    Even though it obviously fell apart pretty badly, one thing that Fear had over the main show to me (at least till season 6 since it seems they lost their budget in the last two seasons lol) was its constant variety with locations. Somthing as simple as seeing a water park in the apocalypse is nice!

    I am guessing The lone survivor was some kind of Survivalist who couldn't get to his base. If you've seen Practical peppers reality show, you'll see most of these Survivalist peppers have a safe house somewhere far away. He probably ran into abandoned cars on road which kept him from going any further. The water park was probably closed in the early days of the apocalypse. So few if any Walker's where probably there. Looking at the park; he decided it would be a good place to hold out, the tower was an emergency escape plan he setup if anything went wrong. He filled it with supplies and that MG, thinking he could stay up there a few weeks hopefully he'd be able to clear out the horde before he ran out of supplies. The slides were also a prefect escape route. The barricade broke somehow he was Unprepared, got bit ran up there Killed as many walkers as he could before he turned on that platform. He'd sit there until our Characters came and woke him up.

    Being alone, there would be no one to assist them, leading to an ignomious death at the top of tower, giving a glimpse to what June could suffer if she continued to push others away.

  • @SubzeroStuff
    @SubzeroStuff 3 месяца назад +52

    It could be that while this survivor was busy and not at the tower, other survivor sneaked up but of course they were bit. The survive most likely hid in the boxs after hearing the man that lives there coming. He of course died from the bite in silence and layed there as a walker. But the day the walkers came all that noise he made with the machine gun woke that walker and that is how it got there!

    • @GustavoHeinlein
      @GustavoHeinlein 3 месяца назад +4

      It is hardly plausible.
      "...of course they were bit..."
      This is a rather vague and precarious 'of course.' Also, a paranoid lone survivor is highly unlikely to simply go on a stroll leaving his well provisioned and stocked tower base unguarded - what kind of paranoid lone survivor during a zombie apocalypse just ups and leaves his base?
      I think it is more that the show writers didn't think it through - which would explain the poor quality of so many episodes. They needed a jump scare and just added magical ninja zombies.
      I call it the 'zombie in a box' screen writing tactic.
      You have a box, it is locked and looks interesting, so your characters break open the locked box and JUMP SCARE a zombie is in the box.
      You don't explain how the zombie got in the box, you just congratulate your writing team on engineering another jump scare.

      So on one of his many looting tours some other people got up there and ether where bitten or died of another cause and surprised him
      Maybe the survivor never got there, explaining why seemingly everything was left
      He came back, saw a hord of walkers broke into his home, maybe even noticed the stranger in his tower and just turned on his heel right then and there and left, and the z up there was the stranger dying

    @viperactual6036 3 месяца назад +25

    And here I thought work was going to be boring! Great video, mate!
    My own theory;
    In my opinion the makeshift barricade of vehicles as well as the barricades lining the perimeter and pool seem to indicate that- at some point- a large group of survivors gathered at the water park for protection. Perhaps it was a mix of employees and locals who sought refuge there in the early days of the outbreak, hoping to find relative safety and a safe place to regroup?
    The entrance/gate is interesting to me because the way it's laid out on the ground looks more like the type of damage you'd see from a vehicle collision- perhaps caused by raiders or another group of desperate survivors- which in turn attracted the ire of the infected, forcing the initial occupants to flee.
    I'd like to think that the initial survivors left in a hurry in whatever vehicles they still had at their disposal (and that weren't part of the barricade) with either one or two opting to remain behind at the central tower, either to give their friends/families time to escape or because they believed that their superior position and tactical advantage of not only height above ground but also the barricaded perimeter might save them in the long run.
    Eventually though the remaining survivors up in the eagle's nest would realize that they were stuck, only managing to eliminate one or two walkers at a time from range while attracting even more because of the large-caliber gunfire (.30 and .50 cal machine guns can echo for several metric kilometers, especially near larger bodies of water) which in turn boxed them in.
    One of the walkers in the tower is dressed in some rather warm knitted wool clothing (or at least that's what it looks like, suggesting they want to stay warm from the cool night winds) so they may have been one of the stranded survivors who slowly perished due to starvation.
    Perhaps both of them were the only remaining survivors from the original inhabitants that starved and died after being trapped by their own intricate defenses? Perhaps they were two opportunistic scavengers that sought refuge in the tower from an oncoming horde- only to be trapped up high with all sorts of supplies except for actual food and drinkable water?
    As a military man I'd also like to point out that the large medical crate bears military symbols *and* is stocked with the same supplies a lot of military medical/triage tents and camps would make use of- not to mention the .30 cal which even has a spare barrel (4:00) sitting atop an equipment crate. While the .30 cal isn't in active use with the US military today I wouldn't be surprised if you could find one at a National Guard armory or in the home of a private collector, which might hint to some military presence at the water park or nearby.
    Realistically though, the number of military crates might suggest that whomever erected the fort in the first place may have been a well-stocked survivor or someone with ties/former ties to the US military as there's at least a truck's worth of supplies still up in that tower.
    But that's just my theory!

