Slash's first signature amp came from most of his original Jubilees being ripped to shreds at the infamous St. Louis riot back in 91. Slash went to Jim Marshall about having some more Jubilees made because he said if anything happened to the amps he had left, he would be "totally screwed." Jim told him that they could, but it would (apparently) be more cost effective to release the amp as a signature model instead. Also Slash didn't get his Derrig LP in the mid 90s, it was in 1986 just before the recording of Appetite as his guitars he had at the time "sounded like shit" in the studio. Alan Niven (GN'R's manager at the time) got it from a guy called Jim Foote who worked at Music Works in Redondo Beach (he's still there by the way). Yes I know I need to get out more! 🤣

@patrickmacleod2415 so you're dismissing the early 90's, with the Illusion albums, late 90's with the Conspirators, and the Snake Pit? 00's with Velvet Revolver?
Amp is correct. The delay pedal is what he uses now, but for the original welcome to the jungle effect a roland srv 2000 was used. For whatever reason that rack unit is the only one that gets the timing identical to the actual recording.

What’s the Fx chain order? Are you running them all through the front? You did mention the DD-500’s are in the FX LOOP. The MXR Micro Amp as well as DD3 in the Front... But not the rest Thanks @Dagan !
Slash guitar parts on appetite for destruction are all my favorite songs by Slash some songs off use your illusions albums and one song on spaghetti incident a couple of songs from velvet revolver...
although slash has more than 400 instruments his most famous are the 3 AFD Les Paul's, the story on the Chris Derrig 59' was he got it a day before Gyns N' Roses recorded AFD because slash didn't have a decent sounding guitar he recorded all of AFD all of both User Illusions I think and a bunch of his newer stuff as of the 2000's after he recorded Appetite Gibson gave slash 2 of the same brand new 88' Les Paul's that kind of look the 59' those were his touring guitars that are really worn as seen on Premier Guitars rig rundown one of the two he named Jessica while he was drunk you can see him talk about it on the video Gibson slash Collection he put away the 59' and the amp he recorded apatite with because people became so obsessed with its sound am I right if not comment it please
slash is the reason i picked up a guitar as a kid, slash is the reason why i play and love my les pauls, im thankful hes still around it will be one of the saddest days of my life when he dies, hes my #1 inspiration for guitarists hes up there with EVH n Clapton
I used a silver jubilee mini combo (2525c) and can get very close. I had to change the speaker to a V30 though. For some reason they come stock with a greenback speaker. So in short - if you get a mini Jube for the slash sound, change out that speaker.
Spend 10 grand on every thing slash and you will have the ultimate cover band gigging setup Amy sound you want from classic rock and blues and 80s hair metal songs and even modern rock. I got lucky when my mom and dad bought me the Marshall vintage modern 100 watt full stack it's matching cabs with the matching head and everything from the for village modern amp when it came out back in 2005 or 2006 I was like 11 or 12 when it came out brand new and Mom and Dad paid $700 bucks for how much it cost me guitar center brand new that year when it came out they were cheap now they're going for five 6,000 bucks but it's the ultimate guns and roses tone and classic rock tones when I play that amp at guitar center and cranked up welcome to the jungle and a couple other blues type songs and Stevie Ray Vaughan and AC/DC on it and then when I dived it out at 10 on the volume and cranked up some AC/DC I know it was the amp I will need and nothing else for gigging. My parents was not rich either it was 700 brand new they put it on lay away along with a Gibson Les Paul standard tobacco burst with slash SIG alinco 2 pickups and I still have it to this day and the guitar plays so much better then it did when it was new it has 15 years of gigs and hours of practice everyday on it so it's broken in perfectly to my playing style which makes huge difference in comfort and tone when bending and vibrato as long as you don't get the fretboard reshaped or filed down after you've done broken the fretboard because you actually have the fretboard wore down in a way where when you do your bins and your vibrato it's bent where you do your vibrating your Benz exactly the way it should be and it's more comfortable for you
Slash was the reason I got a guitar.

Love this channel. Slash was one of the last true guitar heroes
You say it like he's dead lol
I get where he is coming from. He isn’t dead but every dog has his day, and his day was in the late 80s.
@patrickmacleod2415 so you're dismissing the early 90's, with the Illusion albums, late 90's with the Conspirators, and the Snake Pit?
00's with Velvet Revolver?
Your playing just SCREAMS AfD bro... Wow!
Amp is correct. The delay pedal is what he uses now, but for the original welcome to the jungle effect a roland srv 2000 was used. For whatever reason that rack unit is the only one that gets the timing identical to the actual recording.
Without a doubt, one of the best tutorials on Slash’s rig🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Wow, i didn’t know Mike Portnoy could play guitar aswell.
At some point you need to do frusciante
If I could play "a bit sloppy" like that, I would be so happy!
17:15 pull the output master Marshall jubilees have clean channels lol
Yeah I really can't believe HE doesn't know this.

