The three craziest things that happen in this video: 1. The intruder saying "I have the right to conceal my identity" whilst invading a home. 2. The mom keeping herself in close proximity to the intruder whilst holding a ranged weapon. 3. The mom not allowing the intruder to leave (Safety is more important than justice at that moment.)

When she got her lawyer involved, the media back tracked and brushed it under the rug. Remember, that story made national news somehow. This story you're watching on RUclips did not.

This is truly a bizarre case. If a person was watching that video without any context, they would likely think it's some sort of skit with the way everyone is presenting themselves in it. Very strange.
Right?! They already have him on film and on a 911 call comitting a crime. At that point if they want to leave then let them because forcing them to stay will only escalate the situation
Exactly! They already had him on camera too. The mom (unintentionally of course) put her and her kids at risk by completely triggering the home invader to become desperate and violent. What a sad and tragic case all around. I hope her kids find some peace & healing 🤍

Having said that, I'm perfectly capable of having conversations with people who don't agree with me, as long as it stays civil. (Bullshit caveats because... You Tube commenters.) I think the boy's mother absolutely did the right from beginning to end. Unlike the narration, I never heard his mother say a single thing that sounded like she was trying to get him out of anything. She was just letting him know that she still loves him and will do what she can to help him get through this. You've heard this phrase a million times, **and on every single video EMU puts out...** NEVER TALK TO THE POLICE WITHOUT AN ATTORNEY PRESENT, EVEN IF YOU'RE INNOCENT** And they're absolutely right!!!
100 Percent. Owning a gun with no training was obviously more dangerous than not having a gun for protection. At least try a warning shot if you're apprehensive about applying force. Your first priority should be eliminating the threat from your home and not holding hostages until police arrive
If you call 911 and you tell them anything that sound slightly weird, they are automatically lowering your priority because now there is so many pranksters and swatting calls they have to do some filtering. Imagine if this guy was wearing some lingerie and was threatening them with a giant dil?o, it would've taken probably like an hour for the police to arrive...

He acted, talked, and "armed" himself exactly how I would imagine an unprepared 14 year old would when breaking into a house. The mom and the girls however are so bizarre. "LEAVE MY HOUSE" followed by "YOU'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE." Honestly this strikes me as a family that watched one too many viral videos of citizens arrests and thought they could pull it off. Limp wristing a gun 2-3 feet away from a cornered intruder while looking at your phone is about the dumbest shit I have ever seen. Absolutely nobody was taking this as seriously as they should have. I understand having apprehension about shooting someone that sounds like a kid, but then why not let him leave? It's better to be safe than be the hero. This whole situation is so stupid.

The daughter that knows he had hazel eyes and a scar on his elbow from a motorbike accident knows way too much, the father saying the kid is 5’6” “I don’t know how I know that” when his only part during this was on the phone… when the mother, the daughter and the suspect agree that he knows mom lives next door… why does everyone take that for granted? I disagree with these responses. I think it's far more likely that she didn't shoot him because she didn't believe it was necessary. She apparently didn't believe she was in imminent danger of death or great bodily harm. Her mistake, obviously, was to be entirely too close to him ...close enough that he could easily grab the gun. @@nickxcaliber7991 yeah, no. This has literally nothing to do with gender. It could have happened to a man just as easily. Feminism doesn’t mean that women think they are just as “strong” as men, believe me when I say tell you that we understand biology and the fact that men are biologically “stronger” and larger than women. Feminism is about women’s rights and the fact that we should have the same rights as men. We should have the same bodily autonomy as men. Literally no one is saying that women are just as physically strong as men. Can they be? Absolutely. There are some women who are incredibly strong. Now if you compare an incredibly strong woman to an incredibly strong man, the man is going to be stronger, but if you put a strong woman against a guy who is a couch potato, she will most likely be stronger.
