Here’s a free DaVinci Resolve course to help you continue learning how to create various effects: ruclips.net/video/CsDT-T6snfU/видео.html 👉 If you're looking for more effects and transitions for your videos, I recommend checking these out: 1.envato.market/DavinciResolve
I am impressed at your good explanation, speaking slowly and clearly, unlike other RUclipsrs who talk fast, and not clearly, do it to show off their "professionalism", to advertise themselves--a lot of confusion instead of teaching. Bravo to you!
@Learnbymandy Weeeeell, whether it's AI or voice over, the explanations and their style are still his own. I can only second the previous comment on the quality and style. His explanations are very thoughtful and considerate of a somewhat less trained audience like myself. In any case, I'm really happy that I just found this quality channel. Straight sub from my side!!
its crazy how this is basically a bypass to using magic mask which is only included in the premium resolve, great alternative. In the ways I would need it at least 👍
Great video. Are you able to do a focal shift with the depth map? For example your foreground is in focus and it transitions to the background in focus. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Just curious, Sergio. After you create the mask using the Depth Map do you still have to go through the process of tracking or is it done automatically?
Thanks! Maybe I'll do a tutorial on that kind of effect later on. For now, I've decided to take things a bit slower with the channel. I'll keep it in mind for when I'm back in full swing haha.
Tienes nuevo subscriptor. Gracias
Great video! I have some questions: 1. The Depth Map effects include automatic tracking? 2. What is the difference between this effects and Magic Mask?
Thanks! With Depth Map, you don't track movement; instead, you select elements based on their depth. Magic Mask is used to selecta specific element in the video, while Depth Map allows you to select all "elements" that are near, intermediate, or far. Additionally, you can adjust and select areas with greater or lesser intensity.
It depends on how you plan to use it: to simplify, Magic Mask is used to select specific elements in the video, while Depth Map is used to select areas of the video based on their depth. The advantage of Depth Map is that it allows you to select different areas with varying intensity, while Magic Mask focuses on an element in the video and tracks it.

Love from Bangladesh ❤
For the parts you selected in your examples, I would have tried Magic Mask first since they were pretty distinct.

nice, thanks
Amazing tutorial.
Is there puppet pin (like in AE) feature in davinci resolve? (Not warp tool)
Can you please share the color grade for this video? Or the video clips? Please.
after creating mask using depath map how to track the footage or this is for a stable footage only
Just curious, Sergio. After you create the mask using the Depth Map do you still have to go through the process of tracking or is it done automatically?
pls do a video of that Tornado, looked so cool
way more efficient than using the mask track to create fx or isolate the background
what if you want a gradient blur? a blur that's lighter but boldens as you go further into the background?
great to use as a mask effect for the text nice one....
Thank you great tutorial! could you make a tutorial on how to do the vfx tornado thing? It looks SO COOL!
Thanks! Maybe I'll do a tutorial on that kind of effect later on. For now, I've decided to take things a bit slower with the channel. I'll keep it in mind for when I'm back in full swing haha.
Can you do this with videos??

Is this better than the magic mask?
