    Really impressed on how you know all these nodes and how they relate. Do you have tips for learning them?

    • @NomadRProductions
      @NomadRProductions  2 года назад +5

      I watched a lot of tutorials, but I probably learned the most by watching After Effects tutorials and recreating them in Fusion. That taught me good VFX techniques, but it also helped me learn the nodes and memorize what they do.

      I usually watch tutorials about a topic, independent of software, to understand the logic behind a given effect. Then try to find the components in DR to recreate this.

    Banging tutorial bro. I’m always looking to improve my VFX game in fusion. Definitely going to study your channel for inspiration. Thanks a lot 👊🏼

    Id love to see this applied around someone like an Aura....!! Awesome

    • @NomadRProductions
      @NomadRProductions  3 года назад +1

      You could totally do that! I would suggest shooting your person on a green screen (you need a matte of them) and plug that into the particle emitter and set the region to bitmap. That way, the particles will emit from the shape of your person. You might need to tweak some of the other tools to refine the look. I did something similar for the first shot of the cup glowing in the short film (except I masked it out ).

    Few channels are positioned to use DaVinci to produce VFX. optimistic about this channel.

    • @NomadRProductions

      Ah yes. I've thought about it, but there are already some good tutorials out there for lightsabers in Davinci. If I were to make one, it would probably be an overview of the different techniques.

    Really nice tutorial, thanks :)
    You mentioned the effect was loopable, what makes it loop? and how do you know at what time it will start to loop?

    • @NomadRProductions
      @NomadRProductions  3 года назад +2

      Ah. I should have clarified. The pre rendered effect in the description is loopable. But you can make this one loopable! Basically (after you've rendered it), just cut it somewhere in the middle, then take the first half and move it over so that the beginning slightly overlaps the second half, then cross fade that.

      @@NomadRProductions Ah... cool.
      I thought there was some magic to making the effect loopable in Fusion. :)

    How about a tutorial of an energy beam being deflected by a force field, or two energy beams colliding?

  • @Praadacuchis

    Question, my abstraction node never rends, can i use another one to make it look similar?

    • @NomadRProductions
      @NomadRProductions  3 года назад +1

      Hmmm... The abstraction gives it most of the "fire" look. If you can't get that to work, maybe try using a displace driven by a fastnoise. It won't have as much detail, but it should work in a pinch.

    I followed your Tutorial and started with a 1080p composition, but i decided to change to 4K do i have to change some parameters in the comp ? the glowing core is not visible in 4K ? in 1080p everything is fine

    • @NomadRProductions
      @NomadRProductions  3 года назад +1

      I have noticed that the larger the effect is, the less visible the core is. I would try playing with the Brightness/Contrast to make it brighter. If that doesn't work, maybe try making the particle emitter smaller.

    Why did you publish this the all the errors? Your right clicks don't show up in the video and you don't refer to the tools in Resolve with the correct terms. It would be good to clean up your channel with a redo so you can be taken more seriously if you're looking for work. First work or last your online portfolio reflects on you.

    • @NomadRProductions

      Yeah, I hadn't figured out the settings for my screen recorder when I made this. I might look into doing a redo (or a similar effect). Thanks for the feedback!