You're enjoying yourself far too much here Dagan.
You are amazing my brother from Warren!😎
I want to be dagan when I grow up!
5:57 "thats totally depending on the room you're in" FINALLY someone who actually knows what he is talking. Great video! Im rocking a DSL100H with a Spark Booster in front of it, going into a Greenback loaded 4x12 to achive my Slash-kinda sound
Always a blast to watch you jam! Even better when you do it to one of my favorite guitarists.
After wasting nearly 40 years trying to play the guitar, I feel physically sick after watching Dagan comfortably peeling off those G & R riffs.
My favourite slash song is November Rain. However I would like to see a a video how to build slash pedalboard
Do Metallica’s rig
Hey Dagan, you remind me of Captain Jack Sparrow!!!🤣🤣
And your love for the songs and the instrument reminds us all that playing with passion brings everything alive, great job!
You are the best Dagan. Thank you for this super generous rundown. Watched this many times over, and enjoy it every time!
What’s the Fx chain order?
Are you running them all through the front?
You did mention the DD-500’s are in the FX LOOP.
The MXR Micro Amp as well as DD3 in the Front...
But not the rest
Thanks @Dagan !
Hi from Delaware, USA. love your videos, you play amazing man!
Awesome! Thank you!
He even moves like him 😂
Me, calmly watching the video:
Me looking at the strap: God dammit, don’t fall
Omg it’s slash😳😍🥺. I can sound like slash too! Omg I love guitar!😭🙌🏾
Slash guitar parts on appetite for destruction are all my favorite songs by Slash some songs off use your illusions albums and one song on spaghetti incident a couple of songs from velvet revolver...
So many Slash's song to pick....my favourite will be Sugar Cane which he did with the conspirators, Sweet child, rocket queen, welcome to the jungle.
although slash has more than 400 instruments his most famous are the 3 AFD Les Paul's, the story on the Chris Derrig 59' was he got it a day before Gyns N' Roses recorded AFD because slash didn't have a decent sounding guitar he recorded all of AFD all of both User Illusions I think and a bunch of his newer stuff as of the 2000's after he recorded Appetite Gibson gave slash 2 of the same brand new 88' Les Paul's that kind of look the 59' those were his touring guitars that are really worn as seen on Premier Guitars rig rundown one of the two he named Jessica while he was drunk you can see him talk about it on the video Gibson slash Collection he put away the 59' and the amp he recorded apatite with because people became so obsessed with its sound am I right if not comment it please
On the neck pickup Slash always roll back the tone control. Overall Dagan was legit.
slash is the reason i picked up a guitar as a kid, slash is the reason why i play and love my les pauls, im thankful hes still around it will be one of the saddest days of my life when he dies, hes my #1 inspiration for guitarists hes up there with EVH n Clapton
You the best Dagan. Always awesome playing and you have style, HURRAAAAAH!
Watching this video a year later, and Dagan still rocks and inspires me to play the electric guitar! Thanks so much brother!
Great vid. I could play with that rig all day. Also don't forget to downtune to Eb and swig a healthy dose of Jack Daniels 😉
Degan that’s a NASTY Marshall sound, I love it, you make everything sound great!
My new favorite video of all time on YT! What setting do you use on the Stealth?
The eq and micro amp adds those nuances that really nail the tone.
Well done great info Slash is my favorite rock/blues player
I have a Marshall MG15CDR. How will i do in terms of sound, paired with the pedals that youve mentioned
I'm so glad I found this video ♥️ *Awesome playing as usual* and I'm looking forward to more gear guides.
I’ve been trying not to buy a November Burst all day. I don’t need anymore Les Pauls but that burst is beautiful!
he uses both the silver jubilee and the jcm 800 2203 but the 2203 he changes the tubes to 6550 for a fatter brighter tone and the afd100 is stock too
I used a silver jubilee mini combo (2525c) and can get very close. I had to change the speaker to a V30 though. For some reason they come stock with a greenback speaker. So in short - if you get a mini Jube for the slash sound, change out that speaker.
little do you guys know he’s been spying on slash for 30 years to figure out all this information.
Slash only uses his black black 1275 for Heaven's Door
I love these. Please keep them up.
YES IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR MONTHS
Amazing, an Ace Frehley video like this would rock 😁
My parents was not rich either it was 700 brand new they put it on lay away along with a Gibson Les Paul standard tobacco burst with slash SIG alinco 2 pickups and I still have it to this day and the guitar plays so much better then it did when it was new it has 15 years of gigs and hours of practice everyday on it so it's broken in perfectly to my playing style which makes huge difference in comfort and tone when bending and vibrato as long as you don't get the fretboard reshaped or filed down after you've done broken the fretboard because you actually have the fretboard wore down in a way where when you do your bins and your vibrato it's bent where you do your vibrating your Benz exactly the way it should be and it's more comfortable for you
Estranged is so underrated.
I honestly was so excited about the AFD amps, but I was really disappointed by them. I bought a Ceriatone 2550 instead and I don't regret it at all.
