work your life. I know a few people doing something like what Kiyosaki does and their cell phones are on 24 hrs. a day and they have to be able to shift to crisis mode in an instant. Not everybody can be mentally tough enough and ruthless to deal with bad renters, bad employees, the pressure of crucial business decisions and the ups and downs of investment type income. Many people just want to clock in their 40 hrs. a week and use the rest of their time to destress and do what they want. There's really nothing wrong with putting in your time and retiring with a reasonable retirement rather than working until you die. From what I've seen, Kryosaki type people basically are workaholics who keep pushing until they expire, which is fine if that's what you want to do but not choosing to be the richest man in the cemetery does not make you a loser. Sure it's great to be rich but it's not necessary for true happiness.

There’s a reason some are rich and most aren’t. The financial world is almost like a success filter. Those with certain qualities can continue to move forward. While other get stuck at some point. These qualities are obtainable by everyone, but the majority will not change/adapt. Some people will not have intense motivation, perseverance, focus, or desire to learn. Therefore they will be stuck at a certain point in the filtration system of success. It takes patience and consistent action.
When you say that these qualities are attainable by everyone, you seem to be saying that we could have a society where everybody was rich, and nobody worked for a paycheck. In this society, who would provide the basic services needed to survive?

Crypto is risky as many would say but I think the actual risk in Crypto is not investing, buying the capitulation isn't a tough call, but it is a very tough call to figure out what to do aside holding. There were a lot of problems in my life and I went to a Christian Retreat Centre for a retreat and really after a few days God showed me this book Rich Dad Poor Dad and it logically explained what I had always felt. Actually the world has to thank Mr Kiyosaki for writing this book. He puts everything into brutal ,hard perspective
Am way far away from your better world. But Rich Dad Poor Dad has changed my life for sure. Robert may have been exagrating some things but he has done his fare share to tell the truth.
I listen to Kyosaki like 10 years ago and cause of him I started my own cleaning business and purchased 2 multi family rentals. No lie. He drops knowledge that’s so important it literally gets you out of the rat race. Just have to start small.
He isn't teaching anything here. All this video is saying is basically "get a lump of money, start a business". Ha, no sht! Who wouldn't want to start a business and earn a gazillion dollars? Reality is not everyone is lucky enough to start a successful business, those who tried, I am willing to say majority of them fail, and owe a tonne of debt, (we have family friends who started a restaurant business only to end up with a failed business and a $100,000 loss). If it was that easy everyone would be a millionaire by now. Get out of the rat race you say? LMAO! Going into business, trying to accumulate more money than others and looking down/mocking people who work a job as shown in this video, is the very definition of the rat race. As others have said, the day you die, how much of your money can you take with you?
Nice!!! Started my own cleaning business aswell!!! I realized doing so would make me more money than actually having a career , so I left my dental assisting position and started doing my own thing, if I want a raise I just simply look for another office to provide my service too and bam!! There it is..... I hope to be extremely successful by the time I am 30, turning 25 in a few days and I couldn't be more happy to be doing my own thing....
章ウ一 and that’s why your broke ! Failure is okay . I love failure . It helps me learn . I’ll fail a hundred just so I can get out of the rat race so shut your broke asss up please . You have the mentality of a poor person
You did it because you did work hard and did learn how to be money savy. Not because someone did teach you something you could not learn on your own. He may have points that make you think, but you are the one that put the work in; unless you win the lottery.
To help folks understand this lesson, there are 3 different types of income: 1. Earned - from working 2. Capital gains - from selling something 3. Cash flow - from passive income The reason why Mr. Kiyosaki doesn't invest in paper assets or work for a paycheck is because the first 2 types are taxable. But if you invest in the third type correctly, that is, by using debt, your income is tax free.
"Understand what your passion is and find out someone who could pay you for doing that". I do my Entrepreneur ship this way. And by this way I never work for money. I work for my passion and that makes me money, which then works for me.
I already analysed this man and the end game is = entrepreneurship. And Robert said if you don't love it, you won't take care of it. Buy assets that correlate with your passion. Monetise your passion, by so doing you become an entrepreneur. That's my problem, I can't seem to find that thing, I would be happy doing in the next 20, 30, 50 years.
