I am very challenged in this technology world ! I am alone in the shop with a Zettle (with printer dock!). I am afraid I may have lost a $7,000 sale yesterday because I fumbled around this Zettle so long. Can it network across locations? And does it have a manager oversight function where an Operations manager see logon/logoff times, and sales and inventory numbers across several locations? Great info btw👍

Do you have to enter an amount every time you click a product? I was hoping that I could set a product with a price, then click the product and it would add it to a basket?
No you can add products so you don't have to enter the price each time. We're going to do a new video soon going over all this in depth!
2:00 whats annoying with this ( i have the blue check mark one) is that it keeps losing connection to bluetooth. many times it just wont do it and you have to restart the system and fiddle about which is embarrassing. I also hate the fact that i cant choose what currency i input, fx euros. if im charging 150 euros from a tourist, i first have to recalculate it to Swedish crowns, and that always confuses people. (150 euros is about 1650 sek')
Yes, exactly, when it works it can be great but these issues do come up!
@@BoffixAccountancy very. Im actually experimenten during the off season to see the easiest way to reconnect it. Sometimes it seems that when your phone is hooked up to another BT device like a speaker, that can interfere. Dont get me wrong, i make most of my money with this and for Street selling its invaluable, just need a few tweaks to be perfect. Fx, the app could have a currency converter built in so that it still charged in whatever domestic currency you have, but at least you could show the customer what was going on.
I’ve just bought this to use as a taxi driver. What vat setting do I set to take payments. I’m not vat registered

Do payments taken through the device go into your PayPal instantly or into your bank after a few days
Payments go instantly into your PayPal account, you'll have to access your PayPal account manually to then transfer the funds into a bank account.
Is mobile data included in the cost or would this be charged on top of the percentage? We often have outdoor stalls where there is no WiFi connection
Yes, mobile data is included free of charge which makes it a great deal!

Can you do a charge for a job writing the cc numbers with the other info? I mean with no card presence ?
We doubt it as the software is not very customisable!
How does the sim card mobile data work? Does paypal have an agreement with a certain carrier to include mobile data where paypal pays the bill in exchange for assumed sales and, of course, income from fees?
We would believe that is the case but you would have to contact Zettle/PayPal themselves to confirm.
Can I take payments over the phone? Or send a lino to clients for payment? Or is this card only?
You can take virtual payments through Paypal only with Zettle, we would recommend using the Square terminal in this case as it has a built-in virtual payment feature.
How did you get the one with the scanner? It doesn’t seem to be available as of yet? So I don’t wanna buy one until it’s got that built in

Im having trouble accepting payments as it keeps saying I'm not connected to the Internet... it's paired via Bluetooth with my phone. I'm not too sure why it's still not working. Please do you have any tips ?

Do you need to use your android device along with Zettle, I go offline all the time with Square and you cannot process Chip cards in offline mode searching for New options??. Thank you

No, the whole reason this new terminal is so good is that you don't need the extra device!

Now if only they could make the whole platform compatible with cheaper mobile printers and scanners. There is only one available Bluetooth printer that's compatible and it's over $250 and is never restocked on the zettle website. Also needs a way to do store credit in place of refunds.

@@BoffixAccountancy I actually work as a cashier at a large retail store. I got zettle to use for my side business. The pos system we have at the store is very user-friendly and has a lot of features that would definitely be useful with zettle, even just some basics. It's not bad for what it is, but I definitely wouldn't use it if I had an actual store with a physical location. I would switch to a full feature pos system that has universal compatibility with any equipment and software. Definitely would stay away from anything that only uses apple products. No way to customize lol.
@@zero00044 We're also currently looking at the Square Terminal as another small/side business alternate to Zettle. Hoping to deep dive and see if it has more compatibility, fingers are crossed! Video coming out in the next couple of weeks..
@@BoffixAccountancy from what I've seen, both square and zettle/paypal use their own proprietary software and hardware with very few scanners and printers working with them. Square probably has more available hardware that's compatible but it's still limited. So many of the more affordable bluetooth receipt printers and scanners directly say that they don't work with square. The main reasons I went with zettle I the first place was because I already had a paypal account (still had to create a separate one for business and didn't know that before ordering) and the fact that they had the lowest card transaction/processing fees. Like I said it works for what it is but there could be improvements. Honestly there should be another company that starts up that does what square and paypal doesn't and still keeps it affordable. Maybe by people who have actually worked in a physical store before lol.
From a customers point of view a refund is most often more versatile than store credit.
Any idea if this is coming to the US?
The Zettle site says that the Terminal is coming to US later this year.

Hi another question.
I purchased both the Terminal and the Dock.
When you place the Terminal onto the Dock, is the Terminal meant to charge??
@@jongil6379 Yes the dock does charge the terminal. The dock must be plugged in with the provided charging cable, check out our new video coming tomorrow where we show this!

Yes, it works alongside apple products but the great thing about the terminal is that it works independently without them!
should never have peeled off the film, dropped and smashed screen and it is not possible to replace the screen, Zettle have told me to buy a new terminal! does anyone have any advice on fixing the screens?

My zettle terminal battery standby time only last for 12 hours . Is this normal ?
Yes, we've had similar issues but we use the dock to keep it charged!
Can it hotspot to my iPhone so it can accept transactions?
You can connect with wifi, there is no Bluetooth but it comes with a sim card so you shouldn't have too.

Can I use the zettle card reader in the US?
Zettle's website says that the terminal should be available in the US by the end of 2022!

Their website states that it should be by the end of the year, we would advise contacting them directly for more information.
Does zettle allow deposits to be received? If not, what card machine would allow for this?
Deposits can be taken via Zettle with a little customisation in QuickBooks.
Deposits are also due in QuickBooks soon, keep an eye out on Aaron Patrick, TheQuickBooksChaps RUclips for updates on that!
@@BoffixAccountancy The reason I ask is because I had take a deposit from a customer and Zettle said I’d have to transfer it back to them as they don’t take deposits and that they would recommend we only take deposits in cash, cheques or other means. Would customising in Quick Books allow me to take deposits without contravening any terms with Zettle?

The Zettle site says that the Terminal is coming to US later this year.
I'm having an issue when clients use their card. It says payment canceled. I have to enter card manually for payment to go through.

Thanks for the video was helpful. My mobile is better got camera to scan QR codes and 24h internet. £150 is money invest in crap.
This scans product barcodes not just QR but we do understand its not for everyone if you have the latest smart phones etc.

Yes it has 4g!
This shit is unusable, better look elsewhere! Using it since it came out and its been nightmare. 1st. device had screen issue so it's been replaced second one has some connection issue so it takes like 30/40 to load every transaction. For the price they could use cheap android phone and load their software on it.
Interesting, so what are you using now instead? Have you personally gone down the route of using software on your phone?
