Why is it that when a female makes a video in which she plays an instrument that so many people have to comment on how beautiful she is? It's like "Wow! You're so gorgeous...nice drumming, too btw." Who cares how she looks? Her drumming is fucking awesome.
Her technique is clean AF. I think girla have a natural advantage on drums as Ive also noticed in martial arts, her ability to relax helps, the fact that she pulls no facials/makes it look effortless is a great indicator of this.

I have to disagree. Although she is plays great and relax, she looks rigid and unnatural. Buddy Rich and Dave Weckl plays relax, but they look natural. Girls are more flexible and graceful in movement, hence they look more natural in gymnastics and martial arts (demostrating). But the actual combat part of martial arts, the men look more fluent. Women start to look a bit unnatural.

And really I always place the band as a whole over an individual, and I just know that Metallica will always be my band. Nostalgia I guess.

One of my all time favorite songs. I've loved it since it first came out. You crushed it as you do everything you have covered. I used to play years ago and couldn't imagine playing anywhere close to as good. Last September I had half my hand and 3 fingers cut off in an accident. Since then I've had pain every single day of type or another. Your videos, are one of the things, I have used since then to take my mind off to a different reality. From the bottom of my heart thank you for sharing your amazing gift with the world. I'm sure you have been an inspiration and helped lift others as you have myself. May you always be able too keep that smile, the joy you show when playing, and the vibes you give your fans.

Do any of you not realize that being able to play a song at this level with the fluidity and pure ease that she does is amazing? You're really going to rip her because of how she does it? Does it not sound perfectly on time with what you hear in the original track? Ever give any thought to the fact that maybe she doesnt like to tire herself out by putting unneeded emotion or effort into her playing? If she can play the song as good as she does with the level of effort she does I see no reason to inject unneeded energy into it and waste that energy in the first place. I guess im the only one that feels she is doing what makes sense.

I get pulled in watching these Vids. I see the near flawless technical aspects, kudos for the skills! I would LOVE to see Ms.Meytal FLEX them MUSCLES!! Like, you know-- METAL MUSCLE!!!! BREAK A DRUM HEAD OR TWO! It's something about the crack of a snare, when hit w/such power that the head FEELS that impact. It does something for music- specifically which isn't typically found(heard) in other genres.
Not sure if I mentioned this before, but, man, you're definitely much more John Bonham and much less Ringo Starr. You know, Ringo with his snare, bass and cymbal. Maybe a high hat, just for show. Then Bonham with nine snares, nineteen toms, four bass drums, a thirty-seven-pack assortment of cymbals and high hats (one high hat with something I call his jiggle tambourine mounted on the top), a couple maracas, and some spoons stashed somewhere, and a friggin' gong. And he actually uses them all, lol! He probably had a xylophone, some Lummi sticks and a bamboo rain stick somewhere just for experimentation, lol. As a writer and painter myself, I always said I have the heart of a drummer. And, man, you are awesome! You never disappoint. :)
