    Another great video John, really nice to see you fit yourself and show that each shaft doesn’t work with each head

      Exactly. One would think that Fitters would have really good golf games, but my swing is about as real as it gets, and as much as i would love to play my schedule just doesn't permit, very much like 60-70% of my customers.

    Your video comes at a good time for me. I am working on my swing too, and going for a fitting with PXG on March 27. Interested in the 0311 P and XP, Gen 3. Currently play Cobra F8 with NS Pro 950GH stiff shaft, 1" long and 2* upright. Good luck with your new irons this season.

    Nice video. In the same boat regarding swing change and 921 tours. I think I’m going to pull the trigger but nervous about doing a combo.

    • @SwingFit
      @SwingFit  3 года назад +1

      I wouldn’t be nervous at all but here is a little tip. Lofts will not follow the traditional gaps when you make the shift. What I mean is that say switch out at the 5 or 4 iron then we will want to bend it a little weaker closer to the other iron in the set as CG will be a little different and the face just a touch hotter so we will want to use loft to help add a little spin to keep the gapping spot on.

    • @kentao4
      @kentao4 3 года назад +1

      @@SwingFit i figured as much. Im more worried about the hotter face. I have more trouble striking my 900tours for 4,5,6 but the face on the forged are hot. But to your point, makes sense to adjust. Just have to trust a fitter near me

    Thanks for the vid John, that was really interesting on a number of levels.
    If you are working on making changes to your swing and trying to get more rotational force and less lateral, take a look at the vids posted by Marcus Bell of Zen Golf.
    Marcus's teaching is all about correctly utilising ground forces to sequence the lateral, vertical and rotational forces within the Golf swing. His approach is a little different from mainstream Golf Coaching, but the success that he has had in enabling his students to find "their" correct swing mechanics is pretty amazing. He comes highly recommended👍

      @@SwingFit I had a lesson with his assistant Coach last year (before our latest lockdown in the UK) and have a follow up lesson with Marcus at the end of this month. So far the improvement to the sequencing of my swing with the resultant increases in distance and accuracy has been pretty amazing! For a near 70-year-old with arthritis and a heart condition, I'm hitting the ball further than ever and with much less effort!

    • @SwingFit
      @SwingFit  3 года назад

      The JPX tour is a lot more forgiving then a lot of people think, The 921 forged irons were actually a close runner up, and I found them to be a little jumpy, and when I tried the tours I was completely blown away, not only because it felt unbelievable but it just flat out performed better then the others for me.

    Great video, but disappointed that you weren’t willing to take the time to fit yourself properly. Maybe you wanted what you ended with and thus you didn’t want to do this right. Shaft is far more important verses the head. But that means changing and zeroing in on the best combo and not just picking one shaft and saying that’s the only one I want. I personally would never accept this, especially from a fitter.

    • @SwingFit
      @SwingFit  3 года назад

      Thanks for sharing your feedback bud and in full disclosure I did try several other shafts and actually ended up in the new Acura I steel series shafts because it was hands-down the better fit. If you didn’t get a chance to watch the what’s in my bag video feel free to give that a watch because I break down the entire bag and explain why I went with certain components. BTW we are also in agreement I will never do a fit just by looking at one shaft and if anybody experiences this then simply run for the hills

    Smart to not film swings of customers

    • @SwingFit
      @SwingFit  3 года назад +1

      I found it to be more of a distraction and the customers feel like they have to perform if they know they are going to be on camera.