  • @aaronpasetti

    I mean if you look at this place it was one survivor but why did he choose a water park? That’s the real question did the person work there or did he hear on a radio that place was going to be a safe zone but when he got there it was a lie so he decided to make it his own safe zone. And just came back to stumble on to all of this. But in the panic didn’t notice. His partner had already completely turned. As he ran up towards. The high caliber turret. Remember lurkers, seem like they’re dead. He could’ve been ambushed the same way June was.. Only his partner was dead, unlike June. Who had Alicia? The reason why I think we see. The waterslide incident in the first place. it’s meant to show us what happened to the survivalist. The only explanation I could give you is that he wasn’t there alone. And that he accidentally got tricked by a lurker. And fell down the slide to his death. I highly doubt that high caliber turret. Was there from the start? I actually made a calendar of Walking Dead Universe places through my local CVS when they had a killer deal on a 18 month make it yourself. This place is actually my August picture. It definitely was one of the cooler places featured on Fear The Walking Dead. I think your idea makes sense. This person might have even been a national guard who abandoned their post and fortified this waterpark in means of keeping themselves alive, only for it to all backfire on them and having to leave all those supplies when a herd moved in. I have to say I really love your speculations on these cool scenes that were so prevalent in TWD, I mean sometimes when I rewatch I notice a little note like a shopping list pinned to a fridge when they are raiding for supplies. Those snapshots of the world before, I can't imagine our survivors not getting potentially trapped in nostalgia for a moment.

    maybe the zombies didn't climb up there, maybe they were a group looking for safety. I'm thinking one of them could have hid a bite while the others stayed on lookout, one taking shots at the walkers below. The person who was bit then turns and start attacking, a few people die in the tower, others try using the slide to escape but end up in that pit?

    This story made me imagine what I’d do if I was stuck somewhere less blatantly built for survival, or even consider if I could take somewhere not built to be lived in and MAKE it somewhere to survive in.
    Like, I know we see this waterpark, and we saw the fairgrounds in TWD… but what about a “smaller” amusement park? Or even just portions of a larger one?
    Like… cedar fair/six flags parks, parts of Disney world/land… as well as more local “amusement parks” that folks from out of state might not know about.
    Idk, they typically have first aid stations in the parks I named, some have haunt seasons which means they have a variety of props (largely flimsy and useless) as well as sets (typically built more durable, with parts that could theoretically be scavenged from power sources to decorations that are made of real metal.
    Some have waterparks, which could be similarly useful with various food vending locations and first aid located within for easy access, so you could always just lock up the waterpark section and call the rest a lost cause as the water parks are typically a more manageable size.
    But there is also the chance to make the entire park APPEAR much more dangerous. If it’s a park that has a haunt then you already have “bodies” you can hang from the rides that are visible from the outside, as well as any zombies you take out.
    These parks also aren’t impenetrable towards smaller wildlife, such as squirrels, raccoons, opossum, birds, and cats. Worst case these could be food options if necessary.
    Idk, I definitely think it’s an interesting idea, and I do with we had gotten something like that. Plenty of amusement parks are closed during the “off season” and could have been utilized, as in some regions of the south it still gets a bit too cold to be riding 100mph rides, but not cold enough to be on a roller coaster (or, from what I heard, the rides aren’t built to BE ridden in the cold & doing so can cause damage)

