    Thank you so much for creating this video!!! This is by far one of the best beginner crochet videos I’ve watched, and I’ve watched quite a few at this point 😂. I finally feel like I got it! Can you recommend a good first project for beginners? Would you suggest a granny square, or something else? I felt myself getting very frustrated with trying to make a granny square before finding this video teaching the basic stitches.

      Hi! Thank you so much, I’m glad it was so helpful! I do have a video teaching you how to make a granny square, but I’d say a good first project is a scarf! It’s easy but still satisfying. Maybe use a chunkier yarn (size 6) and larger hook so it works up faster. Try a scarf in half double crochets for a really beginner friendly project. You could chain however wide you want your scarf to me and just keep going until it reaches the right length for you.

      @@MeeraDere-m2p Yes, of course. I'll keep these in mind. For every project, I'll let you know what yarn size I'm using and what hook size. I can mention what yarn I"m using but I always like to keep it open so people can use whatever yarn they like, so long as the size and hook match the pattern.

    Hey there! I’ve been crocheting chains lately, but something’s not quite right. The chains don’t look like the ones in the video. They curl up and seem really strange. And if I make 50 chains, they look super small. Do you have any idea what might be causing this? I’m not sure if it’s my yarn or something else.

    • @CozyCraftyCute
      @CozyCraftyCute  2 месяца назад +1

      Hi! I’d say you may not be holding your yarn too tightly, creating tension on the hook. Try going up a hook size and see if that helps. And make sure your yarn and hook size are compatibile, for example, I wouldn’t go above a size 6 for a size 4 yarn. I also have a video all about chaining you can check out! ruclips.net/video/1SNGPUACMnc/видео.html

      I mention it in the video. :) size 4 with a 5 mm crochet hook in this one. You can use any size you want as long as the hook size matches the label.

      @dreikringo3523 that’s definitely not going to work 😅 you’ll have to get a size 5 mm at least!
