The Alien is a sad story fr, personally i would have wanted that he actually survived and reached ibiza and later America with Claudia, but the plane/ (or maybe if the donator fled without her) boat reaches somewhere like Florida, and gets involved in his story, and trying to find rick, but by the time rick is already dead and then meets Carl who tells him about everything
If they feel like they need to introduce him in the show at this point, then for me they either have to show something, a flashback/the CRM somehow having Ricks family info on file or it has to be with Rick himself
@@Swell-Films It's such a shame, they barely mention any members of the Grimes family. Carl mentions an aunt in his letter but would it be a sister of Lorie or one of Rick?
I always liked this comic. Rick mentions his brother a few times, saying his party is why rick met lori and how rick was apparently headstrong to help his brother against bullies, or how he felt jealous because he was the golden child and had a good job. It's the little things that mean the most.
I feel like it would be weird if they introduce Rick's brother if he has one at this point since it's been so long and because of no mention. Now if they bring in Claudia, that would be cool in the show at least since the comics are over. Even tho Jeffrey wasn't mentioned by name after Volume 1, he did get mentioned again in the comics. While Rick was unconscious after getting shot in the first battle of the Prison by The Governor, Lori talks with Carl about how Rick always defended him when they were younger even tho he lost most of the fights he got in with the kids who bullied Jeffery. It's a small moment but thats the last time he was mentioned to the best of my memory. Tales or even Daryl Season 3 could be a good point to possibly introduce Rick's brother if he has one but I hope it's not forced or comes out of nowhere
Not Jeffrey, but Evie. In Carl's letter, he talks about his aunt Evie who is always on leave. Granted, it's never established if she's Rick or Lori's sister, and given the flashback to the house fire in The Ones Who Lived where he only mentioned a family of three, it's more than likely that Evie is Lori's sister. But they can remix the the story for it to be Evie instead of Jeffrey. And given that she's may be military, it'd make sense for her to already be there and for her to have survived for so long. Maybe she has a picture of the Grimes family and tells Daryl/Carol about how she hopes to reunite with the family one day and the story goes from there.
The only time Jeffrey is ever mentioned in the show to my knowledge is in the 1st season when Rick is still in the RV and he makes a comment that on a roadtrip his brother was on he got snowed it and ate an entire birthday cake while waiting for rescue but he doesn’t mention Jeffrey’s name.
This could 100% be a Tales of TWD episode. It's just that they'd have to somehow make 5 other episodes that are as good as this. I think a good way to integrate Rick's brother is having Claudia be a character in S3 of DD. Maybe in the last 2 episodes, she could mention helping someone at the start of the apocalypse (maybe something happens that reminds her of saving Jeffrey). Whether it be how we find out Jeffrey Grimes was a character, or just another easter egg for comic fans.
The annoying thing about the hardback is that they could have put some of the other uncollected short comics in it, like the Free Comic Book Day did one a few years back. Call it "The Alien and other stories". It's not a bad one shot but needed more material included for how much the hardback was.

They could introduce Jeffrey in live action by having him be Rick's younger half brother, born out of Rick's father having an affair with another woman. They were estranged from one another until they got older and started to reconnect a few years before Rick got shot. He tried to get back to the States once he found out, but Monument Day happened and he's been stuck in Europe ever since.

