It doesn't really matter what anyone else says or thinks of you, if you don't feel that way, then it's irrelevant. A good plastic surgeon will do a psych eval and take health history into consideration to make sure that you don't have some misguided idea about yourself or the outcome of the surgery. They won't just do it for the money. They do it or don't do it for the sake of the patient's overall well-being. This doctor in the clip seems like all he cares about is getting paid. This girl is young. She's not even an adult yet. Her body is still growing.

@@NaomiAlicia4242564 it's wonderful that the procedure made you feel better about yourself. The person in the video however is literally a child and objectively too young to be getting breast implants. As you could see, it flatlined her heart. Maybe instead of gatekeeping the comment section, be glad that the comment is actually a pretty baseline opinion and not someone making jokes about how that's the way women "should" think. at the end of the day getting cosmetic surgery ( NOT reconstructive surgery) at a young age, before the body is finished developing is the worst choice any child could make and a bad choice to let a child do if your a parent

I actually felt the complete opposite when I hit puberty. I was an early bloomer and it was difficult because no girl thinks they will have their period in fifth grade and neither did my parents. Needless to say, I was very self conscious and I saw myself as imperfect. I was experiencing such rapid change and my low self esteem did not make it any easier. I distinctly remember wishing I didn’t have breasts at all. That I needed to be “fixed.” Looking back on it all, I always wish I treated myself with more kindness and loved my appearance. Even if there were things I wish I could change then, I wouldn’t change myself now. I found God in my life and He helped me out of a very dark place. I’m only grateful I can look towards the future, content with who I am today.

People just don't prepare kids to face puberty, they simply don't talk/teach children about it. That's why they're not comfortable about themselves because they don't know what's going on and what will happen next.
In females it starts earlier than male and they should have known that their breast will grow, then period. Some parents don't even notice that their daughter's breasts are growing.

And if your friends love you the way you are your partner will do it too. It doesn't matter how you look when someone loves you. Attractiveness and sexyness is more then looks, it's smelling, it's moving it's the way you dress the way you treat others. People who judge you for one part of you're body have never understood the real beauty of nature and they will never understand. (sry for my bad English, I am not native speaking)

Puberty is a 10 year process, usually concluding within the mid 20s. During that time the female anatomy goes through ups and downs in changes due to hormones. In 3rd grade I was a size B, by 14 a D, and almost double D in college. Then after having my daughter I went from that large size to probably a B and then back to a D when hormone stablized.
Ladies, don’t get breast related surgery so early. Mid to late puberty is fundamental to healthy anatomy. Be patient and wait before getting any surgery. Just my 2 cents, most ladies still look closer to little girls at age 17 than they do a mature woman. Let nature get you situated and then take over.
Also, breast implants (any implant, really) can make sure sick and more often have to be removed than not. It’s not worth it to look “fixed” to get male attention only to end up with a sick body.

The hardest part about motherhood for me was how differently people looked at me and how hard I was on myself for what sags and stretch marks and parts you can't control. I've had women tell me I should have aborted because kids ruins your body. We brought a human being into the world and yet all we can think about is what your body "lost". It's so sad and messed up. My daughter the other day said she wants make up so she can be pretty. I always tell her how beautiful she is but at school she sees other girls and doesn't feel like it. I am trying to reassure her that she is beautiful no matter what but I understand those feelings and still struggle with them myself.

I think the woman in green is right, but for the wrong reasons. When arguing her case to the doctor, she _should_ have pointed out how the patient's words and motivation might point to body dysmorphia or some other mental illness.
Instead, she's basing her argument on her opinion that the patient looks perfectly fine. It's like telling someone who has acne that they're overeacting and no one cares that much. It's perfectly fine for someone who has acne to want to treat it rather than live with it. Not to mention her sexist comment at the end. It's very degrading to say that the doctor only wants her to get the surgery because he's a man and inherently toxic. And that, she used that as a bullet point to elevate her argument.
Why do they always have to write black women off like this? Woke and always needing to belittle someone in order to get the moral high ground.