Everything he has thought there I learned in University. The only thing is that most students are so focused on getting a job and applying the knowledge they just acquired in someone else's business instead of really thinking about how to apply all this knowledge to their own life. Secondly, you need CAPITAL and quite often if you don't have it from your parents, you NEED to work to ever get any Capital. Lastly, phrases like "let your assets work for you" are completely wrong, your assets don't "work" for you or make you money, your employees are the ones doing that for you using your assets. It's okay to be an employee, just think of yourself as a business of one and know your value. Also make sure you unionize so you can exert enough political pressure so the rules can be designed for you instead of always for the rich as he himself recognizes.
@IHaveSwatches you realize what market investments are, right? Stocks means you're buying into a company, and how does that company make money? You guest it right, the company's employees perform value adding activities using the capital you invested in it by buying stocks. Every business requires at least one employee, so even if you invest in real estate, you still have to manage, the assets, the tenancy, etc. Either you do it yourself in which case you are the one working for yourself and growing your own wealth or you hire someone else to use your assets OR capital to grow it. Other market investments such as debt instruments are not really "working for you" as you are simply a lender and you receive compensation in the form of interest (coupon payments)
Investing in the stock market is the best option to make a passive income. Virtually all the markets are crazy, most people pay more attention to the shiniest position on the graph, I’m keeping a diversified portfolio.
The decision to invest is an acknowledgement that it comes with certain risks. Not all investments will do well and some may lose money. However, without risk, there would be no opportunity to potentially earn the higher returns that can help you grow your wealth.
Leaving it in investments rather than my bank accounts is one decision I’ll never regret, over the years I’ve accumulated tons of wealth from proper investments in Bitcoin, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and stocks. Currently I plan on maximizing my gains and growing my portfolio even bigger
Remember, diversification is an approach to help manage investment risk. It does not eliminate the risk of loss if security prices decline. Because investing can be complicated, consider working with a financial professional to help guide you on your wealth-building journey.
Vivian Klaine Morgan, she is an expert who does the heavy lifting for me, she makes research on stocks, and adds my portfolio with stocks for monthly and yearly earnings.
He got into commodities with a good job during a time when the cost of living was more commensurate with income. He had two diametrically opposite role models. He now depends on land, labor and capital to make money, he has income from commodities and real estate, and he depends on the losers to keep going. He doesn't worry about anyone being too offended, as not everyone will take his advice. If everyone did, the economy would be all entrepreneurs and no skilled laborers or tenants. His employee has parents who teach her about real estate, so she's not working from scratch. And she doesn't seem to come across as anything other than obsequious. Depressing video, but at this time in economic history, accurate. He doesn't do much other than shift money around, though, it seems. If he diversified his perspective instead of his portfolio maybe he'd be a little less arrogant. Money isn't enough--empathy would be good, too.
They say the Rich and Poor dad are both fictional. They say that someone who had the resources that Rich Dad had would be easy to spot in Hawaii, especially at the time Robert is saying that he operated. It's a great illustration though.
In my opinion, after reading the rich dad and poor dad, our government wants us for the age of 20-48. And that's the crucial time when we can change generations. Thanks Mr.Kiyosaki for changing the view of financial education.
Well a thing you can do is come up with a relatively low cost asset to buy, use the money from that to help buy another, and gradually just go up the chain
I can say that the only way "getting a job is for losers" is if they don't invest in themselves. If I was to work for someone else I'll just invest my money and start my own thing. Not everyone is born into a wealthy family or have connects like that.
there is good debt and bad debt. Example: credit card debt is horribly bad. Real estate debt is good debt as you are leveraging your increased spending power to acquire assets that cashflow and make you money
If I understand it correctly. Kiosaki uses debt to buy thing that pay the minimum payments on those debts plus some. The logic is that at some point you will owe so much, that it would be terrible for the bank to call for your debts to be paid, as they simply wouldn’t get nearly enough to make it worth their while.

