Good job of keeping it brief and covering what's relevant. Too many guys use lots of words which provide no information.

I think it's a Great Gun for the price point. Amazing trigger and from a Prestigious Company. I agree 💯 with having to spend on the Optic plate, not a good move. But overall it's a Beast.

Love my apx a1, only getting better and better as I approach the 1000 round mark. Plus the 17 and 21 mags seem to be priced well and readily available.

Good video, and I just got my hands on one too. For the price I got it for I'm agnostic about having to buy a plate...I've bought plates for other guns in the past so I don't mind having to purchase a plate for the Beretta if I decide to put an optic on it. But otherwise, I really like everything about it. The captive steel guide rod, the excellent metal sights, the soft recoil, and I think it's about the most comfortable gun I've ever held...it just seems to melt into my hand. The trigger isn't as good as some other guns (thinking Walther), but it is far better than a stock Glock trigger, and as you pointed out the Beretta trigger has only gotten better with a little break-in. As for the take-down, I didn't like that at first either, but now I actually prefer it to many other designs. (I.e., you don't have to squeeze and hold the slide back a little ways and then pull down two tiny nubs on either side of the frame to release the slide 😉.) For the APX, I just check to make sure the chamber is empty, let the slide forward, pull the trigger, then a quick push on the button with my right thumb and rotate the takedown lever with my left and off the slide goes. The directions from Beretta could better explain how to do this, but I watched another video from a Swiss guy which really helped me understand how easy this is to do. Bottom line, I like the APX A1 much more than I expected, and am surprised I like it more than quite of few other guns which are much more expensive!

It's definitely impressed me more than I thought it would, and the short length of pull is definitely nice for me since my hands are smaller. Thanks for watching!

I have this and a Glock 17. Many people say it’s soft shooting but I couldn’t tell the difference. Also, the grip does feel good in the hand but somehow I shoot the G17 better. Still it’s great for Beretta to offer such good value. The new S&W SD 2.0 seems like a good value also. But the fact that this Beretta was their entry for a military (or police) bid should mean that this is better than the S&W

Picked up the APX 1 Compact at my LGS yesterday for $403 on sale, and now applied for the $100 rebate. A great price for a very good pistol.

This is just a great gun all around no matter what the price. Ergonomically this is my favorite gun. I use it as my home defense gun and put a Talon grip on it and now I just can't put it down. It just feels so right in my hand. It's also a very good shooter with very low recoil. My only complaint is the one of optic plate screws striped on me so I'll have to get it extracted in order to add an optic but overall it a pretty awesome gun especially for the price. This is one of my best firearm purchases by far.

Paid about $300 for mine after the rebate.
Reliable as hell, great ergos and good shooter with a decent trigger.
I find the take down button/lever easier to manipulate if you pull the slide back a little the same that you do with a Glock.
Overall I really dig the APX line other than the carry version.

I just ordered the APX A1 Compact from my LGS. $309 OTD, after the rebate. I'm hoping it will be a good fit for me as a concealed carry pistol. I held one of the Centurions 3-4 years ago and thought it could work out. Thanks for the info on the full sized version.

I have the apx a1 and have been looking for a holster with a 2 inch drop for my setup. Does anyone know who makes something like that?

Love mine ! Only things I dislike is the barrel finish lack of magwell and trigger reset is a bit underwhelming