It’s very different when it comes to good clothing vs a surgery that will change ur body for eternity
Brand clothing is an adherence to a social hierarchy where u want to show ur value and worth through items u can easily afford
A surgery to add breast implant, however, is never a way to show ur worth and value, at the very least, it shouldn’t be, people can gain confidence from gaining attractive features, but can never solely rely on such features for confidence, or self esteem
It’s a dangerous slippery slope if u rely on outside appearance for confidence, because eventually people will want it all, lip fillers, Botox, even removal of false ribs to appear cinched, u name it

I am against cosmetic surgeries as well but she has no right pushing her belief onto others. Moreover, patients come to doctors with trust and hope and from what I've seen of her in the show she isn't a good fit to be a doctor.

A doctors job is to also be honest with their patients and if need be try different methods to try and help. If a patient really doesn’t need something done for an actual medical emergency or reason maybe try other steps before jumping to surgery. Especially with a person so young. People are blaming the doctor because instead of offering her counseling to deal with the way she feels about herself first they are ready to jump into surgery. It’s a money thing and money thing only. They play into the persons insecurities to get them to for sure commit. Could be honest tell her she looks just fine the way she is but if she really wants the surgery she should talk to someone for a few months and to see if she can learn love herself the way she is first before surgery because giving her big boobs won’t fix the insecurity she has in her head. No surgery is an instant fix all. Self hate is something that needs to be talked through. You don’t just slap a disguise on and all a sudden feel fixed. She’ll find other things to be insecure about. Which is why so many people start getting plastic surgery and don’t stop. You aren’t fixing the problem only putting a bandaid on the problem that forces you find other problems you think also needs a bandaid.

I guarantee the black woman would not be able to go a year without wearing any of her fancy clothes or doing her makeup or doing her hair and nails. Keep dreaming. She was in the wrong. She had no right!
The 17-year-old knows what she wants and it’s her body, her choice! Neither you or anyone else has that right to dictate to someone else what they can do with their own body.

what is stopping the girl from wearing nice clothes and makeup,
Asian women are smaller in shape and size than black women , but when you watch their movies, you admire them. which means nice clothes and makeup can do the job, not surgery that is permanent but with clothes you can change your style without consequences.

I support the young lady. She’s 17 and it’s her body, her choice which means she could do whatever the hell she wants.
I am sick of people trying to tell others what they can do with their body. Especially people trying to control a woman’s body! 🤷‍♀️
I’ve had situations where people try to tell me that my body is fine the way it is or being overweight is not bad. I don’t need to fix the loose skin or the not so firm breast. 🤦‍♀️ My guy friend doesn’t want me to have surgery to fix my weight loss related issues.
My mother and my sister are constantly trying to convince me to wear jeans despite the fact that I have repeatedly told them that’s not my style. People in my family want me to grow my hair long despite the fact that I don’t like having long hair. I’ve had situations where I’ve gone to get my haircut and I’ve been set on a specific haircut and then all the women will try to talk me out of it.
Repeat after me! My body, my choice! 🤷‍♀️ It’s not hard to understand!
And it’s sad that there are young women like in the video who are actually struggling to take control of their own lives and their own bodies because everyone else wants to control them. 🤷‍♀️

She saw the risk she's small no extra skin .soon they come running for implants to be removed. Parents need to teach their children self confidence and its importance to a avoid what I can call plastic surgery deformation 😅

There’s a difference between clothes, or weight loss surgery (which can help with health) breast implants are just for confidence or an insecurity. She’s 17. Her body will not be the same in 10 years. You saw her getting the surgery right? Meaning she did what she wanted and there was a risk. It goes beyond ‘she’s a child’ it’s because of silly societal beauty standards and her trying to be confident in herself after realizing she doesn’t look like all the models and people they shove in our faces. My body my choice obviously, but counseling for cosmetic surgery should be a thing.