    One thing to mention is the variant zombies that don’t really
    make sense but can totally climb some barriers. Which is why the place is abandoned, the survivor got scared seeing the zombies climb up and decided to leave as once they were surrounded, and ran out of ammo, they’d still be attacked, also there’s a chance the lone survivor died at the section where all the zombies were stuck at the funnel, rain could have washed away the blood as we see all the paint washed away there, as well.

    Ya know I actually like this as I worked at a pretty popular waterpark here in Texas called Schlitterbahn. Can't deny that I'd myself wondering how I could use the main park as a fortress against the undead. The main section of the park had a long and deep lazy river that went around the whole park and was very well enclosed with fences. Think the only issue was that the main park descended so if you were inside the park you'd have to go up to reach the entrance which means fighting the undead up flights of stairs with a decently wide natural river behind you as you're only way out. There are side gates for Park Service but they are always locked and the only people who had the keys were the park service leads, supervisors and others in high positions, so you'd have to hope they either unlocked them when they fled from the undead inside the park or hope you're Park Service and are lucky enough to have the keys to begin with. I just always find the idea of holding up in an amusement park during the zombie apocalypse interesting.

    I think the survivalist either got bit early by a surprise walker encounter, and made their way up and fought for a day or two before succumbing... or, they may have taken in a survivor that was bit (unlikely, this person seemed pretty paranoid)... or the survivor himself had a health condition and maybe had a heart attack or something and died and became a walker, despite the preparations. The stack of medical supplies might imply they were attempting to self-care in the post-apocalyptic world without a doctor.
    Interestingly, look at the hat on the cartoon dolphin. It is a WW2 German U-boat commander's hat.

    It maybe possible that the water park is meant to be some sort of makeshift FOB (Forward Operating Base) for the US Military Remnants that are either scattered with some civilians they brought with them. They fortified with whatever they can find and barricaded the stairs to make a sort of Watch Tower on the Slide Tower. Soon the Walkers attacked which left the Remnants or survivors eaten alive unprepared or fled into random directions. One civilian survivor attempted to climb up the slide but was bitten in the leg before he kicked the zombie off him. Unaware of the infection he got from the bite and managed to kill multiple walkers before succumbing to the infection.

  • @marcinmarszaek3813
    @marcinmarszaek3813 Месяц назад

    My best guess at the reason why the two walkers are up in that tower is - there were actually two survivors and the eventually starved to death OR - maybe the survivor was killed by some other survivor - the second walker perhaps. They had a gunfight and the man on the tower was shot - but not in the head as he eventualy turned - but the gunfight lured in a nerby group of zombies. So the women rushed up the slides to the tower, hoping she is safe, only to end up bitten by the guy she killed earlier.

    Perhaps this was an early indication of the climbing walkers, whether they climbed the place or went up the slide since they did have the ability to grip and the survivor didn't notice them thanks to the sound of the machine gun.

    The gate looked like it had been rammed open by a vehicle, I think someone rammed the gate trying to get away from the horde and accidently lead them to the park. I think there was two people that had been part of the park, and they slept in shifts. One person went out for supplies leaving the other to gaurd the park, the dead actually gained access through a spot we didnt see in the show. The remaining person radioed for help while in a gun battle with the zombies and the other person charged in using their vehicle to ram the gates open and rescued their partner and they escaped.
