It’s not trauma for everyone, thankfully us humans tend to get used to stuff if we see it enough & become pretty stoic when you see enough even if it’s not necessarily a dead body.
I worked 911. We ask for callers to give info so officers know what they are coming into. It's very important for the people on scene to see if the person is beyond help. If someone is hanging we ask for them to cut them down and see if CPR is possible. The poor callers are traumatized but 911 operators are there to try to help the person who is down and they need the help of the public to do that till responders arrive. We once had a caller who found a man face down oon the side of the road. The operator taking the call told him to roll the man over. He kept refusing. He finally said he would and found a small female passed out under him. They had both overdosed and needed rescue breaths until help arrived. They both survived.

Because if there are signs of life they will send the ambos out immediately but if there are no signs of life they won't prioritise it, essentially they just needed to know if she was actually dead or not so as to rush to try keep her alive or to not waste resources. The guy can say no and it wouldn't be a problem.
It's ALL because the caller said the line, "I'm not sure if she's dead or not." That opened the possibility up to the chance that the caller may not have found a dead body, but rather a person barely alive who was in need of first aid immediately or they would soon be dead. If the caller had determined that the person was still alive, then the operator would go through questions to know the severity of her condition, and then go through medical procedures with the caller if immediate first aid was necessary sooner than medics who would be called would be able to provide.
If you recall what the caller said, he stated he had not noticed her when he walked by. It’s common sense that if you see an intact body one would check for life.

@I-serve-you-tea none of us were given a life like that so couldn’t possibly predict what we would do in that situation. Most people do not kill I agree.
The irony was from what I read is that she had a 2 year old daughter and her mother was going to report her to child services for being a prostitute! This is why it happened. Yet her own mother who lost custody of her years back and yet another child, son, (father gained custody) was a hooker herself. Talk about pot calling the kettle black! Regardless though, no way the mother deserved to die.
Its very sad that she killed her mom. She was born into this lifestyle. Then saved from it from her adopted family. But still went back to it on her own accord. Probably trying to reconnect that was huge mistake. Since the mom was still living a dangerous life. But hooking with your mom and then killing her. Thats just built up hatred that turned to murder 40 yrs is a fair term.

@@RelboYep. You don’t have any kind of positive legal obligation to help the police solve any kind of crime. (Maybe a moral obligation but that’s beside the point.). Basically you can’t lie to the police, and you can’t stand in the way of their investigation, but you don’t have your help them out. He didn’t commit the murder. He didn’t help dispose of the body. Depending on whether he knew anything about it in advance, he could possibly be charged with aiding & abetting but that’s about it, and that’s going to be hard if he doesn’t talk.
Then lucky for you you've never been in such a situation. I don't know how precious so many of you are but none of that was unusual. The priority was for the operator to ensure the victim didn't need immediate medical assistance. That's what the operator did. Everything after that was to establish immediate risk to the caller and the attending.
Sad to say, but the victim was an undeniably sh!tty mom to both her kids, especially Chrissy. She certainly was NEVER going to win Mother of the Year! Her daughter never really stood a chance of growing up to be a normal, functioning member of society, and Teresa definitely never had a regular, healthy mother/daughter relationship with Chrissy. Though Chrissy appears to be a very calculating individual, her mom is almost entirely responsible for how she turned out. All the commenters saying "how could she do that to her own mother?", I’d like to see how fondly they would view their "mother" if they’d been raised in similar appalling circumstances. That Teresa deliberately and maliciously set out to nuke her daughter’s sobriety and chances of regaining custody of her own child is indicative of what an awful woman she was. She didn’t deserve to be murdered, but all the commenters painting her as a loving mother, and Chrissy as some kind of demon child, are deeply in denial about the reality of exactly what kind of person Teresa actually was.
This parent/child dynamic happens way more often than I think you believe, it is quite common and even though awful, depressing and hopeless, pretty well all of the people in this situation do not commit murder of one or the other.
So true. I have always been worried about the mother I would be due to my own mother. I have created a village for my kids so they can be taught genuinely about life and not just my example
Not really, he saw what he could really only identify as an incapacitated person from a distance, dispatcher needs to know what type of assistance to send as well as potentially instruct the caller to start life saving aid if appropriate, can't do that without actually finding out if the person was dead which in this instance they were, in order to do that the caller needs to approach the person in distress and check em over, dispatcher actually did nothing at all wrong.
Sometimes it's just brain damage. I don't remember my phone number that I've had for years and last time I was out and about I couldn't tell you most of the places I went. He drove home to New Bern, N.C., one weekend, and he called me to say he had just called 911 about a car that had wrecked into a ditch, and it was about 10ft down. He said the operator asked him if the driver was still alive. My dad told me that he told her. "I am sorry, ma'am, but I cannot go down there.

