- The first year of marriage is often the hardest, but for Josh Fulgham and Heather Strong, it was catastrophic. Just 11 days after their wedding, Josh was jailed for threatening Heather with a gun. The honeymoon was over, and their marriage vow ‘til death do us part’ took on a grave meaning.

The first year is the hardest? I would have thought that would be the easiest. You still like each other.
was about to comment the same, isn't it still honeymoon phase
Datings the honeymoon phase... then you realize "oh this is forever"..
Right you’re still in that honeymoon phase if it’s that bad in the first year it’s just not meant to be
For much of our history man and wife didn’t live together until after the wedding. The first year is the hardest because for the first time people had new roles to play within the family as well as learning to live with a new person and the family dynamics they brought with them. Now a days people live together for years before marriage, so the situation is different.
I personally think its intended for the idiots who decide to get married within a year of knowing eachother.😅😂
So you can sleep around get a girl pregnant and go back and forth between two women but heaven forbid she gets fed up and decides to move on after YOU threaten her
that’s why messing w a narcissist can be deadly cause they triangulate and you never know if the other person is mentally stable or what they are capable of doing. not to mention even a mentally healthy person can snap when their feelings are played with which is all a narcissist does

The first thing he says to her, why did you do this? I was yelling at the Tv , you pulled the gun you idiot!
We live in a society with the victim mentality these days where everyone is a victim, and no one has any self accountability... it's easier to blame everyone and anyone but themselves!

Abusive men are not the kind of people who take 'learning to be accountable' as something that applies to them. It's never their fault.

As soon as we found out, we put our grief aside as a family and did everything in our power to make sure she stayed with us. I found out he was gone over the phone and I immediately hung up and started making phone calls to get her. We ALL wanted her. I hate to judge Heather's family too harshly but how, as a family, could you ever allow those kids to go into state custody after losing both their parents? Perhaps grandma was too old or not healthy enough to raise them but surely there was some family member who could do it. How could you not fight for her kids? I just don't understand it.

Listening to his real final confession made me so angry, and so sad for Heather. It feels like he still had complicated feelings for her which, combined with Emilia's jealousy, drove them do this. I'm just amazed that they thought they'd get away with this! Killers in cases like this are blind to the reality that if you just take a couple steps back and look at the situation, NOONE ELSE would do it! It's basically obvious. The first round of interviews would reveal the custody issue and love triangle, the jealousy. I'm left with so much empathy and sympathy for the families, and especially the children. Why does marriage have to be so difficult for people? Because they marry someone they're not supposed to. 14 years of marriage and my husband and i have NEVER had one fight. Ive never even heard him raise his voice. We're best friends and have NEVER put each other down once.❤
Always ask yourself before deciding to commit a crime, what if I/we get caught?? Very important question. Rip girl ❤
What a "QUALITY" family, one goes to jail, the other one in less than 3 days start fooling around. No respect for their bodies and lives whatsoever.
Thank you for your post
I think I love the detective a little bit. Especially during the “actually a handwritten letter looks better!” part. He was practically on his lap 😂
Edit: scratch that. I Googled him (and have just seen the end of the video). Are there any good people left?!
I'm not going to excuse his behavior but we see firsthand the monsters he has dealt with multiple times in many of these interviews all over yt.
Pretending to be friends and polite with people he actually wants to beat the piss out of probably took it's toll on him.
He needs a break and therapy. I hope he gets better and the wife is in a better place
@@nsahandlerya and I guarantee alcohol was involved. I worked a similar job and the stress gets to you and dealing with the worst of society gets to
You and usually you don’t deal with it you just drink and they can turn ugly really fast in a relationship.
Not excusing it but trying to explain how it can happen to
Seemingly otherwise good people.
@@nsahandler so its THEIR fault he beat up his partner and stalked her for months? he sat across from killers and molesters and thieves and managed not to beat them up, yet he couldnt grant his own partner that guarantee
No excuses…
@@alaskayoung3413you know what very cool of you to share that . People need to hear this and know it takes its toll. Good luck to you man and thanks 😊for
Love love this Channel am glued to it 😊
im half way through the video but this detective is a certified badass.
Edit: Oh.. ouch..
Please, please, please, STOP adding this background noise, it's absolutely awful. It's like a hammer hitting my head 😨
Right 😂 it makes me jump when I’m trying to fall asleep 😂
I hate the background music too. Get rid of it please
Weird, I never even noticed it xD.
@@reignman30 Because you have a good filter in your brain. But, for some of us, this filter is missing, it's part of neurodiversity. We hear everything all the time, we see and notice things you never pay attention to... etc. We're all different and background noise can be irritating for some people.
You present cases in the clearest, easiest way to follow. Even cases that I’ve seen on multiple channels make a lot more sense on yours. Thank you!
I think the first year is the hardest. You don’t truly know each other until you live together. You learn about quirks and differences and how to make it work with all your uniqueness.
"canoodling" 😂 one of the many reasons I enjoy this channel and narrator
WoW! That twist at the end!!! 😱
Always respectful and insightful videos from this channel 👏 ❤
That's unfortunate to hear about the detective at the end. I genuinely liked him throughout this case. I hope he gets his shit together.
you genuinely liked a stranger you dont know? no wonder people in power get away with abusing their power. its crazy how much trust people blindly put in someone with a badge
What a bunch of idiots. I've heard some negative things about the detective, but he's good at his job. Rest in peace Heather 🙏
Ty kindly for the update at the end.
Just watched this on Hulu woman on death row
That’s where I saw this before👍
The casual brutality of this utterly senseless murder is terrifying.
What horrible disgusting people! That poor girl was probably absolutely terrified
Another horrible story. Thanks for the video. This kind of stuff repeats itself over and and over again 😢.....
The suspenseful background music is a nice touch :)
Everything about this is ridiculous. Girls sticking by a guy who threaten to kill them. The new girlfriend knew Josh killed his last girlfriend for ratting him out and here she is ratting him out. Josh withdrawing money carrying his leaf blower. The list goes on.
Some human beings suck at being human and we had a few here... R.I.P Heather..
