Awesome Drive Blake. ! I ordered a Round Steering wheel from Hannshow. took my plaid to the Track and Yokes is not the best In Performance driving.
On that last long straight, the speed climbs as quickly as you can say:
"80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170" Then time to hit the brakes hard!.
I hate the word game used to deceive. Its EV lap record. there are bunch of other faster production cars and they broke this record with 100% stock, without gutted internals.

Only 106 through bishops. I can't believe the weight hurts the cornering that much.
Incredible machine. Wanted an AMG but the fun noise somehow loses its appeal when it doesn't come with the matching performance. Bit embarassing to drive a loud screaming car and get beaten by a Tesla. Also, I noticed the Plaid is quite the bargain for a hypercar-killer. Much cheaper than slower AMGs too.
How does this time compare to Gas cars in race trim like this Plaid?
Great question! This Plaid is very equivalent to a stock production vehicle, with the exception of better brakes (see video description for details). Suspension / powertrain are all as delivered. Tires are DOT tires with many track days on them and 1,000s of street miles :) And, while the car is a prepped "race car" the weight of the cage + the installed passenger seat offsets any weight from items removed.
This time is similar to a GT3 with half the power. A GT3 RS would be even faster; it’s amazing how much the weight ruins the cornering. However, a GT3 certainly doesn’t hit 170 on the back straight

Where do other factory stock cars with track tires match up with this time at Sebring?
Well since that’s a caged car, would be irrelevant to compare a stock car. But a high teen would be compare to a late gen 996 cup.
This is the third fastest production car ever at Sebring, about 4 seconds off of a McLaren P1!

What lap record was broken? The EV one? What is the ICE record?
The sad thing is I'd never attempt this with a yoke given non variable steering ratio or fixed at street stock. What would be ironic is if Tesla starts offering a round wheel for serious track driving at a substantial markup.