Why would the operator ask if he could go closer?!?! That poor civilian.
Because if there are signs of life they will send the ambos out immediately but if there are no signs of life they won't prioritise it, essentially they just needed to know if she was actually dead or not so as to rush to try keep her alive or to not waste resources.
The guy can say no and it wouldn't be a problem.
That makes sense, but then to look for weapons? I guess the dispatcher wanted all the info possible. But damn, not sure I'd go back.
I understand looking for signs of life but seems really weird the 911 operator didn’t warn the caller not to touch any evidence.
It's ALL because the caller said the line, "I'm not sure if she's dead or not."
That opened the possibility up to the chance that the caller may not have found a dead body,
but rather a person barely alive who was in need of first aid immediately or they would soon be dead.
If the caller had determined that the person was still alive, then the operator would go through questions to know the severity of her condition,
and then go through medical procedures with the caller if immediate first aid was necessary sooner than medics who would be called would be able to provide.
If you recall what the caller said, he stated he had not noticed her when he walked by. It’s common sense that if you see an intact body one would check for life.

I can't believe the type of questions the caller was asked!

What chance do you have of being a decent human being when you have a mother like that…
"There but for the grace of god go any of us" as the saying goes. That is why I make no judgements on these sad people with their generational trauma
She had every chance NOT to kill her mother. No matter how she grew up, killing another human being isn't something that is raised into or out of us as we grow up.
@@Robbie1075 You've clearly never hit your breaking point. It's not excusable but it is an excuse.
Do you keep that same energy when the suspect is a man? @@AnnA-jd4xm
Jeff Dahmers parents were the nicest people you’d ever meet.
Used to make us meat soup when we were kids.
We’d use their backyard as a bmx bike course since they had a bunch of speed bump type ramps all over.
What a story…so sad
Well covered thank you

Right? They look bowling shoes 😂

I really like your narration and content! ❤️🇨🇦
Its so common that the person who did it, talks down about the victim
What good can you say about a mother who put her daughter on heroin and turned her to prostitution?
Her mom may have had issues that she was sick of dealing with but then leave her alone! U don’t go n do that to ur mom…wow! That’s just psychotic!
2004
My father and I were working in Virginia. If they are dead or badly injured, and I am by myself, I can't do it."
He told me that he gave the operator the exact instructions on where the car was at, and then he headed on down the road.
If you do not feel comfortable doing what they asked of you, you DO NOT have to do it.
So do not ever feel obligated to do it.
Personally, I could not.
My son lost his life less than a mile from our home in a bad car wreck. I knew he was involved because he was not responding to my phone calls or text messages.
I could not have the job the officers and paramedics have.
Sorry for your loss
Sorry for your loss :(

Stank, cigarettes, brain, blood, and dirt
😢😢😢
must have been head and shoulders sir
😂😂😂 bruh
Did you see the body? No, i used my dead body scanner.
Thank god for echolocation
So many broken people, sad …….
Dispatcher: Ok, can you get us a DNA sample from the body?
Caller: Gee, I don't know if I can...ok, gimme a sec.
I was thinking he SHOULD have told the man to back off and leave the scene. From what I know, as soon as someone says they see a de@d body, the police alert them to immediately remove themselves from the scene.
She should have caught a charge for those shoes.

Definitely harder to judge somebody that was dragged into prostitution alongside her own mother... Pure tragedy
I hope the youngest daughter can stop the cycle of abuse in that family lineage.
Hopefully she's not gonna carry on the family business.
I pray for all those affected by this.
Generational trauma goes full circle ⭕️
The victims mother also did the same things the victim did. The victim is my half aunt and her mom is my biological grandmother
Thank you for subtitles 🙏
I can’t help but feel bad for her. Her mother destroyed her life. An addict mother making an addict daughter. 😞
I thought for a moment the 911 Dispatcher was going to ask the caller if he could perform an autopsy on the body. smh
It’s always so interesting when beyond evil telling the story with that voices 😍
It’s really my favorite 😁
Does the 911 operator want the caller to solve the crime too?
Normally I would think they wouldn't want you to disturb the scene by trampling on shoe print or stuff or am I way off on that?
that is one of the most professional and kind detectives ive ever seen. an actual good one.
