I guys are bad-ass I appreciate everything
All yall are great 👍
What side steps are those?
Great video. Thank you
Love it
Thank for watching! -Zach
My 09 Silverado came with 20’wheels I just bought 35’ AT tires
Fact: You don’t have to change your OEM wheels in every circumstance. Some sierras/Silverado’s come with 20” diameter wheels and those do not need to be replaced unless you want to.
Yea my dads Texas edition cameras with 20” wheels and 32s stock
But IIRC you will need to run spacers to clear the new knuckles.
Most lift kits come with spacers so you don’t have to replace the wheels.
Thank you! I still plan on replacing my wheels and tires, but a few months down the road.
Oem wheels on lifted trucks look tarded. Will need spacers so they don’t look sucked in. And everyone knows you couldn’t afford to lift and and wheels. Which might be dumb if you care but I would just save and do them at the same time. Plus u will need some nice amp steps 😉 the lift is the cheap part is what you will figure out
For 3 inches spindles need sway bar link be longer too?
Any suggestions on back brake problems on my z71 4x4 1500 GMC Sierra, I am off in the mud a lot I can keep brake pads on back.
Can I use a different struts instead the factory ones 🤔
Would I be able to use my factory 22s on my 14 Silverado
Do you have to tune your MPH gauge after the 4.5” lift install and front end alignment too? Want to make sure so when I do it Ik I have to get those two things done when I’m done with the install
I could definitely install this myself the only problem I have is the welding not a very good welder but I can do everything else
mespenschied I think that welding part you could leave out and do it later
Maybe.... was thinking i could have my brother weld it for me he knows how to weld
Definitely cut and weld while it is apart and the diff is out. Don’t skip it. The frame needs to be strengthened or it may cripple/tweak frame. If you can’t weld don’t do it. Leave it up to someone with the skills and know how. Ur truck is essentially “totaled” once the frame is cut and your insurance knows lol. Just don’t tell them. The front diff will need cutting and grinding. Frame needs cutting and plate welded in. It’s not as fun and easy as some people make it out to be. I’d let someone do it for me the next time around.
Can I use my 2014 5 spoke 20x9 inch rims ?
I want to add 17’s with 35’s what size spacers do I need to run that on this kit !?
my silverado year 2018 raised it 6 "and breaks the tripoids
You don’t need to get the driving rack off?
Did I miss it? What's the tire size on this combo? 35x? They look smaller than 35x12.5.
What side steps are those?
What brand are those side steps?
dude.afety goggles man!
Does the rear look higher or is it just me??.
Awesome.. thanks for sharing! I know there's a lot of editing to this video but it doesn't seem too hard. Quick question will the same apply for the Zone 6.5 kit? Thanks!
Thanks for the love, Larry! Some of the install with this kit and the 6.5" lift will be similar, but not all of it will be the same. I recommend following the instructions for your specific kit to ensure proper installation. -Zach
Is this a re upload?
Hey guys I installed this kit and it’s a great kid that rides amazing
But it’s slightly too high for me to work in I use my truck for work
I need to get the front down to a 3” or maybe 3.5” what should I do?
Just replace strut spacer? Coilover? Money isn’t an issue I just needd the truck to look presentable
Crank your keys down, it will also ride smoother.
Cut 3 coils from your springs
This is the kit I’m doing on my 2014
It’s the perfect work truck lift but I’m doing 33” tires
Any metal trimming for the 35s? I also am running color matched fender flares
Pics or it didn't happen
What size wheels and tires are on this for the 35" tires. I really want this lift but have been told by many people that 35's wont fit but that's the tire selection I want except for id like to have Nitto Ridge Grapplers.
I also have a Ranch Hand Summit Bullnose front bumper so it has a bit more wheel well clearance than the stock bumper.
If I have to break out the welder then I'm doing a complete solid axle swap.
Will this void the factory warranty in any way 😎??
Can I change the strut spacer out with the pro ryde 3” leveling kit?
I installed this kit and like the back of this truck the way it is but the front is about an inch too high
Xtermin8r187 B your fucked you cant pit a smaller spacer in there it will mess up all the suspension angles.
Raise the back
How can i get you to work with my truck ?
Is there a way to avoid cutting the crossmember bracket?
With this kit no, I have this kit
Look into RC 3.5” lift kit this is the kit I wish I went with because 4.5” has too much fender gap and other reasons
Or just keep it stock
How wide are the tires for them to fit on the 4.5 lift
So typically it depends on what size wheels you are running on the truck. If you have 20" Wheels you can fit 33x12.50s with little to no rubbing. 35x12.50s would be a little trimming and cutting
16 Silverado with zone 4.5 lift can I up grade my front struts to coil overs?
Yes, but they are expensive
@@evanpugh7599 what would you recommend?
does this make the truck completely level? Or is there still some rake?
This lift kit will make your truck completely level! -Zach
Is this truck with or without the add a leaf
I’m doing the add a leaf for extra $50
I regret doing the add a leaf
Damn does all of this need to be done to attain a 4 inch lift up front with 4wd? I had 2wd truck that all I did was a spindle lift, heim’d upper control arms & longer steel braided brake lines & it seemed to be okay. It’s not that simple with 4wd?
Yeah, the diff in the front makes everything a bit harder when it comes to adding a more aggressive lift height.
