Meytal is one of the most grounded and focussed drummers I have ever seen play. So amazing and her smile says it all she is one with her work a labour of love!!
Anyone who says her passion is lacking is a fool indeed. what she has is passion tempered by otherworldly discipline and rhythm. This is something you should celebrate, very few people bother to develop a skill to the point she has taken this. Basically, say what you will, but her skill is undeniable.

she did great! but her "passion" gets interrupted by whoever was recording her... Whenever she was entering to "the zone" and getting focused on enyoying what she was doing she looked at the cameraman and started smiling and playing rigidly.
This woman should be regarded as a goddess. I can play this piano and guitar.. I could never imagine having a drummer like this or a bassist that keep up. F my life. ❤

Jesus Christ i've been drumming for 13 years and I wish I had nearly as much talent. One of the best drum covers ever done simply because of how fuckin dope Tool is with their wizardry. Rock on man!
I love how much fun she’s having behind her kit! It’s an extension of her soul and she shows it with that smile.
One of the best drummers I have ever seen. And I have seen many legends in concert. She has tone, punch, power, speed, control, timing, feel, all at the right time.

Never thought I'd say this but I think I'm in love. Brilliant talent meytal
Everyone is complaining about lack of "emotion" or "passion". Just because she doesn't throw herself around her kit like a lot of drummers do just for effect doesn't mean she lacks passion. You see that huge smile she always has on her face? It's because she is sat in her favourite place in the world; behind her drums. Also, passion is expressed in different ways by different people. So quit nitpicking just to try and bring someone else down. Far too many people do that these days so try not to be one of them.
Even Danny Carrey or Neil Peart are like that, better players than most of the "emotional" crap.

Technically she's an amazing drummer. I used to think that she needed to show more ferocity behind the kit like Brooke C, but then I thought, I'd kill to play like her. What the f am I talking about? Meytal has a controlled style and you're right, she looks like there's no other place she'd rather be. This is one of my fave covers of any song I've ever seen.
She has a muscians discipline, she does take time to "sell it" the music is the point, but if she took off that shirt....i would probably watch it more than once😁

I just stumbled on this video. This is just really good. Any critics out there, post yourself pulling off a better version. I've been playing drums 40 years, have put out multiple full length records, done tons of studio work and this shit is still really hard. The smile in the middle section shows it like "man, the struggle is real!" Props. Nice stick control, nice controlled dynamics, hits center of skins consistently, never plays through heads. She's a really good drummer.
I couldn't even come close to Meytal's awesome talent! Anyone putting her down isn't a human being simply. Respect to a wonderful and beautiful artist who inspires!

In the professional music world, across all genres, those in the know refer to Neil Peart of Rush as a god of the drums; and rightly so. Neil himself has referred to Danny Carey as a drum god. Mz. Cohen plays one of Carey's most difficult compositions nearly flawlessly, and makes it look easy.

Metyal is one of my favorite drummers of all time. So precise and Technical. An incredible amount of creativity and talents definitely an inspiration for me and thousands of others.

I love how she plays with her bare feet. Man she's a freaking genius. You can really hear the bass and drums and guitar all go together as well as his voice being an instrument but it sounds so clean together. Like new strings on a bass. It's so crisp.
Danny Carey's music just looks like so much fun to play. I think that's why there are so many people that try to cover him. Well, that and it shows technical prowess, but mostly I think it's just fun.

I love that song so much, its look like every member of tool is very talented. The guitar (specially this song in the intro) is awesome. The bass lines of tool are very,very good. The drumms are not that easy,i guess. And the singer is also awesome,his voice in the pot is completely different as in lateralus. Tool is just AWESOME!!!!!

Rachel Dawn Anybody that plays the oboe has my respect, that damn instrument is a nightmare.I play the French Horn myself, which experts have claimed is the hardest instrument.Obviously those experts never played the oboe. The difficulty with the horn is that it is a transposing instrument (has ranges in both treble and bass clef) but modern horns have a special key that does the transposing for you, making it much easier.There is nothing to make the oboe easy.
I've seen a lot of amazing drummers over the years. You easily rock with the best of them and make it look soooo damn easy...just poetry in motion!

She picked a tough song man! I could tell by the faces she made that she heard herself make a small mistake. It happened a few times. But who could fault her for subtle mistakes? It just goes to show how truly amazing Danny Carey is. Still, great job girl! Not many drummers can pull that off

This previously unknown woman musician plays some of the hardest and most difficult drum parts in all of rock in roll...How can a person that is paying attention not be impressed? This would be impressive for anyone, but considering the overwhelming majority of accomplished drummers in the world are men, this makes what she is doing even more impressive.
