I saw him at Yankee Stadium around the same time and the peanut vendor thought it was a good time to try to sell peanuts. My normally calm husband yelled at him Shut up! Its Fucking Blackbird!! Lol
One Man and a Guitar mesmerized in a 10s of thousands. Paul’s voice, his acoustic guitar, and absolute silence for the performance. They wanted to hear every note! This is a very special man.
Considering that he (and the "lads") have been famous for more than 50 years... it's just not that surprising. I heard "I want to hold your hand" about 1963, and life has never been the same. My sister is of the Elvis generation, I'm the Beatles. They changed so very much. I think more than Bob Dylan, but I won't argue that point.
Bang on point never bores me it just gets better with age the man the Beatles class is something your born with and that band and the man are a class act
After 1966 he did 😂 taller, ear lobes, chin, facial structure, vocal pattern… pretty much everything 😂 even his DNA 😂 MEMOIRS OF BILLY SHEARS. Read it.
When he is gone I will be devastated, it is so great to have him and Ringo still around to listen to and hear their reflections. The Beatles essentially started the year I was born and I fortunately had some years of enjoying them as a group before they broke up, a day I will never forget. But their music lives forever
Funny Brian, I was listening to McCartney earlier this evening and thought the same thing. Been listening to them since their inception in the early/mid sixties. Their music has been with my wife and I since then as I was introduced to her the day the Beatles had their first US TV Special on the Ed Sullivan show in Feb 1964.

I was at this show with my sister, had a heck of a good time. Funnily enough he talks about both he and George having a party piece by Bach to show they knew how to play the guitar, i often use Blackbird as a piece to show that i too can play the guitar.

The absolutely insane thing about this video is the only other "complicated song" I ever learned on guitar and can still play it is Bach's Bouree in E Minor which is what Paul way playing on intro. The Universe picked Blackbird as the next song to learn having no idea Paul got the idea from Bach. I see music in an entirely new light now as I get how he made the transition. He is brilliant.
If you're talking about lyrics, there are many songs with meaningful stories to be told, but I don't believe we'll have another band that'll top Beatles. Wish I grew up around the 60s/70s, so many phenomenal musicians that I would rather support than these sell out rappers/pop artists.
Problem is there's too many obstacles like social media and globalism that tends to diminish and blends people's dreams and thoughts together. There's also the whole adrenochrome aspect. Some people are drinking baby blood to stay on top of things and keep the world under their control whilst others have no idea.

What is it with this man? All his life playing just standing there like he is standing in my living room( I wish) lol...playing this song maybe for the zillionst time live in front of massive filled stadium..and always something magical happens.