@@tayya7371 Sure. I tried working for a living, and found there's no real money in it. I served a trade apprenticeship and worked my arse off, only being able to save money because I was a bum that lived at home with his parents. Buying a tiny home of my own would have meant: 1)No savings, because everything has to go into the house. 2)No anything else either, because being a slave to a job AND a house means you're either working or fixing/maintaining the house. 3)Fuck that. Now, I'm an unemployed bum living at home with his parents at 43 y.o., and at least I don't have to work like a dog to have nothing like my parents did. Most people will never do much of anything other than flog themselves very hard just to survive and reproduce. I agree, but if everybody would be a Kyosaki, we wouldn't have cars, computers, roads, hospitals because all these rely on jobs and on people he calls loosers.
That is another topic. Kiyosaki understands that, just because he didn't speak in depth about what he calls so called "losers", it doesn't mean he doesn't know anything about them.
I'm thinking what he truly means, is work yes, but be smarter with money in turn make investments work for you and that compound interest is your friend. Be smart don't play the game keeping up with Joness .
Everyone doesn’t have the drive/motivation to do what it takes to be at the top and stay there. Its easier to wake up and go to work vs waking up and maintaining a buisness

If nobody was willing to work in a job then there would be no big businesses with thousands of employees? If everybody was an entrepreneur who would collect the garbage from outside his house, wash his car and build the computer he is using to be the entrepreneur? Does Mr. Kiyosaki have employees in his business. I like to work for a boss that thinks I am loser. Gives me a great feeling of being appreciated.
@ I don't know, but I decided that I make my own, because if we know it's so good, why won't we share it as a service? Greedy? Selfish? This course (I downloaded on VMWare to make sure it is safe): freecoursesite.com/1-artificial-intelligence-reinforcement-learning-in-python/ I'm currently making a A.I. that learns how to play chess based on previous experiences. It uses "reinforcement learning" Reinforcement learning has a goal, and will do anything to achieve it. The best way I found out, is to have exponentially less % chance of exploring a new method, not sticking with a new one. The longer it succeeds, the smaller and smaller the % of exploration. If you won 10 Olympic gold medals in a row, would you change your strategy? Oh hell no. But if you lose a Olympic event, you study what you did wrong, calculate the most likely cause, and change that. If that doesn't work, then the second most likely cause, and repeat that forever.
@2niner71 It's not the 'job' itself, that Kiyosaki's attacking... it's the 'job mentality' of working for your money (instead of your money working for you) that he's speaking to. He eludes to this a couple of times in the video. The main idea to take from this video is to not be a slave to a paycheck. You can have a job... but set up, and own, assets that produce passive income for you, so you're not fazed if you lose the income from that job. You'll have more freedom and less stress that way. You won't be a slave to the paycheck. For some people that may be enough... others will run with it and continue to grow businesses from there, and won't need or want a job (entrepreneurs). Everyone should have at least one passive income source on the side. Our society doesn't teach us that. But in general, that's all he's really saying. Don't be a slave to money. Start small and let money work for you.
only a few people have this mindset- i know this because i talk to my friends about entrepreneurship and not working for the man and they look at me like i'm crazy. they're comfortable living in their 9-5 and that's fine. for them.
You're presupposing something that will never happen. There will _always_ be poor among us, there will _always_ be those that live paycheck to paycheck. There will _always_ be customers to buy every stupid little thing to keep the vast majority of companies afloat.
It's amazing how on one end of the spectrum you have Dave Ramsey "debt is bad :(" then on the other end you have Robert Kiyosaki " debt is good:)" I would like to see them face off with each other.
There are two kinds of debt: good debt (example: taking a student loan to become a doctor or a loan to start a business) and bad debt (example: buying an appliance with a credit card). Mr. Kiyosaki encourages good debt; others likely discourage bad debt (I haven't read or seen them). I don't see any contradiction here.
@@shepherdwarrior777I didn't say 'get a degree in History with a big student loan'. Neither did I say 'Mr. Kiyosaki encourages credit card debt' (I mentioned credit card as an example for bad debt, not good debt). It is possible to fail even with a good debt (say, a medical student on student loan takes school as a place for great fun and fails to become a doctor; that is not the fault of the loan). Perhaps Ramsey didn't manage the investment properly (I don't know). Please strengthen your reading comprehension and logical thinking before attempting to ridicule others.
So privileged to have access to this. I've studied U Robert, and you been preaching the same thing for 30 years! Thank U for being so authentic and a real educator
A degree can, also, position a person to work for themselves. Some degree's are require to run their own business. For example a lawyer and doctor owning their own practice and hiring people under them. Everyone are not mean't to be a business owner. If , everyone had a business there wouldn't be anyone to be cooks, host, paralegal car makers and etc. Just a thought! We all have roles and different talents in life.

People still believe in death and germs and enemies. The school system teaches evolution which is a lie, proven by quantum physics. The world has changed, but in many ways it has not. If you study all our culture, they are built on employment. Employment destroys your gift and talents, it stops you even from thinking about it. We have been damaged greatly by our educational systems because they have actually been conditioning us to believe that we are only here to find a job pay some bills and die. I promise you you'll never find your
gift in education so make a note of this, a gift can never be learned it can only be refined.

Kiyosaki.

If you don't have dreams and aspirations, then you'll end up working really hard for someone who does.
Maybe it is your aspiration to support others with the same aspirations as you. For example, many universities are technically charities... The money they make goes to the university itself to provide better and better education.

Hello
The real problem is not that school doesn't teach you nothing about money, the real problem is that school teaches you wrong things about money
because they don't know anything about it. I mean teachers don't even put practice into what they teach but they teach us as students, there was one time my business teacher told me that her house that she lives in is an asset!
I remember it was 1999 and I was in 11th grade English class talking to one of my classmates when the teacher called me out. "Are you listening to a word I have said?" I answered "No" She asked "why not?" I said "I have taken English every years since 1st grade, you either don't have anything new to teach me or I am not going to get it." She said "well, you might want to". Then I asked "why so I can get good grades, get into a good college and get a good job like you?" She answered "yes". I said "a college education cost about $16,000 a year right now, with four years of college that puts a degree at $64,000, a teacher starts out at $21,000!" Then I said "and that's why I will never take financial advice from you!"

Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains. The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them. Investors should exercise caution with their exposure and exercise caution when considering new investments, particularly during periods of inflation. It is advisable to seek guidance from a professional or trusted advisor in order to navigate this recession and achieve potential high yields.

Hello
Hello,
I feel like people overestimate success too often. Success comes Easily to those who seek it.. and are willing to work hard, and work smart for it.. the resources are always readily available.. no matter where you are.. or what you do in life. I am thankful to have read your book at a young age (15) I Began investing months ago (18) and now am on the road to getting my dream business certified.. I grew up very poor, Literally Dirt Poor.. my shoes would always have mud on them.. I had to wear my mud shoes out to drive my car, and change into nice shoes every time I went to a meeting, or an event. Though many of my accomplishments may seem small to others, they are milestones for me and I am always willing to go the extra mile to accomplish my goals.... Every day I make it an effort to...
1- Learn Something New
2- Say something positive
3- Make an impact on myself, and others... even if it is a very small impact.
The only reason YOU are not successful today.. is because you choose not to be successful.. that goes for anything in your work, your life, family.. or whatever it is you are passionate about. Success is up to You and You Only!

I'm an Accountant. After working for a company and seeing how many multiples the owners make (between $400k to $600k annually) compared to everyone else ($60k avg annually) convinced me to start my own business. It would be ridiculous for me not to. The owners aren't smarter than everyone else, just will to step out of the comfort zone.
You need connections and many who made it probably did things not exactly according to the book. No internet guru is going to tell you that side of things.

Advantage of those teenagers who have immersed themselves in the corporate world are that employers choose them over same fresh graduates who doesn't know how things work in the corporate world.

$100k a year is still a ton of money it depends on who you are and where. I come from an under 10k household. Growing up that would’ve been a massive change of life.
Im in australia, and unless u earn $1000+ a week ots harrrrrd!!!! Considering average rent p/w $600-700.

Average weekly pay $1000-1250, 700 rent food petrol other i bills, dont know about america but a pack of cigaretts is $35-$50!! Sydney is one of most expensive cities to live in.
Steven James Sherebkin $1000 a week👀 that’s the dream for most Americans especially here in Miami. 700$ rent I’m guessing on a 1bdrm apartment is also the dream. That’s about $4K a month. That’s swimming in it over here lol. 35$ for cigarettes must be import tariffs or something because that’s crazy. Maybe that’s what eats up that 4grand in Sydney
My dad make 100k a year, because he uses his own knowledge and not other people (financial advisors etc..) he's in debt. I'd wouldn't work for 200k, I want to be making 1 million a year. That's my standard and I'll never settle until I reach there.

I wish mentors weren't so damn expensive so that everyone can afford one.

To help folks understand this lesson, there are 3 different types of income:
1. Earned - from working
2. Capital gains - from selling something
3. Cash flow - from passive income
The reason why Mr.

And Robert said if you don't love it, you won't take care of it. Buy assets that correlate with your passion. Monetise your passion, by so doing you become an entrepreneur. That's my problem, I can't seem to find that thing, I would be happy doing in the next 20, 30, 50 years.

Absolutely.

One important point that this guys is missing, in order to buy business, real state or stock etc, you need CAPITAL
Yes the minimum should not be under 10k to invest in the real estate
Well a thing you can do is come up with a relatively low cost asset to buy, use the money from that to help buy another, and gradually just go up the chain
Also you can use debt
There are other ways to get capital. Short term job for initial capital, then open a corp, build biz credit, be responsible...the rest is history.
Smart as you are beautiful!
I can say that the only way "getting a job is for losers" is if they don't invest in themselves. If I was to work for someone else I'll just invest my money and start my own thing. Not everyone is born into a wealthy family or have connects like that.
I guess the part I don't understand is taking on large amounts of debt. I was always taught to avoid debt like the plague.
there is good debt and bad debt.

Larry Kurmode Buffett says debt is bad as well.

Someone who works hard is always seen as a good citizen. The rich and powerfull love this message because people like him make them richer every day. I believe in a society that working is something volunteer and made with love. No human being in a civilized world should be forced to do something he hates just to survive. Working should make our life and others better no only a few
It WAS true for my parents -- in the 1940s and 50s. You could work hard, buy homes without 30 year loans, and rise in the ranks. That era is long gone for most people.
Work hard bro, and make ur employer more richer !! after 40 years dead like a boring old man!!!
That's stupid
Not a good citizen, just a good person in general. And I really don't know how you think a society where work is optional can possibly sustain itself 😄
@@Hatrimn i know some rural communities that thrive doing what they love and sharing their goods and/or skills. western model is not the only one available.
