One thing I really love/appreciate about Sina, aside from her obvious passion and talent, is that unlike a lot of other (mostly female) drummers on RUclips, she DOESN'T keep looking at the camera and smiling or trying to "look pretty" every few seconds. In fact, she really doesn't look at the camera at all. She just does what a musician is supposed to do: she gets lost in the music and just PLAYS. And I love and respect the hell out of that. For Sina, it's about the music, period. Rock on, Miss Sina. Rock on.
Looking at the camera is about showmanship. It has nothing to do with actually playing the instrument. It's more about putting on a show that makes the performance more enjoyable.
The more I see Sina the more I like her playing. Rock solid beats and hits hard. Hard to believe a Woman so small can deliver the goods behind a drum set. Sina does exactly that. She impressed me tremendously.

Loved it. And even though it was outside your comfort zone, you crushed it! When I was a toddler, One and The unforgiven were some of my favourite songs (still are) so when I saw the title I got really excited 😆
I like it when you make a grand entrance like that, Sina, right on the lip of the drum part, just like for "Here I Go Again". That was fast - it didn't feel like 7.6 minutes to me, gawking in amazement at the machine-like precision of your reflexes on the double beaters, mesmerized by the ever so slight jiggling of the toms - the way you set up your kit seems to enhance the reverberations to a level hard to define but magical sounding to my ears. And come to think of it, you were actually working three pedals already! And yet you made it seem effortless - I can't wait to read your interview so that I can get an insight on how you felt in doing this astounding performance!!!
@@salbuda6957 , hi there. I've just been reviewing this - same effect, it still feels as if there's "missing time" after the performance, lol. Truly phenomenal.
Sina, very cool and beautifully playing, it is clear that a person puts his soul. I always watch, listen to your videos, with great pleasure. Good luck to you Sina and prosperity, your performance on drums at the highest level, keep it up.
Hi Sina. I found this a hard song to learn on drums, pretty strong syncopation from the start....you make it look easy though - respect for doing such a good job. For all the crap people say about Lars, much like Ringo Starr he created some very unique and memorable drum tracks and this is a good example of his skill, not just as a drummer but as an artist creating.
Ha! Nailed it! Even Lars' slight deviations off time! I'd say this is the reference video for anyone wanting to learn the exact handwork and footwork for this song. Total ausgezeichnet!!!!
After the 4.11 when the storm start Sina is The Thunder Alive!!! She is smashing the Song! Thank you Sina that you learn me how to play this Amazing Drum Song!!!
I'm quite impressed! I've played for 50 years, jazz for the past 30+, but have to admire your talent. You're more than a natural with your talents in guitar, bass keyboards, and probably anything you touch. My daughter had natural talent. Bought her a kit at age 9 and she sat down and played M-Bop by Hansen. She gave up playing as she thought she sucked compared to me. Good for you already monetizing your amazing gift. Keep it up and stay humble.
REALLY great cover. Not my favorite Metallica song, but you're playing that double pedal. I distinctly remember when this song came out. The raw, basic sound, mixed with the guitar crunch. Just beautiful! 😘
Does this one taste metallic? No? How about this one, or this one, or ... THE SONG - "One" was written in November 1987 by Metallica's band members James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich. It was released on Jan 10, 1989 as the third single from their album '...And Justice for All'. The album version clocks in at 7:27 and there was an edited radio version at 4:58. A music video, the band's first, debuted on MTV on Jan 20, 1989. Three different videos were made - a full length "album" version, a shorter version of that same video, and a short version that fades out during the last bridge. "One" peaked at #35 on the Billboard Hot 100 on Apr 8, 1989, eight weeks after entering the chart. It was last seen at #95 on May 27, 1989 after 15 weeks on the chart. The song tells the disturbing story of a WW I soldier so severely wounded that he has lost his limbs, his sight, hearing and speech. Being in that state, he wishes for death. He apparently can hold his breath though so those around him must be aware that he is conscious and not in a vegetative state. In the video, he tries to communicate "kill me" using Morse code. Well, it's a thrash metal anti-war song. Let's not expect too much :D THE DRUMMER - Lars Ulrich's father Torben is a Danish former professional tennis player who played from the late 1940s to the 70s. During the 50s, he played clarinet in a jazz band. Lars was expected to become a tennis player too but, in Feb 1973, Torben brought his 9 year-old son to a Deep Purple concert and the die was cast - he fell in love with the drums. He got his first proper drum kit, a Ludwig set, when he was around 12. He moved to Los Angeles in 1980 and in 1981 met James Hetfield and they formed Metallica. Lars Ulrich has been rather controversial among metal