Well damn, I didn’t see that ending coming. 🥺 I should have because it is The Walking Dead after all. I’ve heard about Jeffrey Grimes throughout the years but never knew where that came from, since he was never mentioned on the show. I wouldn’t mind seeing this adaptation on an ep of TotWD. But if he’s never seen or heard about in any form, I wouldn’t be sad about it either. lol
Was he ever mentioned in the show? Cause don't remember if he was. I don't see the point of putting on the show if he was never mentioned on the main show.
To me I liked this comic a lot but I find confusing because why didn’t Rick and Lori talk a lot more about Jeff in the comic. Claud would be an awesome character to introduce in the show even Jeff I remember a lot of other RUclipsrs said “Jeff might appear in Darly Dixon or he getting his short film.” I don’t believe it until I see it myself besides Jeff ain’t belt for this world. Let’s see if you guys get that.
I think it would be really profound if they gave Daryl the same fate as Jeff at the end of Season 3, with Carol replacing Claudia. Beyond Carol brandishing a suit of armor (which would be badass), it would tie in with Daryl's motives in the series, since he's trying (and failing) to find his "brother" Rick. It would lend a sense of tragedy to the story, since he would ultimately fail in his mission, but after learning he's alive from Carol and that there's still hope for the world, it could see Daryl finally finding some semblance of peace at the end of his journey.
Didn’t they already made a webisodes about him 😂 I guess people forget I mean tbh I forgot the episode as well since they never once brought him back to the show
Episode 15 miles out Shane and Rick are talking about winter having to affect the walkers, Rick mentions his brother getting stuck on the interstate eating birthday cake and listening to Lord of the Rings. Trying to not be that guy but no one else left this comment
Dude.. They do mention Rick having a brother in the tv show. Have you not watched it? It was a flashback scene with Lori and one of her gal pals. I think it was during the Farm arc in season 2 to 3ish
I think they are going to do the alien story, but replace Jeff with Daryl since he is the surrogate brother with a big regret, carol is going to take the role of Claudia and run into Daryl in Spain. They will go into the story and I think that is where they will kill Daryl leaving carol behind to deliver his apologies.

If he is alive, I would love for RJ to meet him. Judith and Michonne as well. I would love for Dixon. To send Jeffrey home.at the end of season 3. I can’t be the only hoping. They give Jeffrey Grimes, Carol treatment.
I feel like I don't think it would work on the TV show context they would have had to have had some mention of him having a brother at some time before like Carl saying something about his uncle or even a picture of a guy in their house in the first episode when he goes back there
I always wanted Claudia to make it to the Commonwealth somehow
I kinda want to see jeff live
Can you do the novel set in China, The Walking Dead : Typhoon, some point in the future ?
Wasn't Ricks brother was presented on the original webosides?
Well damn, I didn’t see that ending coming. 🥺 I should have because it is The Walking Dead after all.
I’ve heard about Jeffrey Grimes throughout the years but never knew where that came from, since he was never mentioned on the show.
I wouldn’t mind seeing this adaptation on an ep of TotWD. But if he’s never seen or heard about in any form, I wouldn’t be sad about it either. lol
I demand a zombie space alien show!
Yeah I think it’s a fun thought experiment on how it could be done, but I don’t think it should be
I think it would be really profound if they gave Daryl the same fate as Jeff at the end of Season 3, with Carol replacing Claudia.
Rick disowned his brother because he was a jabroni. That's why he never mentioned him. Problem solved.
Didn’t they already made a webisodes about him 😂 I guess people forget I mean tbh I forgot the episode as well since they never once brought him back to the show
Do you think Rick would reunite with Daryl at the end of season 2 of twd daryl Dixon
I think Daryl will find out Rick is alive in S2, but they won't reunite Rick and Daryl until S3. If at all.
Right so it's not canon then
It is canon to the comic universe
Episode 15 miles out Shane and Rick are talking about winter having to affect the walkers, Rick mentions his brother getting stuck on the interstate eating birthday cake and listening to Lord of the Rings. Trying to not be that guy but no one else left this comment
He talks about his cousin not his brother
Dude.. They do mention Rick having a brother in the tv show. Have you not watched it? It was a flashback scene with Lori and one of her gal pals. I think it was during the Farm arc in season 2 to 3ish
That’s not accurate. She talks about her and Rick getting into a fight in that scene.

Honestly I would commend them for having the balls to do that, but I think people would be enraged we never got a Rick and daryl reunion
any minecraft players here?
I'm pretty sure Rick has a sister in the tv series, though it's ambiguous if she's actually Lori's or his.