Bought the zone 6.5” lift which is this lift plus a level kit added. Kinda wish I had gone with an actual 6” lift. Front end looks too low and has no more room to lift. Good quality but feel like I got fooled into actually buying a stretched 4” lift. But oh well. Kinda butt hurt about that
Hey you can add a 3 inch body lift if you want to go higher.
Body lifts look retarded. Don't do it. You can upgrade your spindles, order the part thru Zone or BDS. you can probably get the part from any company really.
@@OfficialRay3 they have an upgraded spindle? For 4wd front end? That what lifts it two more inches? I haven’t found or seen that. Plus I don’t think the geometry would be correct without further dropping the lower crossmember to match the added length of the spindle.
@@sdsupratt yea you're right would have to drop everything else too. Aftermarket upper control arm might help.
I have coil overs on the 6.5” zone lift set at 7” and my top ball joint and cv angles are just fine better than anything rough country has lol
Can you do it with a Z71 thats 2wd?
z71 2wd ? are sure of that ? z71 comes with off road package so it has to be 4wd
@@waals2663 there are 2wd z71. Z71 is just the RPO for the offroad package. no longer includes 4wd
what side steps are those?
Running boards / nerf bars are a waste of money unless you’re 70+ years old
Tell me where I can get that bumper n how much.
DV8 bumper
$900 something
Can you say Voided warranty?
Zone and BDS does not void your warranty. Most good dealerships will honour warranty if they do the install as well.
I mean... if you have the money for this lift and all the labor charges, why on earth did he use that rusty rancho strut? Counterproductive IMO
hammering the hub??? not sure about that... i don't want hammered scratch on my hub.... you can obviously avoid that...
You destroyed the break lines
You really need new rear brake lines instead of that stretch...
I've looked, no one makes an extended rear brake line. You would have to bend and flare yourself
You are not fitting 35s on a 4.5 inch lift period especially a 14 to 18 silverado you need all of 7 inchs to do 35s with no trimming other than minor plastic trimming under the bumper.
I’m running a 33x12.50 on a leveled Tahoe idk who told you you can’t put 35’s on a level not everyone wants a 6in on 35’s with shit tons of wheel gap seen plenty of people run the 4inch fine with low offset minimal trimming
I had 35s on 22x12 wheels and with 6.5” lift it rubbed like hell. Had to cut and pound and it still rubbed. If you don’t mind having ur wheels be inside the fender then it could happen. But not if you like some offset… just depends on the look you want I guess. I went big and for what I wanted cuz if I went conservative I knew I would have regretted it. I love the way it looked. And it was worth it
Drink every time he says "flange"
A 4.5 inch lift has nothing that needs welding on it
I feel that cutting into a truck just for a 4.5" lift look it just not worth the cost. My two cents.
4.5” is more than it looks
I did this kit and actually wish I didn’t go this high
TheBlack Metal if u go higher you got to go bigger with ur tires. If u go to 35s on a 1500 regearing is almost a must. And if u daily it and still want the good looks of a lift it’s perfect. And u can always go up but not back down.
Leveling kit crew!!
Caution: You should always use a dust mask to prevent dust in the lungs.
Plastic spacers for the CV axels? 🤔 for that much money. Nothing should be plastic in that kit!
Does GM know that the undercoating is flammable? Lol that doesn’t seam too smart! If anything it should be flame resistant. But I’m no engineer or anything.
There’s a lot of cutting for $1200 and it’s only 4” of lift.
But the truck does look good after all that.
Francisco Quintero “But I’m no engineer or anything.” Obviously. There any many different types of industrial plastics. They are used a lot more applications than you may think. They have extremely high impact ratings, high tensile strengths, chemical and corrosion resistance , salt water and moisture resistance, high energy absorption, and abrasion resistance. The list goes on and on. Research some of it before having such a solid opinion and dismissing something you know nothing about.
Polyethylene, Polyphenylene, Polycarbonate, Diallyliosphthalate, polystyrene, etc. etc.
BAC - actually I am an engineer. Been working in the aerospace industry for the past three years. My comment “but I’m no engineer or anything” was sarcasm. Sorry I didn’t make that clear for those who cared to read my comment.
I’m sure there are plenty of different types of plastics that would be sufficient to cover the minimum requirements for the application. But in my opinion there is no plastic that would be a better substitute for an actual metal spacer. Solid billet aluminum. Stainless steel, titanium, inconel. I can understand if the manufacturer was trying to cut production cost but for as much as they are charging for the kit, that doesn’t add up for me.
Maybe before assuming some one doesn’t know what they are talking about try letting some ones opinion no affect you so much.
If you like the kit. Go ahead and get one. More power to you.
The kit and install looks terrible.
Check out the rough country video much better all around.
God nothing looks worse than cheap fender liners. Great install otherwise!
$1200 is peanuts for an ifs lift
What does IFS mean?
Independent Front Suspension
JeepCherokeeful
Is that good or bad
I haven’t heard that expression before
Xtermin8r187 B it’s an inexpensive lift
buyer beware. You get what you pay for. As for an IFS system I would expect to pay nothing less than $2,500.00 for a quality lift that doesn't leave you swaying back and forth over the road. Just my opinion.
What is Chevy thinking with the UGLY SQUARE Wheel wells.🤮🤮🤮
Correct. It looks ugly!