drumming fans and their opinions range from respect to hate. He's mostly a hard-hitting drummer who emphasizes the downbeat and backbeat. You're not likely to hear him play ghost notes! More of his drumming will be discussed shortly. He also became controversial in mid-2000 when he sued Napster which resulted in 300,000 users being banned from the service. What Ulrich perhaps hadn't considered was that many of those users were die-hard fans hungry for as much Metallica as they could get. Many were turned off by what they felt was pure commercialism and greed - particularly after he showed off his art collection! Rosanna had some questions for Sina. Not being a drummer, she asked our very own comment zone drummer-from-down-under Andrew Hutchison to join them for an extended Q&A session - SINA: It's nice to have Andrew on board! ANDREW: Was the double kick groove that opens the “heavy” section something that you already had in your repertoire, or did she have to practice and develop the technique for the cover? SINA: We learned some double bass drum technique in Drummer's Institute, which was really helpful when I was learning the song. I certainly had to practice the double bass drum passage for this cover. ANDREW: The middle section gets pretty hectic. Was it a challenge from a stamina point of view? SINA: I was lucky that this double bass drum figure didn't go all through the song! My legs got a bit tired, but it was okay. RO: You're very modest about the double bass drum work. We've seen "Wipe Out". SINA: "Wipe Out" was easier to play than "One", because it's easier to play fast 16th notes when you play the quarter notes with the right hand. Every fourth bass drum hit is 'linked' to a stroke with my hand. In "One", I had to play sextuplets and only the first sextuplet was in unison with a stroke from my right hand. That makes it more difficult to be precise with every note. RO: You've said you're "not a metal chick" but you've covered Metallica's "Enter Sandman", "Master of Puppets", and "Nothing Else Matters" for Jadyn, and now also "One". What inspires you about these songs or draws you to cover them? SINA: Metallica is considered a classic rock band, so I had to look into it. It's a lot of fun to play. I'm often asked to play slayer and other thrash metal bands, but I don't think that's for me. RO: Lars Ulrich has been criticized by some for being too predictable or not so creative. I like the "machine gun" 7-7-4-7 stroke, and similar, snare drum rolls. They were creative, if not actually hard. How would you describe his style? ANDREW: He’s not the most liked of drummers out there but I personally think his drum parts are often perfect, if lacking a bit of creativity. SINA: You can find a lot of details in Ulrich's songs, so I think he is creative in his playing. It's important to remember that Lars was one of the guys that came up with this music in terms of composing it. To me, his style seems a bit robotic, but I still have lots of respect for him. RO: The Metallica covers you've done seem to be the gentler, more melodic ones. SINA: Yes, I like the more melodic songs from Metallica best. Melbourne, Australia based drummer Andrew Hutchison is a long time Sina supporter. These days you're more likely to find him on Patreon but he's a fellow traveler here at YT too. Andrew plays with three bands - The Crunchies (70/80’s Aus Rock), Keith David Group (originals / adult contemporary) and Astronomie (doom metal). He has also recorded with multiple Sina collaborator Victoria K. and you can check out his playing on her "Monster (ReMastered 2018)" video - ruclips.net/video/Sylw2fAeNDw/видео.html THE ICON - Niki is going to start decorating the Iconology Clinic for the festive season so don't expect to see her for a few weeks!
Thanks for the heart Sina - and for answering all the questions Andrew and Ro had. ridl fitz you're very welcome. Santa, I'm glad you liked it. It's summer in Andrew's part of the world. Maybe you have to change your name to Sandy Claws when you visit down under ? Just joking...:D
Really a nice job Sina!! So great to see you play a tune like this and also to see how far you have come on your musical journey! All the best to you and yours! :)
Very, very clever omdg. Replacing, by way of having it run more smoothly, the 8ths with 6ths in the kick drum when _that_ riff finally kicks in, that's a special kind of brilliant.👏👏👏 👑👌

Has Lars Ulrich ever watched this or your other Metallica drum covers? He'd probably retire... 😂 The part from 4:13 on left me speechless... Besides all your skills, the beginning is very cool! You're approaching the drum kit while the song has already started, headphones on and there you go!!

My favorite Metallica song! Excellent performance!
Super ma belle, heureusement qu'il y a des prodiges comme toi avec de vrais influence musicale. Chapeau l'artiste
Sina, very cool and beautifully playing, it is clear that a person puts his soul.
I always watch, listen to your videos, with great pleasure.
Good luck to you Sina and prosperity, your performance on drums at the highest level, keep it up.
FIRE!!! you know this song in and throughout!! every creak and every single everything!!!!! Awesome JOB!!! keep it up!
My all time favorite Metallica song, I'm now smiling from head to toe! 😁😁😁😁
Fantastic job, Sina!! You are very talented!! Thank you.
