the guys working on the Flash should've honestly just looked at A-Train from the Boys.. their perception and visualization of speed is very well done imo. You can clearly see that A-Train is actually moving his body parts at high speeds instead of gliding across the floor. But you managed to capture that same logic quite well!
I think yours should be leaning forward more. Also my biggest issue with the original isn't the cgi but the color grading. It's waaaaaaay too orange. If that was fixed this could be 100x better
While I agree that The Flash running form in this scene could look more convincing, I've seen people use that Mixamo animation before and it just never worked for the character, it simply has no superheroic vibe to it, and when sped up like it is in your version, it kinda gives off goofy Sheldon Cooper as The Flash vibe, like yeah, it's normal human run animation, but it's too plain-looking. Maybe more motion blur for the legs and arms would make it closer to CW The Flash early seasons running look, also whole body leaning more forward as it usually does in the comics (recommend looking up Crimsoned Renz, he accurately recreated CW's running style for his 3D animations). But I also get your time constraints with this one, all the compositing work looks flawless
Not trying to disrespect, but the running still looks a bit weird. The aesthetic to go for in this scene is hard to visualize 'coz we're just not used to seeing people run that fast in real life. I'd prolly go for same overall shape/angle that the movie used where he is leaning forward 'coz that's how the flash looks like in the comics anyway. Combine that with how you did the legs. But minimize the bobbing/flickering of the upper body. That was what looked the most weird to me. That said, how you adjusted the look of the model and composited it with the movie scene is nothing short of spectacular. I followed a lot of your Davinci tutorials. I don't know how to use Blender but if you start making tutorials, I'd love to learn from you.
The issue was never that he runs weird, its that the run is too slow and it doesn't follow the conventions of our gravity so it looks weird. Literally just speed up the footage and he looks fine
Not bad at all but when a runner is sprinting they are leaning forward your character was straight up and down. I would say look at some Olympic runners and add some of their movement to this. But for sure it looks so much better than the way he floundered around as he ran.
your video is very illustrative even though it is short. btw, can you make a video tutorial on how to create a fake shadow effect from a greenscreen video in fusion? i haven't found the right way for some reason, including what are the names of the nodes i need. thanks in advanced
I think it looks pretty damn impactful , reminds me of that captain and Bucky running In Avengers infinity war wakanda original. In 1 week of time it's insane , I would love to see you tweak this further . Love your videos man ! Thanks again for that rigging animation tutorial legend o7
Finally this scene make more sense👌🔥 Thank you for doing that. Your tutorial videos are very helpful. I wish you could do one day a full tutorial, how to make a glow effect of Goku transformation to supersayan. 🔥
Considering how all the odds were against this movie Andy Muschietti was still able to do a decent job on his own At least he made this movie fun and exciting I do hope he gets to direct BRAVE AND THE BOLD because I loved his approach on Batman
It looks like it is actually running! The original looked more like he was sliding or skating on the pavement. I don't realyl knwo what they were thinking when they made this movie.
I prefer the original movie version. He seems to be reaching through the air pushing the speed force forward. Yours just looks like a weird speed-up cartoon.
That's fair, if I had more time I might have tried to make it look a bit more natural, but with the time I had this was the best animation I could find
Kinda swapping goofy running for a different kind of goofy? Seems to be the film should have motion captured a professional sprinter and just used that - have the background move faster but the actor’s body moving in a realistic way.
6:10 1) the animation is quite bad, he is looking like he is limp on one leg and the head is glitching, are you sure you are not missing some keyframes to the animation also? 2) The animation looks like it is 15 frames /s 3) The torso angle of the animation does not correspond to the speed of running when you fasten it up I like the lighting, the replacement of the body, the face mapping and the camera work, that was great. it is just the animation itself, that feels quarky
I love it way more than the original for sure! This is insane! I definitely feel like the running animation is holding it back though, it feels kind of stiff and upright
I wouldn’t say you fixed it. You didn’t really improve it either. The perspective is off and the animation is not great, also you didn’t do any color correction and you didn’t exactly nail it in the raw renders
Not that I'm defending the original, but your version just doesn't sell speed. He's not leaning into the run, and his strides are too short and stiff. You should have looked around for some mocap of actual runners sprinting for your running animation. This looks like an upcycled Atari game.
It's crazy to watch this when I made a Flash video a couple months ago and literally went through almost all the same steps. I used the same model and everything. ruclips.net/video/_Loux1Dz4-A/видео.html
This video is a waste of time. The running animation is what you wanted to replace but you spent 99% of the video working on creating the model and compositing it into the scene. And just lazily grabbing a terrible premade animation and using that without even modifying it. Come on man.
Lol that's shit. Pretty horrible. Normally I'm not brutally honest in RUclips comments, because people dedicate time and effort to entertain others. But since that's exactly the point of your video... Yeah, I don't feel guilt

Since The Flash movie came out, I've been waiting for a video like this to appear, thank you.
Good work. I wonder how it will look with more time.
Good luck with your school assessments. 🙌🏾🇿🇦

Absolutely amazing! I think you textured the model perfectly and it looks super well composited, great job!
This guy is hella underated
You need more subs!!!!
yeah, it looks good , well done dude ! now i know why they didnt do what they didnt do lol.
I am speechless.You should make a movie.
This looks pretty good
2:00 - 2:13 is comedy gold!
Awsome. This is how flash should be running like..
That's something dope bro 🔥
So freaking cool!!
The issue was never that he runs weird, its that the run is too slow and it doesn't follow the conventions of our gravity so it looks weird. Literally just speed up the footage and he looks fine
The running animation looks kinnda goofy ngl but other than that this actually looks so great considering the low res footages and renders
should have ahd him leaning forward more and a lot more blur on the arms and legs. but not bad man

Any resources where u learned davenci
That's dope!
To be honest, he should have been leaning to the front a bit more to sell the speed....but other than that it looks great
I mean .... you didnt let me down as much as the acctual movie did

Very nice video!
damnnn that was so neat 🙌🙌

Honestly much better than the original
You should fix the Christopher Reeve Superman cameo next

really enjoy this arc 😎

Here before the algorithm gives this to everyone
nice very nice
Your version is a LOT better than the original! 🔥👏🏻
Nice
Matching the camera was the most impressive part of all of this 🤣 great work! 👏
Thanks! That was the part I was most worried about going into this project lol
You can't take Mixamo animation and say you fixed something. Great job at compositing tho.
The running animation looks good but looks too like rigid and it's kinda like inbetwwen the best and the real one.
That's fair, if I had more time I might have tried to make it look a bit more natural, but with the time I had this was the best animation I could find

Dude, this needs WAYYYYYY more views like damn 😭
Looks so much better

Yeah defniitely not better, no idea what people are on

Bro, move on. Stop with appologizing for using AI. People with VFx careers have been using AI for years. Apologizing for using a tool is cringe.
