    I bought the Miura 501 mb last week and they arrived yesterday. I've done 1 round so far and they're so easy to hit! I'm on 16hc, played for 4 years and am 59 yrs old. I came off M1s. I'm sold on them and don't let anyone tell you that you're not good enough for blades. My favourite part would be the sound.

      I hated my M1s
      Just picked up some Bridgestone J40's

    Many words of truth here 👍🏻 my first set had I bought from a big brand had a 7 iron I couldn’t hit and it really screwed me up. A few years later I managed to buy some Muira CB501s and was obviously presented with custom clubs. During the fitting I was asked to use a couple of my own clubs and the fitter said please use the 7 iron and it turned out the lift and shaft were 5 irons. Using the Muira was like getting out of a Fiesta and driving a Bugatti Veron

    Nice video, thank you very much for your efforts. Even for a Golf beginner like me was the video easy to understand. A very good source of understanding the mechanics of Golf a little bit better as well and how each club fits into my personal way of playing golf.

    The Miura and Honma have a strange retro look to me but Im sure they feel great.

    Given the price points and having unfortunately never tried the honma or miura (though always wanted to try the latter but tried edel and other Japanese brands), and recently having tried many irons at same time with similar or same shafts - ranging from tm, ping, apex, jpx- am homing in on the z785s. Having had srixons before on balance like the feel, looks, good performance, workability and value.

    Homna numbers sure looked better. Great feel and less dispersion. Bought a set for my grandson. He could not believe the buttery feel and distance he was getting.

    Russell unique review ~ If you have to ask the price then you probably should not buy on two of the models ~ really enjoyed the video. Some people might find a blade 3 iron with tour loft 19 deg ish a bit of a handful but on baked hard fairways not a bad option .

    Absolutely brilliant. At the end of the day when you’ve done everything physically possible with the mechanics of your swing and perhaps have to accept/come to terms with your physical limitations in terms of flexibility, swing and ball speed etc the only possible way you can gain or optimise your potential is by have a good club fitting session with someone who knows their stuff and can give you the best possible configuration of head, shaft etc to make you the best you can be. I really, really don’t think we amateurs realise or appreciate the difference these things can make. Let’s face it, if you were spending £1200 on a suit for your wedding you’d expect it to be fitted to you wouldn’t you. Same thing. The list is endless, flex, torque, kick point, shaft length, swing weight. Marginal gains is what it’s all about when you’ve done everything mechanical regarding your personal swing. I will definitely be coming down for my next set. Great content. Thanks.

      Publicist drivel. Not the first time you’ve been guilty of this. The site’s good enough to survive on its own merits so shut the fuck up you condescending moron.

    • @ianrobertshaw6245
      @ianrobertshaw6245 5 лет назад

      Derek Whyle is your comment aimed at me or Russell and his site..? Either way, it’s a ridiculous thing to say. Even out on tour there are vans there to tweak and adjust club related issues and they’re professional golfers with great swing mechanics. How can you possibly think that amateurs wouldn’t benefit from a proper club fitting to help them. If you haven’t got anything constructive or helpful to say stay off the comments section. There’s only one misinformed moron here.

    Hello Russell! Just a quick one for you! I'm a huge fan of the Miura MC-501's (and your vids! :) ). What's your take on other reviews that say they have a lot of (maybe too much ) offset? I hit the ball right to left. Is this offset going to increase this right to left tendency? How different in terms of forgiveness would you rate the MC-501 against say Mizuno MP 20 MB's ?

      Thanks Chester but I was after something a little more precise as if I accidentally ended up on the Coventry ring road I might never escape the gravitational pull of the black hole in the middle of it. Am I right in thinking it’s at Stonebridge or West Mids GC?

      No it’s Solihull, Four Ashes Golf Centre. Come down and say hello

    • @JDSFLA
      @JDSFLA 5 лет назад

      Phil, I hope the black hole has not swallowed you. I live in Florida, so it's a rather odd feeling to be giving you directions. However, the address is: Four Ashes Golf Centre, Four Ashes Rd., Dorridge, Solihull B93 8NQ UK. I would fly right over for a group lesson, but it's 79 F (26 C) and sunny here, and the golf ball goes further when warm.