I've ever smiled so much during a drum video! Great job Ms. Sina, keep up the great work! :)
Lars Ulrich should see this
Maybe barefoot
@@Gabriele-w7zLars Ulrich could learn from this
My cousin has bought a drum set but needs another bass pedal. What an awesome song and this girl smashed it, big up yourself Ms!!!
After the 4.11 when the storm start Sina is The Thunder Alive!!! She is smashing the Song! Thank you Sina that you learn me how to play this Amazing Drum Song!!!
Es raro que millones de pibes rubios no le escriben
I'm quite impressed! I've played for 50 years, jazz for the past 30+, but have to admire your talent. You're more than a natural with your talents in guitar, bass keyboards, and probably anything you touch.
My daughter had natural talent. Bought her a kit at age 9 and she sat down and played M-Bop by Hansen. She gave up playing as she thought she sucked compared to me.
Good for you already monetizing your amazing gift. Keep it up and stay humble.
James Eginoire jazz is difficult as shit
REALLY great cover. Not my favorite Metallica song, but you're playing that double pedal. I distinctly remember when this song came out. The raw, basic sound, mixed with the guitar crunch.
Just beautiful! 😘
Getting out of your comfort zone makes one grow. You did fantastic. Get out of your comfort zone more often. : )
I agree!
Try "Bleed" from Meshuggah then.... ;)
harika olağan üstü çooooook tatlı bayılıyorum
You did great!
@@Frozenskin Out of the comfort zone, not in the danger zone!
Great cover. Your timmming is superb. Something a lot drummers I've seen on RUclips struggle with. Really enjoyed it.
COOL!!! Nice double kick part on the bridge!!!
Let's not expect too much :D
THE DRUMMER - Lars Ulrich's father Torben is a Danish former professional tennis player who played from the late 1940s to the 70s.
Not being a drummer, she asked our very own comment zone drummer-from-down-under Andrew Hutchison to join them for an extended Q&A session -
SINA: It's nice to have Andrew on board!
He has also recorded with multiple Sina collaborator Victoria K. and you can check out his playing on her "Monster (ReMastered 2018)" video - ruclips.net/video/Sylw2fAeNDw/видео.html
THE ICON - Niki is going to start decorating the Iconology Clinic for the festive season so don't expect to see her for a few weeks!
Thank you very much for your detailed explanation. 😎👍
*Juliet, Rosanna and Andrew* thanks for the interesting read. Everyone have a wundervolles Wochenende!
Thanks Santa! You're going to be real busy soon! Stay well!
Wondering if Sina will do a request from over here in Phoenix Arizona USA. Love Volbeat and Lola Montez
Replacing, by way of having it run more smoothly, the 8ths with 6ths in the kick drum when _that_ riff finally kicks in, that's a special kind of brilliant.👏👏👏
👑👌
This was fantastic beyond description. I love seeing people bring the lumber and crushing stuff like this. Lars would be proud.
06:18 love it.. Goose bumps kid. Even im a daughter of a drummer, play it almost everyday wt my father but i can't make it perfect yet. Alfatihah to my late father.. The best drummer in my heart
Amazing that a person her age is at the level of talent and perfection. What can I say but amazing. Bless you sweaty
Thats sweety opps
Hi Sina I could get used to hese cool drum covers every friday - love it!!
.hi how are you your drumming I s good
Stupendous! I have never been a huge Metallica fan. Now I am. Thanks Sina for another great performance.
Sina...Du bist ausgezeichnet. Best drummer I have ever seen! Bravo!
You will always have a spot in my heart. I show you to my nieces to show them a woman can do ANYTHING she puts her mind to.
This is my new favourite video of all time 😂
Nice to see young girl performing best of rock & metal on drums! I'm very fascinated, thanks for sharing!!! :-)
Her drum tone is fantastic, very well produced.
That right foot was incredibly accurate, well done!
Yes! Love her technique.
Sina you killed it, keep it up. You are awesome!
Has Lars Ulrich ever watched this or your other Metallica drum covers? He'd probably retire... 😂
The part from 4:13 on left me speechless... Besides all your skills, the beginning is very cool! You're approaching the drum kit while the song has already started, headphones on and there you go!!
Is it any wonder why this was the perfect song choice for the first trailer for THE PUNISHER??? Another bang up job, Sina, thumbs up girl.
One of my favorite songs by Metallica. You nailed it spot on very cool. Keep up the good work and continue reaching for the stars. The sky's the limit. Your talent is amaizing.
Sina du bist der Hammer , bitte mach weiter so . GEILER SONG
It's so nice of you to post this. I'm sure if Lars practices long enough he'll learn to play it too.
I was moved and my heart was touched.
Impressive cover. Especially the pedal work. Keep it up!
Love Metallica!!!!! And that's one of my favorite songs by them. Great job!!!!!!
Brings back good memories. Back in high school with my buddies.
