It will be better to recommend or even include new shocks for all 4 corners. You changed the travel length and stock shocks will be on a constant extend stage; making the ride stiff and not absorbing the energy from bumps and braking action. just my 0.02 cents
I don't understand....a spacer below top mount or above it, it still effects the lower CV angle either way. Why not just have one upper spacer for the entire front lift then. All i can tell is it makes the spring stiffer by compressing the spring with the lower spacer.
JustinMaxwell00 do not get this lift. Having to take it off because of the cv angles. Because of the no dif drop it fucks it all up. Other then that the lift was alright
It's basically all spacers that will destroy the stock shocks in no time...did that, now i went with bilstein 5100 which they claim at top is 2.8" front...question can i install a 4" keeping my bilstein on ?
Now when installing the adapter to the strut top hat does the top hat need to be moved sideways so the strut extension will line up when bolting back to the vehicle ?
I have really been thinking about purchasing this for my 2015 ram but others are saying that it will ruin the CV boots for the four-wheel drive is this true
Why can’t you just have a larger spacer on the top hat and avoid dealing with compressing the spring all together. There are other lift kits with spacers that can do that. There must be a reason why you do it this way, so I’d like to know why before 8 make the purchase. Also, by putting a spacer within the spring, doesn’t this stiffen/change the ride quality?
It’s to put the spring under a bit more preload and make the ride quality match with the heavy wheels and tires that will be used once these trucks are lifted
@Oz Gültekin yes not sure if things have changed or not as I'm now in a 3500 but a proper 4in kit drops down the front differential to keep cv axles around proper angles. I had a bilstein leveling struts in my 1500 and kept them at 2 because 2.75 inches was a bit much.
@Oz Gültekin your welcome. Even if you go with a smaller level kit you want to look at some better upper control arms. Zone makes some nice ones or even the ones in this kit.
It's working fine on mine. I installed it before they added that "no ECO notice". I called RL and they said they had never tried it on one so couldn't verify it, but were confident it would probably fit. 2.5 years and no issues.
Lift don't necessarily means level...some lift end it up level some don't... This to my opinion it is a shitty lift, whatever lift is made with spacers and not changing the shocks are shitty cause the spacers will drive funny and will wear out your stock shoks quick.
Spend your money right and get a good lift. This doesn’t come with a differential drop so it really fucks up the cv axle angles. I’ve had to replace 2 cv axles within a 2 month time span. Do not recommend this lift it is a POS
Indeed .. she lied .. all you need is a couple of jack stands a jack and tools 🛠... no need for spring punch .. you can use the jack to to lower wheel assembly spring comes out after three bolts removed above spring shock housing.. then just replace the new good stuff .. it don’t take 4 hours and it’s fun working on your own truck when it’s made easy .. 😃🇺🇸🌍

@AmericanTrucks Ram - Why is the EcoDiesel excluded? Isn't it the same suspension and the motor only about 50lbs heavier than the Hemi? Thanks!
What's the book time for installation ? Having this done on my 2020

@@jonathantackett1901 huh?
i guess I am kinda randomly asking but does anybody know of a good website to watch newly released tv shows online?
Suggestion: while you have all this removed, you may as well replace the exhaust manifold bolts while you have better clearance...😊

I was thinking the same. They should used a longer shock in the front.
I like it! Finally someone gets a little greasy on a video!
$800 seems kind of crazy for a bunch of spacers.
Till you have used cheap ones and they break. lol
That's why you go BDS

on my 2011 the cv angles were horrible. I put a zone diff drop in and got the cv's straight again back to stock. The kit itself is very good
roadrnnr2008 where did you purchase that at?
Where were you able to buy the diff drop from, Ive been looking everywhere for one?
How did the CV angles look after the lift was installed? I've heard negative things about this. Maybe you can speak to how it rode too?
My thoughts as well...

I have this lift on my truck and also have fox coil over with it but still have slight rake, what can I do to fix it?
Love this video definitely a 5 wrench job 😀
can someone tell me why the ecodiesel excluded? what is different

Great vid . Do you know if I can get this kit to fit with Fox coil over shocks . .? And Fox rear shocks . For Dodge Ram 1500 2012 ... thank u
Will this work on crew and qaud cab 2013 and 14?
What about axle angel ??
That is about the worst way to torque the strut top to spacer and where is the lock tight?
Did that bottom control arm bolt get put in backwards at 19:11?
sure did
Good eye Sir! 🧐

Does this affect the angle of the CV shaft after it's been lifted
it does but not drastically like some other trucks. I have a 3 inch spacer and the cv still seems level.
35’s looks small on that truck
Great video keep it going
What size and brand of wheels are these?
How do the cv axles look
To me, The safest way for the 4wd CV angle to remain at the best angle is just do a body lift
And have ugly ass gaps and see between the body and frame
Great video very informative
Thanks for watching! -Zach
Curious about CV angle. And also did you need to adjust brake lines?
Everyone on ramforum says to avoid it like the plague lol
